Understanding that language teaching is not a task pertaining to a teacher of language and literature, but to the whole school system, and intersubjective thinking began to produce their effects especially from the fall of the Berlin Wall and thereon, in almost all South-East Europe countries in transition. Kosovo was one of the countries affected by a transitional atmosphere in which introduction of different methods and techniques in the classroom were not only being seen as a need, but as a must. In 2013, the Nigerian government declared Boko Haram a terrorist organization, prompting some other states to do the same. The United Nations (UN) has also declared Boko Haram a terrorist organization and regards it as the third deadliest terrorist group in the world thereby convincing others in the international community to treat the sect as a dangerous terrorist group. The prolonged presence of Boko Haram and its brazen and ruthless attacks on innocent citizens has given rise to suggestions to negotiate with, and grant amnesty to Boko Haram as a means to end the human and material casualties arising from the activities of Boko Haram in Nigeria. The paper aims to screen the international implications of granting amnesty to Boko Haram by the Nigerian state. For these reasons, aspects of the current global war on terror are highlighted, especially the in¬ternational regimes enacted by the UN to combat international terrorism and their implications for amnesty to Boko Haram in Nigeria.

The importance of studying intercultural competence (ICC) is increasing due to the large-scale impact of globalization on human society. It is important for academic and professional circles to know, however, that only the highest levels of ICC can lead to genuine intercultural dialogue and competitiveness. Intercultural competence starts with rising awareness for cultural differences, but evolves into an ever more complete perception of people as unique beings with own cultural repertoire that color their perception and behavior in any situation. Therefore, assessing the achieved level of ICC is essential. This article reviews different perspectives and analyzes an assessment model that is appropriate not only for assessment but also for the development of training modules and programs required to form high levels of ICC.

This paper deals with an integrated approach in the modern education system. First, we examine the theoretical starting points and the conceptual definition of integrative teaching. Through the results of theoretical and empirical research, we have looked into the advantages and pedagogical implications of the application of integrative teaching. The aim of the study was to investigate if and how primary teachers perceive the possibilities and outcomes of using integrated approach in class teaching. The sample of N=159 primary teachers was surveyed with the use of a questionnaire. The results show that primary teachers have positive attitudes about the effects of using an integrated approach in regard to the quality of teaching and learning outcomes. The participants who work 13 and more years, feel more confident about the concept of an integrated approach comparing to those who work less than 13 years. However, we have not found a statistically significant difference in individual items in regard to the degree of education and years of work experience. The findings suggest that more attention should be given to the initial teacher preparation programs and that teacher educators should find ways to incorporate integrated activities in both theoretical courses and practice

The article outlines methodological guidelines for the development of thinking in education. Relevant and productive is the thinking that aims not only to explain the unknown, but also to find the unknown and the unbelievable in the known and the obvious. This is a thinking of a different order, which is first in overcoming the existing boundaries, in “combining of not combined”, i.e. different, not reduced, etc. Its vitality is possible only if it constantly changes, destroys, balancing on the brink of chaos. It is emphasized that this thinking is not carried out in a well-defined way, it moves in agendas and changes in different directions, overcoming the boundaries of outlined representations, opening new horizons of understanding of being and place in it. It is argued that the development of thinking in education aims to move from learning focused mainly on memorizing a certain amount of knowledge to self-conscious understanding of them.

This paper includes tracing and analysing the dynamics of integrated design based pedagogical and art skills of children placed in an informal educational environment. In the conceptual frame of the research are included theoretical and empiric pedagogical models that provoke childrens’ thinking and develop their creativity, knowledge and skills for creative experiments. Art techniques that are attractive to children are preferred (paper application, drawing with wax and water colour, tampon painting, template printing). Interactive processes are being tracked in the report, and some integrated connections with different scientific subjects – pedagogy, art, history, archaeology, semiotics, combinatorics of the shape-forming etc., are made, brought out on a theoretical and analytical level. The interdisciplinary and analytical approach when researching the processes connected with childrens’ free creative choice when communicating with historical artefacts takes an important part of the project. Children are given the opportunity to form visual culture and the capability to perceive and understand the sculptural achievements of the ancient Balkan civilizations and cultures in a fun and interactive way. In order to fulfil and scientifically develop the project we chose artefacts from the rich historical heritage of the region of Stara Zagora – collection of prehistory and early mid-centuries of the Historical museum. For children acquiring a different type of visual-plastic skills and techniques helps achieve an integrated innovative design thinking, which is very fundamental for achieving main pedagogical purposes and methods aimed entirely at the contemporary needs of the social environment. For the analysis of the received data we used standard methods for pedagogical researches which include: empirical – pedagogical experiment, praximetric – observation, analysis of childrens’ creativity, content analysis, quantity and quality analysis of the received empiric data, expert evaluation. The conclusions made could help the development of the future pedagogical practice in a museum environment not only in the fine arts educational area but also in all educational fields.
