The goal of this paper is to investigate the relations existing between the total number of apartments and the number of apartments in which one, two, three or more households live, as well as the relations existing between the total number of apartments and the number of apartments in which 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or more persons live. Since these relations are linear, the analyses were carried out with the coefficient of the simple linear correlation and the coefficient of the simple linear determination. Furthermore, the paper investigated the relations existing between the size of apartments and the number of apartments in which one, two, three or more households live, as well as the relations existing between the size of apartments and the number of apartments in which 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or more persons live. Since these relations are nonlinear, the analyses were carried out with the index of the simple nonlinear correlation and the index of the simple nonlinear determination.

Исследуя церковную общину в малом городе: роль священника и другие аспекты православной общинности

Исследуя церковную общину в малом городе: роль священника и другие аспекты православной общинности

Author(s): Polina Vrublevskaya / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 3/2015

This article is devoted to the everyday life of an Orthodox parish in a small town in Russia. Starting with a critical analysis of existing approaches to measuring religiosity, the author tries to find ”communal” dimensions of religiosity, which typify Orthodox Christianity in today’s Russia. The text traces the history of the local churchsince its restoration and analyzes a variety of interactions and the development ofrelations among Orthodox parishioners, as well as their relations with the priests. Drawing on ethnographic data and interviews, the author identifies indicators suitable for analyzing parish life and what it means to belong to the parish community. The conclusion is that the parish community is formed of extensive and continuous interactions among parishioners that are not limited to religious practices yet still initiated by clergy. It is suggested that the figure of the priest should take a central place when studying Orthodox parish communities. The article also describes how to incorporate these aspects into further investigations of Orthodox Christianity.

Истанбул в представите на туристите от България

Author(s): Magdalena Elchinova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 1/2017

The author discusses the results from a fieldwork study of the knowledge and views of Istanbul among tourists from Bulgaria. The study is based on interviews with people between the ages of 21 and 50, university graduates or students, representatives of the so-called mass-tourists. Several factors that have determined the formation of the perceptions of the Turkish megalopolis are pointed out – historical and ideological influences, media, the Internet, advertisement, soap operas, accounts by friends and relatives, personal experience. Despite the individual variations, there are many similarities in these perceptions, determined by the shared tourist experience from the standardized organized trips, as well as by the shared stereotypes about Turkey and the Turks, shaped by national myths, historiographies and dominant ideologies and circulating in everyday life. It has been found out that immediate experience takes prevalence over the stereotypical notions, often leading to their fading-away or rejection by individuals. What immediately stands out in Bulgarian tourists’ opinions of Istanbul is the relation with the present-day, the modern and dynamic nature of the megacity, the culture contrasts and the amalgamation between the familiar and the unfamiliar.

ИСТИ ИЛИ ДРУГАЧИЈИ: СЛОБОДНО ВРЕМЕ МЛАДИХ У ВОЈВОДИНИ И У СВЕТУ

Author(s): Jelica Petrović,Marija Zotović / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 130/2010

Domestic researches of youth leisure time are still rare, although we live in a “leisure society“. The aim of the conducted research was to identify leisure time activities and level of leisure satisfaction of young people. The sample of the research includes 1103 respondents of adolescent age (pupils of secondary schools) from urban and rural areas in Vojvodina. The results of this research showed that youth in Vojvodina spend their leisure time similarly as their peers in other American and European countries. Typical patterns of young people’s activities in their spare time are mainly passive: those include activities such as watching TV and listening to the music, while cultural activities seemed to be rare. Preferred leisure time orientations are the orientation towards entertainment and the orientation towards spending time and going out with peers. Furthermore, results suggest high frequency of risky behavior among adolescents: tobacco and marijuana use. The most frequent risk behavior is alcohol use.

Историјско - географска анализа карте Корнелијуса де Јодеа

Историјско - географска анализа карте Корнелијуса де Јодеа "Croatia versus turcam" из 1593. године

Author(s): Mirko Grčić / Language(s): English,Serbian / Issue: 1/2017

This is the historical and geographical analysis of the old military and geopolitical map made by a Dutch cartographer from the Renaissance period of Cornelis de Jode in 1593, under the heading "Croatia & circumiacentiu[m] Region[m] versus Turcam nova delineatio". The map shows the part of the Military Frontier (Vojna krajina) in Croatia and Bosnia, as the site of war conflicts between the Habsburg and Ottoman Empires in the late 16th century. It is a beautiful combination of cartographic drawings and illustrations from the Renaissance, as well as an example of a practical combination of a geopolitical map and a military-political illustration. It represents an imagined projection of the relationship of forces, interests and conflicts in the area of former Croatia. The map contains two "layers" of information - cartographic and pictographic. In the research paper, the decoding of geographical names from the aspect of today's situation on the ground is performed. Barring the vignette of military fortifications, the map contains illustrations of a military-political character which meaning and context is also analyzed in the paper from the aspect of the historical circumstances of the map. In that context, the map is considered as a way of communication and representation of the Other, in this case the Ottoman. The specific context of the map is the hierarchy of power in the continuum of geographical space of different ranks - from the former empires, presented in the image of their mighty rulers, to belligerent vassal countries. It sublimates not only the military-political significance of the geographical space that it represents, but also the perception of the author, as well as the functions, expressive means and symbolism of geopolitical cartography in the Renaissance period.

