The Book of Tobit, director's model for the popular imaginary

Summary/Abstract: Our intention is to provide a general perspective on how, in view of a certain historical context, local beliefs suffer foreign intrusions meant to change, at least partially, the general view of the sacred. Thus, syncretism is regarded as an act of selective rewriting of foreign exposures, in terms of the native sacral vocabulary, a process that will not be completed not even after Dacia's "conquest" of Christianity.
