Kodeks dobrej praktyki referendalnej
One of the great achievements of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, known as the Venice Commission, was the adoption of the Code of Good Practice on Referendums on 68th plenary session on 13-14 October 2006. The Code was considered by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as ,,important and necessary tool in the activities of the Council of Europe to strengthen democracy and respect for the rule of law” and recommended to the Member States. The Code is a set of standards that apply to all types of referendums and regulate the issues concerned in a complex way. The purpose of the article is to present these standards and make the final overall assessment of this document.
