Стање и перспективе развоја бањског туризма у Србији

Author(s): Dobrica Jovičić / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 4/2008

Apart from very contaminated spatial areas, there are places with attractive and non-polluted environment, that are suitable for tourism and recreation. Such places are spa resorts, characterized by numerous and various natural elements having significant health and recreative functions (thermo-mineral springs, rare gases, favorable climatic conditions, rich vegetation, etc.), which attract attention of ample tourist demand. Serbia is welknown as a 'country of spa resorts', because of a great number of thermo-mineral springs, long tradition and their significance for tourism economy. Official statistical service keeps records of tourist flows only at 30 spa resorts (approximately), having participation at 95% of the total tourist trade in Serbia's spas. The topic of this paper is devoted to estimation of the present state and perspectives of spa tourism in Serbia. Special attention is focused on: analysis of resources for spa tourism, discussion of key factors for tourist valorization of Serbia's spas, investigation of structural features of spa tourism, comparison of Serbia's experiences in domain of spa tourism with contemporary trends in certain spa resorts in other European countries, and, finally, defining the most important tasks for spa tourism improvement.

Author(s): Milimir Lojović,Obren Gnjato / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 13/2016

East Herzegovina is a geographical term for the southeast part of the Republic of Srpska, which includes the municipalities of Trebinje, Trebinje, Ljubinje, Berkovići, Gacko, Nevesinje and East Mostar with 365 settlements, covering 3827 square kilometers that is populated by about 73000 inhabitants. Conditional borders of this geographical area are determined by the functional impact of the main urban center of Trebinje. Considering the presence of different civilizations in this area, architectural heritage as a cultural expression of eastern Herzegovina can be studied through the most important architectural and structural forms: the old fortified towns (fortress), bridges, stone dams, rural architecture and similar, symbolizing the cultural and historical past of the people who live in this region. Many fortified towns (forts) were “scattered” throughout several sites of Eastern Herzegovina in the Middle Ages, which testifies to their size and the cultural and historical significance. Among the most important are: The Old Town of Trebinje (Castel), Mičevac, Klobuk, Staro Slano and Strac near Trebinje, Kostur-Koštun Berkovići, Kljuc and Gat near Gacko.

In connection with the collapse of the USSR In most of the post-Soviet republics, politics began (somewhere more, somewhere less obvious) to push out the population of non-indigenous nationality. Due to the current situation, Russia, which has preserved relatively transparent border with the post-Soviet republics, turned into a powerful migration center, where millions of former Soviet citizens rushed. Analysis here structural change of immigration, emigration and migration to the demographic development of. Then we look at the immigration as a determinant of the demographic development of Russia in the 21st century.

Териториално разпределение на българските народни песни според функциите им (По данни от електронен фонд към архив на Катедра „Българска литература“ при ВТУ „Св. св. Кирил и Методий“)

Author(s): Svetla Dzhivtereva / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 16/2018

The research is based on 140 000 Bulgarian folk songs taken from the Archive of the Bulgarian Literature Department’s Electronic Fund at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. The distribution of eight groups of folk songs is presented as aggregated data in the form of graphs and maps. These eight groups are: 1. Carols, 2. St. Lazarus songs, 3. Easter songs, 4. Wedding songs, 5. Harvest songs, 6. Sedenka (women’s gathering) songs, 7. Round-dance songs, 8. Table songs. Choosing a specific group of songs covers different aspects of the folklore culture – calendar and family rituality, social and labor customs and rites. The territorial distribution is based on the administrative division of Bulgaria by districts, which was in force until 1959. The research determines the quantitative parameters of the studied functional groups as well as their percentage share against the overall number of songs in the different regions. Based on this information, there have been made maps (Map 1–8), which present the distribution of these groups in the different Bulgarian districts and enable the traceability of some basic trends and regularities. The research is based on 140 000 Bulgarian folk songs taken from the Archive of the Bulgarian Literature Department’s Electronic Fund at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. Территориальные особенности развития прибрежных микрорайонов Балтийского региона

Территориальные особенности развития прибрежных микрорайонов Балтийского региона

Author(s): Gennady Mikhaylovich Fedorov,Tatiana Yuryevna Kuznetsova / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 1/2019

