The subject of this comment is the judgment of the District Court in Jędrzejów of October 3, 2019 (I C 820/18). In this case, the court assumed that the Act of 24 November 2017 on package travel and linked travel arrangements, applies to the assessment of the effects of the client’s withdrawal from the package travel agreement, which was concluded on September 27, 2017, i.e. during provisions of the Act of 29 August 1997 on tourist services, and before the entry into force of the Act on package travel and linked travel arrangements,. The comment criticized this position, indicating that there were no grounds to apply the said Act in this case. In particular, the financial legal consequences of the client’s withdrawal from the contract cannot be considered in the context of art. 47 section 2 of this Act.

The aim of paper is to discover traces of the deceased and recreate bonds between a human and an object (objects). In the narrative two autobiographies were analysed: Lydia Flem’s ‘How I emptied my parents’ house’ (‘Comment j’ai vidé la maison de mes parents’) and Marcin Wicha’s ‘Items I didn’t throw away’ (‘Rzeczy, których nie wyrzuciłem’). Both authors mourn their mothers. According to the specific Jewish ‘idiom’ they run a post-memorial thread related to their mothers’ origins and historical implications (post-memory is understood, after Marianne Hirsch, as a specific kind of transfer of some traumatic experience).

This essay presents an interpretation of Stanisław Barańczak’s Bist du bei mir – a poem that has often been the subject of literary studies. The author refers to the poem’s motto – a fragment of an aria by Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel from Clavierbüchlein für Anna Magdalena Bach, often falsely attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach. She also points at the context of mystical poetry: Adam Mickiewicz’s epigrams from Zdania i uwagi z dzieł Jakuba Bema, Anioła Ślązaka (Angelus Silesius) i Sę-Martena [Sentences and remarks. From the works of Jacob Böhme, Angelus Silesius, and St. Martin] and G. Herbert’s poems translated by Barańczak. In the author’s reading, the poet, in an ironic gesture of reference, strips the reader of literary delusions, discovering deeply tragic dimensions of life and, possibly, also of personal experience of suffering.

This article presents how work of representatives of brulion’s generation was presented and discussed in Tygodnik Literacki. The aim of research was to indicate and present strategies chosen by editors of Tygodnik Literacki towards brulion’s writers. Strong relationships between communities of both journals have been indicated and proven. Individual texts of representatives of brulion or statements referring to their creation (especially evaluating it), published in Tygodnik Literacki, were analyzed and grouped. Analogies between presenting poetry of Świetlicki, Koehler, Sendecki or Baran and famous „Premiere of five poets” from Życie Literackie (1955) were characterized. Elements connecting both journals have been listed – they additionally prove significant influence of discourse about brulion on the overall characteristics of Tygodnik Literacki.

Badiuk Mykhailo, Pasko Irina. Review of the biobibliographic index “Rein George Iermolaevych. Doctor and reformer“ Writers: N.I. Mamedova, l.E. Kornilova, I.M. Soroka, O.Ya. Antonyuk; scientific editor: T.A. Ostapenko, National scientific medical library of Ukraine. Kyiv, 2020. 160 p. The next issue of the biobibliographic index “Rein George Iermolaevych. Doctor and Reformer” of the series “Society of Kyiv doctors in persons” from the National Scientific Medical Library of Ukraine is a logical addition to the chronicle of domestic medicine in documents and bibliography. It is dedicated to Academician George Iermolaevych Rein (1854–1942), a prominent professional in the most humane field of medicine – obstetrics and gynecology. Namely G.E. Rein in 1888 created, developed and managed for 12 years the first university obstetrics and gynecology clinic in Ukraine, which met the best Western European standards of the time. In 1903–1904 he organized the developing, writing and printing (1906) of the first large-scale work on the analysis of obstetric and gynecological care in the Russian Empire, “Obstetrics in Russia”, which was based on a collection of reports at the IX Pirogov Congress. Later, in Paris, he wrote and published memoirs “From the Past”, which became an invaluable source of systematic scientific information about the content and implementation of the first health care reform in the Russian Empire; this reform was initiated and improved under his direction in 1910–1917. G.E. Rein was and remains a recognized founder of the scientific school of obstetrics and gynecology, which covered several generations of scientists and practitioners, including a number of prominent personalities of domestic and foreign medicine. Among them are professors: O.A. Redlich, G.F. Pisemsky, K.K. Skrobansky, S.G. Zaretsky, I.V. Sudakov. The materials and bibliographic rarities from private collections published in this issue are an important contribution to the allinclusive nationwide research and educational work on the recollection of undeservedly forgotten names in the history of Ukrainian medicine. They will also promote the prestige of Ukrainian medical science in the international medical community.

Moysey Antoniy. Review of Proceedings Papers: “Borders and Contacts. Local, Regional and Global Phenomena”, Coord. Carmen Dărăbuș and Camelia Zăbavă, Craiova: Aius Printed, 2020, 364 p. The factor highlighted in this volume is not the economic one, but the mental one. Globalization, a key word of the 1990s, redefines the concepts of “regional” and “local” in relation to ethnicity and primordialism, the evolution of these terms until the beginning of the 21st century. The three chapters – Literature, Language, Cultural Studies and History of Mentalities – discuss, from heterogeneous perspectives, the interferences at various levels.

Kulbabska Olena. Review of monograph: Zorina J. V. Nominative of theme and nominative of concept in the context of segmented constructions of poetic and journalistic texts. Monograph, Vinnitsa, 2021, 212 р. The monograph is devoted to the study of expressive syntax elements. Much attention is given to segmented constructions with nominative of theme and nominative of concept in poetic and journalese texts. These texts are most influenced by colloquial speech and therefore are the focus of syntactic innovation. At the same time, expressive syntactic constructions do not have a single interpretation in linguistics; individual definitions are characterized by synonymous usage. Therefore, it is important to describe the whole complex of syntactic structures that determine the character of written poetic and journalese speech.

Olteanu Antoaneta. Antonina V. Anistratenko's monograph “Alternative history as a meta-genre of Ukrainian and foreign prose: comparative genealogy and poetics”. ‒ Monograph. ‒ Chernivtsi: BSMU, 2020. ‒ 526 pp. review. The monograph by A. V. Anistratenko is a study dedicated to the issues of alternative history in Ukrainian and world literature. The author convincingly substantiated the relevance of the research topic, its purpose and objectives, the scientific novelty of the results obtained, as well as the methodological approaches used in the research. The structure and composition for the implementation of this goal are selected optimally. In practical sections, Ukrainian contemporary prose is considered in comparison with English, German, Polish, Czech, Russian works of artistic alternative history from the standpoint of the development of the genre and proof of the functioning of AI at the present stage as a meta-genre. Since the monograph by A. V. Anistratenko “Combinatorics for the historian (Alternative history as a meta genre of Ukrainian and foreign prose: comparative genealogy and poetics)” is an independent study containing the novelty of conclusions and practical value, I believe that it should be recommended for publication, popularization among students-philologists and scientists in the field of comparative studies, as well as the work is a new, original and important research, contains scientific results and analysis worthy of a doctoral dissertation, enriching literary science both in Ukraine and abroad.