Историческая география крымских территорий Генуэзской Газарии (1275—1475 гг.)

Историческая география крымских территорий Генуэзской Газарии (1275—1475 гг.)

Author(s): Sergei Gennadievich Bocharov / Language(s): Russian / Publication Year: 0

The article primarily focuses on the historical geography of the Crimean territories of the Genoese Gazaria. The Genoese Gazaria is the totality of the Genoese possessions on the lands of the Golden Horde, especially in the coastal areas of the Northern Black Sea, where the medieval toponym “Gazaria” was used to embrace the whole state of the Golden Horde. In general, there were no clear state borders in the Genoese Gazaria: those were coastal zones under the rule of the khans of the Golden Horde, where the Genoese would be given separate quarters in the cities and would enjoy autonomous rights, or would establish their settlements on the coast. The Crimean peninsula was an exception in this system, there the Genoese settled a whole system of cities and rural districts, with clear political and administrative borders. The domain of the Genoese on the Crimean peninsula developed into independent political and administrative system during a long and gradual process, which took a hundred years: from the origin of the main regional center in Caffa (around 1275) to 1387. The author addresses historical geography of the various administrative parts of the Genoese Gazaria on the Crimean peninsula: the rural district of Caffa, Consulates of Soldaia, Cembalo and Vosporo, and possessions on the Southern Coast of the Crimea, the Kerch Peninsula and the Tarkhankut Peninsula. He also analyzes findings of a study into the historical topography of the four fortified Genoese cities — Caffa, Soldaia, Cembalo and Vosporo.

Историческая география Среднего Поволжья: вторая половина XIV — первая половина XV в.

Author(s): Ayrat G. Sitdikov / Language(s): Russian / Publication Year: 0

The author discusses features of the Middle Volga region historical development in the second half of the 14th to first half of 15th c., in the Golden Horde decline period. The specificity of the three climatic zones of the Middle Volga region, which determined the economic structure and the originality of the population’s material culture, is taken into account. Following the economic boom and the growing number of urban and rural settlements in the first half of the 14th century, a decline and urban life degradation are traced later, as well as the population migration to the north due to military conflicts and climatic changes. On the other hand, new settlements, cities included, emerged in the Middle Volga in the late 14th to first half of the 15th century as a result of the influx of the Golden Horde servicemen, the Volga Finns and the Russians. In the first half of the 15th century, independent Tatar fiefdoms, or beilyaks are established here, and simultaneously prerequisites for the emergence of independent states — Kasimov and Kazan Khanates — are formed.

Историческая топография Увекского городища

Author(s): Dmitry A. Kubankin / Language(s): Russian / Publication Year: 0

The author publishes some new recently obtained and analyzed data related to historical topography of a Golden Horde city of Ukek. He specifically examines history of field research on the Uvek Hillfort, which dates back to 90s of 19 th c. His special focus in examining natural and geographic factors is on peculiar local topography affected by some landslides, as well as on a high hill with a flat top (the Uvek Mount), which gave the name to the city — Ukek, from a Mongolian word meaning ‘plateau’. Changes in landscape caused by either natural or anthropogenic factors are also assessed. New data on fortifications and hydraulic structures of the hillfort, a rich estate, a hammam, kilns and a mausoleum are also published and discussed in the article.

Author(s): Yuri Gennadievich Shikalov / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 5 (158)/2016

This article explores the problem of developing the concept of regional identity in Vyborg’s citizens from the late 1940s to the early 2000s. Since these processes are closely tied to the image or brand of the town, substantial emphasis is placed on the development of the town’s successive images and historical circumstances of their replacement. Three dominant images were revealed by the study. The first one was shaped right after the World War II and can be described by the formula “an ancient Russian town”. The second image was offered in the 1970s–1980s in order to make Vyborg an attractive destination for tourists from Finland. It was branded as “a home city for strangers”. The last image of Vyborg as a romantic and deeply medieval in spirit town is aimed at the enhancement of national tourism. The image was created in the early post-Soviet period and has been maintained until now.

Author(s): Arina G. Noskova / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 8 (185)/2019

This article is the first study on the churches of Kosmozero Pogost, located in the centre of the Zaonezhye Peninsula. Even the only remaining monument of the Pogost - the Church of Alexander Svirsky – has not been described in detail in the literature so far. The article traces the construction history and describes the architectural features of the Church of the Assumption (1720), the Church of Alexander Svirsky (1769–1770), the bell tower and the fence of the Pogost, using the archival sources found by the author. A number of new documents from the XIX and the XX centuries from the archives of Petrozavodsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow are introduced into scientific circulation. Previously unpublished materials of the research of these monuments conducted in the XX century are involved. The article expands the knowledge of church construction in Zaonezhye in the XVIII century, and enables to compare the monuments of this period with the earlier examples of the Western Prionezhye architectural tradition.

