Summary/Abstract: An intellectual capital of a university is its basic intangible resource. It is also (or should be) the effect of its functioning. The diversification of intellectual capital definitions, which can be observed in the literature, is the result of the fact that they are created by the representatives of different professions and disciplines. In general, the intellectual capital is the information and knowledge used by a company for the purpose of creating value or also the resources of personal knowledge belonging to an organization. The paper discusses the conditions related to the measurement of universities’ intellectual capital. The paper focuses on one of the elements of university’s intellectual capital and it presents as well the results of an empirical research conducted by the author on a sample of students of Poznan University of Economics.
