Summary/Abstract: The article seeks reflections of the novel Idiot (1869) by F. Dostoevsky in the poem Devilish (1927) by A. Dalchev, who is a passionate admirer of the Russian novelist, especially in the first period of his career. The tragic experience of the impending death and the planned suicide are the basis on which a parallel reading of the narrative about НippolyteTerentiev and the confession of Dalchev's lyrical hero takes place. The interpretation highlights and interprets the convergences and differences between the two texts, not failing to note the intertextual connections of Devilish with other Dostoevsky’s works.
