Цифровая коммуникация и проблемы перевода (на материале болгарских и русских сетевых текстов)

Author(s): Lyudmila Karpenko / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 3/2021

The problem of equivalence of digital translation in the global Internet network is considered. The subject of the study is the errors of digital translation in texts posted on the Internet in the Facebook network. The method of comparative semantic-contextual analysis is used. As a result of the study of texts translated from Bulgarian into Russian, it was found that communication failures are observed at all language levels: lexical-semantic, word-formation, grammatical and at the level of value-modal assessment of the situation. Translation errors reveal the use of English as an intermediary language in the translation of Slavic texts in network systems. It is concluded that the improvement of digital translation models requires more attention to the lexical-semantic, word-formation and grammatical specifics of the Slavic languages, to their realities and language pictures of the world.

Цифровые средства в обучении иностранным языкам: отбор и типологизация

Author(s): Dana BARTOSH,Natalia D. GALSKOVA,Maria Kharlamova,Elena Stoyanova / Language(s): English / Issue: 4/2020

The article is devoted to the problem associated with the use of digital means in the field of teaching foreign languages. The purpose of the article is the selection and systematization of educational digital means used in modern linguistic education, the linguodidactic potential of which most fully corresponds to the specifics of the subject “Foreign language” and the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard, as well as the identification of their typological characteristics. The basis for identifying generalized features and linguodidactic capabilities of various e-learning tools was the reliance on systemic and typological approaches using methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization. Based on the results of the study, digital teaching aids were typologized by the functions they perform in the process of teaching foreign languages and by the nature of these tools themselves. Each typological group included digital means that most fully meet the requirements of standards for the quality of language education and its results. The revealed typological characteristics of the indicated digital means are intended to simplify the teacher's choice of digital means for solving specific educational tasks and to help maximize their specific linguodidactic functions.

Църковният събор от 1360 г. в Търново и българо-еврейският религиозен конфликт от 50-те години на XIV век

Author(s): Hristo Saldzhiev / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 1/2021

The article focuses on problems relating to the Jewish community’s origin in medieval Tarnovo, the reasons that provoked the Bulgarian-Jewish conflict from the 1350ies and its aftermaths. The hypothesis that Tarnovo Jews originated from Byzantine and appeared in medieval Bulgarian capital at the end of the 12th century as manufacturers of silk is proposed. The religious clash from the 1350ies is ascribed to the influence exerted by some Talmudic anti-Christian texts on the local Jewish community, to the broken inner status-quo between Christians and Jews after the second marriage of the Bulgarian tsar Ivan Alexander and to the reactions of part of the Christian population against the breach of this status-quo.

Author(s): Ivan Velchev / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2017

The short story “Carambuka”, written by Radichkov, exemplifies the notion of text as a complex construction, in which are included paratext, intertext, author and reader. Postmodern effort to estimate critically the relationship between language and reality, this literary work appraises prescribed models of reading and writing. In a deconstructivist manner it outlines and dismantles a series of oppositions, restores forgotten ways of sensemaking. As an example of the open work conception Radichkov’s “Carambuka” makes a reader as an open structure that brings text to life.
