Socializem Henrika Tume
At the beginning of his political activity, Henrik Turna opted for the liberal bourgeois policy. Seeking to establish contacts with more radical politicians, he associated for a time with the nationally radical students gathered around the newspaper „Omladina" (Youth). After he had abandoned the idea of founding his own party, he joined, in 1908, the socialist movement. His conception of internationalism, owing to the proximity of the ethnic border a very delicate issue, was not a denial of the national idea. For him internationalism was acknowledging each individual nation full rights. At the beginning of the war, he regarded the decision of the German social democracy as right, but later he started to reject it. He adopted more and more radical standpoints. At theend of the First World War he expected that the proletariat would proclaim a free republic of Trieste.'After the split in Livorno he abandoned political activity.
