Summary/Abstract: In the fourth volume of the Kor/ridor, Slovak-Hungarian Historical Journal two studies can be read: Balázs Ablonczy analyzes the phenomenon of plural identity through three careers from 20th century linked with Czechoslovakia. This study however is not aiming to describe assimilating groups or politically constructed identities, but tries to understand better the identity of rim groups having a different cultural horizont from the majority. In his study Gabor Czoch examines the nationalities' constitution in Kassa in the 19th century, based on the census of 1850–1851. The study describes a city with population of various ethnicities, where besides the confessional tolerance the transition between the bulkheads of national identities is also a frequent phenomenon. Springing from this context we can reflect how, when and at what degree will the question of national identity become a decisive factor of socialization. In our Critique coloumn we present a monography analyzing the action of a Hungarian party acting in Slovakia during the World War II ., an anthology of studies dealing with the Trianon peace treaty from a new perspective diverging from political interpretations, a corpus published ont he 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Slovak Lutheran congregation in Budapest and dealing with their history. A volume focusing on the nationality problems of Czechoslovakia between the two World Wars, the monography of Miroslav Kmeť, and a book analyzing the forms of Slovak identity in the 19th century. In our Portrait coloumn we present György Kövér, an outstanding Hungarian Economic- and Social Historiograper.
