Linguistic and Sociocultural Diversity, Quo Vadis?

Summary/Abstract: The importance of the diversity issue, in the culture and in language(s), already preoccupies us for an important number of years. Our text synthesises the reflections during the linguistic research which we undertook in order to prove the fact that the “dilemmas” linked to the DIVERSITY are, in reality, on the one hand of our existence, which cannot be ignored, but neither in the socio-cultural plan, neither in the linguistic plan. The premise from which we start calls forth the primordiality of the culture and that of the new current epistemological context. In addition to “revisiting” some recognised/known authors and theories, we propose to show the manner in which these cultural “inheritances” are included in the DIVERSITY’S large space.