The article describes the history of collection, publication and study of the fishery and sea-hunting folklore of the White Sea Winter Shore. Chronologically, the research covers the period from the end of the XVIII century up to the present time. We identified 3 stages in the history of fishery and sea-hunting folklore study: local history, publications and research. The first stage involves eth-nographical and economical research of fishing and sea-hunting as a part of studying Pomors’ daily life. The first publications on the fishery and sea-hunting folklore texts and even their collections appeared during the second stage (the end of XIX century – 1970s). During the third stage (1970s – the present), folklorists studied different forms of fishery and sea-hunting folklore as a part of local traditions and local identity investigation. Furthermore, different research of certain genres pertaining fishery and sea-hunting folk-lore together with articles on certain local fishery and sea-hunting traditions continue to appear nowadays.

Источники капитализации региональных банков

Источники капитализации региональных банков

Author(s): Olga Sergeevna Miroshnichenko,Anna Tarasova / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 1/2018

Searching of sources to increase the capitalization of Russian banks is an important economic problem for both the national and regional economy. Moreover, a strong capital base allows to credit institutions to meet the demands of economic agents for banking service. The research focuses on the choice of sources of regulatory capital for the banks of Tyumen region in the context of changing supervisory requirements in the period of 2005–2016, in different phases of the business cycle. We apply econometric methods of statistical information using IBM SPSS Statistics software. We have calculated the individual correlations of regional banks’ capital with gross domestic product (GDP) (excluding gross regional product (GRP)) and GRP (with the exception of the effect of GDP). These calculations have shown that the capital of regional banks is related only to GDP. The increase in the capital of regional banks is accompanied by a change in its structure: the share of authorized capital has halved, and the share of subordinated debt has grown. All sources of capital, other than the reserve fund, are related to GDP. Authorized capital is associated with the profit of profitable lending institutions; retained earnings in the capital of regional banks — with the aggregated amount of risks of the banking system of the Russian Federation. Subordinated debt, like capital as a whole, is negatively affected by the profitability of the banking sector. The change in the capital of regional banks is determined by the change in retained earnings, subordinated debt and reserve fund. Modelling of these relations has allowed to obtain a system of equations. This system synthesizes linear regression models of changing the capital of regional banks in the context of their sourcing. The results of this study are significant for theoretical justification and practical development of a balanced financial policy of regional banks. Our research will contribute to strengthening an adequate capital base as well as to the creation of a system of proportional bank regulation and supervision.

ИСТРАЖИВАЊЕ КВАЛИТЕТА ЖИВОТА НА СЕВЕРУ ВОЈВОДИНЕ

Author(s): Iren Gabrić-Molnar / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 131/2010

The purpose of this paper is to present the results of the research pertaining to the quality of life of citizens in four municipalities in North Vojvodina. The empirical research was conducted by the Regional Science Association from Subotica during 2008. It mainly deals with the analysis of subjective indicators and viewpoints which suggest what could be of great assistance in improving the quality of life in the region. I have come to the conclusion that citizens are moderately satisfied with their quality of life and they are mostly concerned about their environment. Different nations have slightly different opinions about evaluation of social and political situation and the majority of the population is more critical. According to the respondents, political stability of the state and improvement of macroeconomic indicators could contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of families and individuals.

Истраживање просторнe организације мреже насеља Jужног поморавља у функцији израде просторног плана

Author(s): Dragutin Tošić,Nikola Krunić,Saša Milijić / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 6/2009

During the elaboration of the Regional spatial plan of the municipalities of Južno pomoravlje (Region Južno pomoravlje, Region) a special attention was paid to its network of settlements. Demographical and functional determinants of this network were analyzed based on the relevant theoretical-methodological concepts and qualitative-quantitative indicators. Settlement network of Južno Pomoravlje was considered as a subsystem of the Republic of Serbia’s settlements’ system. Correlation and causality between processes of spatial and socio-economic migration of population and functional transformation of settlements have been highlighted, which caused differentiation of the Region’s municipalities to: urban cores – peri-urban rings – suburban more or less urbanized villages and rural surroundings. Models of decentralized concentration and micro-developing nuclei are proposed as instruments for decentralization of the Region or its municipalities. Based on the level of spatialfunctional integration of settlements, regional as well as municipal and micro-functional – micro-regional structures have been identified. This paper gives conceptual and strategic proposals of spatial-functional organization of Južno pomoravlje, which are based on settlements’ determinants. Authors suggest that functional premises define determinants for the Regional spatial plan and steer the sectoral and strategic decisions.
