The research design encompasses seven main themes related to the student-athletes’ dual career in a university environment identified from an overview of the existing literature. These were operationalised into a special for the purpose questionnaire. Education is an activity requiring lengthy efforts and perseverance, as well as skills for acquiring information and its creative usage. Long-term objectives serve as coordinating terms leading to particular goals in the everyday life and thus, behaviour could be rationalized and directed in a longer prospective towards both the past and the future. The aim of the present study is to survey the opinion and personal assessment of the long-term motivation of students from UNSS, Sofia. The results of the study were processed mathematically and statistically by: variational analysis; relative share; comparative analysis of two independent samples using Man Whitney's U-test and comparative analysis of the frequency distributions with χ² - the Pearson criterion. According to the generalized conclusions, a higher percentage of the students is directed towards long-term objectives and prospects. Women are more motivated in their long-term development than men but there are not statistically significant differences along all the questions. Students motivation is higher than the average one for the whole population. We believe, however, that the motivation changes in the course of the studies and we assume it is higher for the students who are about to graduate.

In the present study, we evaluate the effect of applied set of exercises over the abdominal muscles of the Cheerleading team at UNWE. To confirm our theory that significant impact on the abdominal muscles' strength during cheerleading trainings will improve it, we conducted a one-year study during 2018/2019 academic year. Twenty-six female students from UNWE took part in it, divided in two separate groups. The first group consisted of thirteen female students, currently playing in the cheerleading team. The second control group was formed by thirteen former cheerleader competitors. The groups executed the exercises provided in the approved curriculum. The results of the applied set of exercises were subjected to mathematical and statistical processing, thus proving the successfulness of the experiment. Furthermore, it is necessary to continue observing new possibilities for greater intensity and efficiency in the implementation of the training program. This will lead to better sport results.

In the paper we discuss the importance of realizing the responsibility of the role of a parent, who for children from early age represents an identification model, a pattern of sorts. A pre-school aged child not only imitates this pattern, but also internalizes it, along with the values the family presents. In this study, we present a model of character formation and analyze the possible threats for today's families that are involved in the de-/formation of the family atmosphere and consequently contribute to the child moral development de-/formation.

The authors of this paper deal with issues of contemporary education where, in general, there are no real ideals. Education as such in the family also presupposes the internalization of different ideals, values and norms. Where there is no father and mother pattern, there socialization of children is at risk. In the current world, the offer of various idols is immensely rich, so children simply and without criticism internalize pseudo-values, which is also offered by pseudopedagogy itself. The contribution also critically reflects on the philosophy of the Istanbul Convention, as this document denies and rejects the current socio-traditional ideals and values.

The paper deals with parenthood and its changes in connection with divorce. It shows a close link between parenting and partnership. Children are most often entrusted by the court to mothers. The role of both parents is gradually beginning to be emphasized, the number of children in alternating care of parents or the joint care of parents is increasing. The author draws attention to the negative consequences of divorce for parents and children. Parents forget about their parenthood because of their partner conflicts and are unable to communicate with each other for the benefit of the child. The author sees the solution in strengthening support for parents and children, especially in the expansion of interdisciplinary cooperation between the court, the department of social and legal protection of children, the psychologist, attorneys and the mediator within the so-called Cochemical Practice.

The study presents the international context of Cuban independence, discussing the motives behind and process of the North American intervention that caused the war between Spain and the USA in 1898. Although president William McKinley did not want a conflict with Spain, he had no choice because Congress and common opinion resolutely demanded the end of European dominance in the area. They referred to the Monroe-doctrine and the cruel reconcentration policy of governor general Valeriano Weyler that produced a grave humanitarian crisis in Cuba. Diplomacy between the USA and the Hispanic Monarchy suffered a breakdown that resulted in the war. The article investigates the relations of the three states and the economical motives of Spain in insisting on continued influence over the island despite the fact that Cuba did not yield any profit because of its economic relations with the USA.

Several theories have been propounded, some of which have been reviewed recently and conceived as newer formulations. This study focuses on seven major theories in the field of WLB, indicating the field work within the framework of these theories, the locale & sample of the study and the measures used in the study. The motivation is able to provide future researchers in the field with an integrated indication vis-a-vis the fieldwork.

The aim of the research is to analyse the bullying suffered during school age, as well as the relationship between bullying experiences and young adult’s personality along the Big5 personality traits, as well as global self-esteem. The study involved 209 young adults between the ages of 17 and 34, with a mean age of 21 years. The tools used in the survey are a demographic questionnaire, a self-reporting bullying questionnaire, the Big Five Inventory (BFI), and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The research uses a correlation strategy, the statistical tests used in the data processing are descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, Pearson’s correlation and analysis of variance (anova). According to our results, a large proportion (77.7%) of respondents experienced bullying in school as children, 23.8% every day or almost every. 23.1% admitted they harassed others during their school years. Regarding the personality traits, the results show that individuals who had experienced school bullying are significantly more neurotic and less extraverted than their than their unexperienced peers, and more frequently bullying is associated with lower extraversion, lower friendliness, and greater openness. Persons who had committed bullying are significantly less conscientious than their peers who have not. As for help-seeking behaviour, nearly half of young people did not tell anyone about what had happened, only 28% sought help from an adult and only 13% actually received help. These results clearly stress the importance of developing school policies against bullying, which specifically address prevention, but also intervention.
