„… byly deformovány jak kádrově, tak z hlediska vědecké nezávislosti…“. Příspěvek k dějinám transformace Akademie věd

Author(s): Luboš Studený / Language(s): Czech Issue: 1/2020

The paper deals with the transformation of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (CSAS) on the example of the Forecasting Institute of CSAS. It follows the Institute’s status from the starting point before November 1989 until its final dissolution by the first general assembly of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1993 and includes the context of the position of the whole CSAS. The paper examines the (negotiation) strategies of the Institute’s leaders and its new academic council in their interaction with the CAS leaders and their attempts to ensure the legitimacy of the threatened existence of the Institute. Using the new institutionalism approach, the paper analyses the attempts to adapt to new conditions, which the Institute undertook along with the Economic and Social-Economic Institute of CSAS and which were rejected by the leaders of the Academy.

„Галичка сватба“ от Република Македония – между обреда и фестивала

„Галичка сватба“ от Република Македония – между обреда и фестивала

Author(s): Veselka Toncheva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 10/2015

The text presents the festival, dedicated to the traditional wedding in the village of Galichnik, Republic of Macedonia, in the light of the relation “tradition – modernity”. The Galichnik Wedding Festival was founded in 1963, it is an annual festival in which a selected couple gets married in the traditional “Galichka” style wedding. Traditionally the wedding lasted for 5 days with the main activities on St. Peter's Day (12 July) every year. It was the only period of the year when couples got married, because it is typical for the local people called “miyatsi” (ethnographic group). Today Galichnik Wedding Festival is part of the festival “Galichko Leto” (Galicnik Summer) and it is a two-day event held on the weekend nearest to 12 July and it serves as a cultural and tourist attraction. Practically, however, this contemporary version of the ritual is “artificial” in the words of Yovanka Yurukoska (born in Galicnik, 1930), it is commercialized and it is part of the developing of cultural and rural tourism in Macedonia.

„Майнкрафт“ като образователен инструмент за реализиране на интегрирания подход

Author(s): Daniela Hristova,Tanya Srebreva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 3/2022

Teaching the basics of coding at Alexander Georgiev-Kodzhakafaliyata Primary School develops students’ digital literacy, algorithmic thinking and skills to design familiar objects, processes and phenomena thanks to popular game Minecraft. This approach serves not to replace the regular lesson but as a parallel which extends and builds upon the learning process in order to develop synthetic competences. Thus emerges a natural necessity to look integrally at specific topics which fail to fit entirely into one scientific area. Students research historical records and then make a 3D Minecraft model of a historic site – the Greek Acropolis, which is part of the learning material in History in grade 5. They not only learn more about the site but also apply the skills of cooperation, effective communication, creativity and critical thinking.

Author(s): Gordana Zalad / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 77/2022

In this paper, we have analysed the authentic testimony of Goli otok prisoner Smilja Filipčev. We interviewed Smilja during multiple encounters from 2011 to 2013. Our second source for this paper was her short book Open Door to Life. Chronicle of a Family. We had chosen Smilja Filipčevʼs testimony because her suffering was a precedent since it had been extended through most of her life. At the time of the Resolution of Informbureau in 1948, all members of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia had to opt for or against the Resolution. On the party meeting, Smilja said that members of the Party should attend the meeting in Bucharest and defend the Partyʼs stance. Those words were her verdict which affected not only her life, but also the life of her entire family. The sufferings of Smilja Filipčev and her family had begun during the Second World War, had its peak during the Resolution of Informbureau 1948 – 1956 and its concentration camps and they even stretched into the period after her internment. Our main hypothesis was that the most loyal Communists who uncompromisingly believed in their idols of the equality and truth were being most heavily punished in the camps for re-education of convicts. We have shown and proved our hypoth- esis with the life experience of Smilja Filipčev and her family. We selected Smilja because her life had been full of sufferings and because she was willing to talk about it – other women victims we had met were not. We had not found the official evidence of torture and maltreatment done by investigators, managers or revised women prisoners in the prisons and camps, and that fact was the main reason for writing this paper. Everything Smilja said during our encounters and interviews and wrote in her book represents an authentic document worth of our attention.

„Ще публикуваме във всички наши профили в социалните мрежи и ще бъдем заедно“. Проучване на активности при затворени музеи

Author(s): Silvia Trifonova-Kostadinova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 21/2022

The text presents digital activities of 12 museums in three lockdowns 2020-2021. Ways of communicating with audiences, frequency and success of interaction are discussed in detail. Successes and failures are situated in the context that produced them, so that particular practices can be borrowed, but with the environment in which they will be used in mind. Approaches to work outline cultural policies that are limited but very different, as some museums share memorial publications and others narratives with stories. Both types rely on evoking emotions, but the latter are tied to complicity in the construction of stories.

„Ще трябва да се научим да продаваме нашия културен продукт...“, погледът на десет музейни експерти към времето на отворените/ затворени музеи

Author(s): Silvia Trifonova-Kostadinova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 21/2022

The text presents the interviews with experts from ten different museums in Bulgaria, which complement the variety of appearances of the museums, emphasize their desire for visibility and expand the geographical area of the research. At the same time, the interviews show much more clearly the search for models to respond to the challenges of the crisis, the wanderings and the unknowns that the museums are facing. Not all of the methods used to reach new audiences are successful, and museums do not always work adequately to the situation in which they find themselves.

Author(s): Dmitrii Lukianov / Language(s): Russian Issue: XXV/2020

It is a well-known fact that mass-media plays an important role in creating the language image of the world. In this article, the author analyses by what linguistic means the image of Russia is created in the texts of the Polish newspaper “Gazeta Wyborcza” and in which way the image of Poland is created in the texts of the Russian newspaper “Novaya Gazeta”. Based on this analysis, the author reveals what main characteristics Poles and Russians attribute to one other. Furthermore, the author explores how Poles and Russians perceive each other in the area of politics, economy, history and culture – aspects which are frequently taken up by the media. Therefore, the author investigates articles which are dedicated to Polish-Russian relations and connected to political, economic and historical events. The analysis of Polish media shows that through the prism of political, economic and historical events, Polish-Russian relations are seen negatively, whereas regarding cultural events, Polish-Russian relations are perceived positively. However, if it comes to the image of Poland presented in the Russian newspaper “Novaya Gazeta” – regardless whether the articles are about politics, economy, history and culture – the image is positive and relatively stable.

Children`s rights are not only with a legal but also with a pedagogical character. They take into account not only children`s specifics but they also bear educational messages. Janusz Korczak who is considered as a herald of the children`s rights has special merits in this respect. His idea regarding the children and childhood, which was exposed almost one hundred years ago, is reinvented again today and it is decoded as “pedagogical spirit” of the Convention of the rights of the child.