Active interactions between the countries, regions, economic entities, non-profits, and inhabitants of the Baltic Sea territories contributed to the emergence and development of a transnational socioeconomic region. The Baltic macroregion is one of the most developed among international regions that appeared as a result of regionalization, which is strengthened by globalization. At the same time, its creation is a consequence of coastalization, which affects settlement patterns and the spatial organization of the economy. In academic literature, this factor is primarily seen as a general tendency; however, there are significant geographical differences. The impact of the coastalization on the Baltic region has not been studied sufficiently. Based on available statistics, this article analyses differences in the levels and rates of settlement and economy in the coastal zone and the rest of the Baltic region. The economic, statistical and cartographical methods were applied. The indicators of the study objects condition include population density and growth rate, gross regional product (GRP) per capita, and GRP growth rate. The study covers the period from 2005 to 2016. The obtained results have allowed identifying the features of ‘coastalization’ at the microlevel by country, showing that this factor is less significant in Russia, Germany, and Poland than in the other countries of the region. Thus, the study identifies microregions with a varying effect of the ‘maritime’ factor on their development. These patterns can be used in developing national strategic and spatial planning documents and in international spatial planning efforts in the Baltic region.

Author(s): Zora Živanović,Mirjana Devedžić,Gordana Vojković / Language(s): English / Issue: 148/2014

The aim of this paper was to present the main features of spatial redistribution of the population in the Belgrade region in the period from 1971 to 2011, by following the ratio between natural and migration components of population change in residential areas. The analysis was conducted using the modified Clarke’s model. According to the 2011 Census, the Belgrade region is inhabited by 1,659,440 residents living in 157 settlements. As the most developed part of Serbia, for a long time Belgrade has been the destination of the majority of those who changed their place of permanent residence within national boundaries. During the observed forty-year period, the immigration significance of certain settlements in Belgrade region changed in accordance with the socio-economic and demographic circumstances. This paper explores how the type of the population dynamics of settlements transformed, the most important changes and new problems that have arisen concerning the settlement structure in the Belgrade region.

ТОПОНИМИЯТА НА БИВШАТА ОРЯХОВСКА ОКОЛИЯ

ТОПОНИМИЯТА НА БИВШАТА ОРЯХОВСКА ОКОЛИЯ

Author(s): Ivalina Vassileva / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 18/2020

This study is the end result of the author’s extended exploration of the onomastic diversity of her home region. The text consists of a theoretical part, register of the villages, list of abbreviations and a dictionary of the local names. The research was initiated in 2007, concluded in 2019 and spread over 31 villages on the territory of the former Oryahovo municipality. Currently those villages are part of Vratsa district. The main information sources of the text are two: 1. The Master’s thesis of Roumiana Ivanova (1972), under the supervision of Prof. Nikolai Kovachev, “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo. 2. The gathered by the author toponymical material — individually and as part of a project funded by the Centre of Bulgarian Onomastics at “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo. The study confirms the initial working hypothesis that a sizeable part of the toponymical material collected during 1972, is well preserved and could be amassed even today. The loss of parts of the onomastic data from the region is due to the inevitable cultural, historical, and socio-economic changes on local and national level. Finally, the active bilingualism remains present in the everyday speech and name formation process in the area of the so called “Vlachs villages”.

Тражиоци азила у Србији – између закона и стварности

Author(s): Stefan Denda / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 11/2014

Because of crisis in the territory of the Middle East and North Africa the number of asylum seekers is continuously increasing since 2008. This sudden increase has affected the adoption of a series of regulations among which stands out the “Asylum law“. The opening of two asylum seekers centres in Banja Koviljača and Bogovađa and a number of temporary centres do not meet the needs of asylum seekers. The presence of asylum seekers leads to conflict with local communities in mentioned places. All reactions of the local population are accompanied by xenophobia which are indicated by many opinion polls. A special role is played by juvenile asylum seekers who have been identified as the most vulnerable because they are placed in Institutions for the education of childeren and youth. With all the activities in this field, there are many actions taken regarding the readmission bearing in mind that Republic of Serbia has signed “Readmission agreement“ with European Union. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to point out the main features of asylum population in Serbia, institutional procedures and problems that asylum sekeers face during their stay in Serbia.

Транзиција типова кретања становништва Војводине у периоду од 1961. до 2011. године

Author(s): Vanja Javor / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 11/2014

Spatial aspects of demographic development systems, which are influenced by the relations between population growth and its components of natural increase and migration rate known as Clark's models of types of population movements, were introduced in Yugoslav literature in the 1970s and are used until today in empirical analyzes of population development of Serbia. This indicator in our literature is frequently used to assess the achieved state of demographic transition flows. Objective work is just a general overview of the transition types of population trends in the past half century, and intertwining transitional trends in the natural renewal and migration of the population in Vojvodina, based on which is formed the total population potentials in the period from 1961. to 2011.

