Summary/Abstract: The paper concerns issues about the structure of likeness in the art form examined by Losev and Florensky. The likeness makes sense of the transfer between image and prototype and adopts the correspondence between them. There is an independent realm where the art form stems from and evokes itself – the realm of prototype. In spite of their correspondence the structure of prototype cannot be reduced to the structure of art form, because the very prototype is the inexpressible one in the art form. Losev and Florensky insist on the statement that the wholeness of the artwork consists in the unspoilt unity of the prototype.