Трансформации на фолклорната и религиозната култура в Странджа през призмата на обичая Еньова буля и култа към св. Модест

Author(s): Mira Markova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 4/2020

Over the last decades, the Strandzha region suffers a serious demographic crisis and the outflow of population results in significant change in the local culture. The empirical data of the current research is based on fieldwork in villages of Fakia (Central Strandzha, Sredets Municipality). The aim is to give a picture of the current condition of the folklore and religious culture through symbolic and specific phenomena. Enyova bulya custom is widely spread in Strandzha region and is conceived as an accent in the Enyovden (Yanovden) celebrations that take place on the 24th of June and is one of the main summer feast days until the ’60s of the 20th century. Enyova bulya is associated with fertility, maiden's transition and the well-being of the settlement community. Today, the custom is disconnected from the context of the festive life of the researched community as far as the world view of the main actors has been changed. Main doers are elderly women, the time of the celebrations is not exactly fixed thus the sacredness of the actions is automatically degenerated. A conclusion can be made that the custom nowadays has the characteristics of a tourist attraction in some aspects. Keeping the celebrations is perceived as a need to declare local identity and local diversity. The transformations in the religious culture of the researched community can be analysed in a similar direction. St. Modest cult (celebrated on December 18) is seen as “typical only for Strandzha region”. In the past, the cult is related to the local livelihood – livestock-raising and agriculture. For example, in Fakia village is believed that the woman that gives out ritual bread first will be the first to finish harvesting. Today, as a result of drastic changes in livelihood, the cult exists as a characteristic of local religious culture – grounds for the local dimensions of cultural identity. Anyway, ritual practices serve the local identity. Searching a motivation in tradition keeps alive a local peasant community in process of dramatic demographic and social crises in Strandzha region.

Трендови старења становништва Србије с почетка 21. века и перспективе до 2061. регионални аспект

Author(s): Goran D. Penev / Language(s): English / Issue: 148/2014

The results of the 2011 Census confirm that Serbia is still among countries with the oldest population in Europe. Persons aged 65+ outnumbered those under the age of 15 by 20% (17.4% versus 14.4%), and the median age was 42.7 years. Population ageing has continued, but it was slower in the intercensal period of 2002–2011 than during the 1980s and 1990s.Population ageing in Serbia has not only continued but is also widespread at all territorial levels. According to the 2011 Census, in all four statistical regions (NUTS 2), people aged 65 or older outnumbered those under the age of 15 and, in comparison to 2002, regional differences in the key indicators of population ageing increased. Heterogeneity is more present at lower territorial levels (cities/municipalities) with the least favourable age structure which will be pointed out. This paper also explores trends of components of population dynamics in the intercensal period 2002–2011, as well as causal relationship with the change of the age structure.Current demographic trends (low fertility, negative natural increase, net emigration) and very old age structure severely limit the spectrum of future demographic changes both in the medium and especially in the short term. The situation is particularly influenced by the entrance of the large baby boom generation in the elderly ages. Explorations of future population trends are conducted based on the author’s own demographic projections for Serbia until 2061 (revision 2014).

Трудовая миграция китайцев в Россию в годы Первой мировой войны

Трудовая миграция китайцев в Россию в годы Первой мировой войны

Author(s): Michail Viktorovich Khodyakov,Zhiqing Zhao / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 18/2017

The article, based on archival materials, discloses the process of hiring of Chinese workers and their transport from Harbin to Russia during the First World War. The main objective, pursued by the Russian government, was an attempt to alleviate the labor crisis in the economy. That policy of organized import of Chinese workers into Russia had a lot of opponents. Despite this, the Russian government recognized the need to “temporarily” allow free passage of the borders of Russia by Chinese nationals who were hired to work in the steel and coal companies. By the resolutions of the Council of Ministers the passport privilege was provided for recruited workers for the crossing of the border. By 1916, government circles were fully aware that the task of transporting a large number of Chinese in the European part of Russia would not be solved by none of the organizations created for this purpose. Minister of Finance P. L. Bark suggested to unite the efforts of all structures on hiring Chinese and their transportation to Russia. These functions were assigned to the control of the Chinese Eastern Railway and General D. L. Horvath. The city of Harbin became the main center for shipment of recruited Chinese workers to Russia and a special sanitary and observation post were established there. However, the management of the railway, that was in charge of the transportation of Chinese workers, faced with a large number of problems (organizational, medical, social) and was not fully prepared to solve it. However, during the years 1915–1917 over 74 000 Chinese workers passed through Harbin to Russia. They have been involved in railway construction and many industrial sites. However, this did not save the Russian economy from the impending collapse.
