The Euro-integration vector of Ukraine economic development and business in the open economy zone expands the economic and social potential of domestic enterprises and requires the formation of a reliable information environment to ensure the corporate interests of their investors (in the first) and other users of information (in particular). Today, corporate fraud is the most widespread form of economic crime in Ukraine and the world, which affects about 48% of domestic enterprises. The study attracted substantiated attention to the negative tendency towards the growth of economic crime in Ukraine, which in the end focuses on the fact that domestic business should apply a set of measures to withdraw part of the business from the “shadow economy”. As a result, such measures will help increase the attractiveness of Ukraine’s business investment. The study systematized and analyzed the progressive experience of developed countries, in the first place, the United States, in the fight against economic fraud. The study provides all grounds for asserting that it is quite feasible to achieve the tangible reduction of economic (financial) fraud with preventive measures (which is rather quick and effective). It is proved that the lack of aspirations of the enterprise management to overcome fraud leads to the formation of new money laundering schemes, and not control mechanisms – prevention of opportunities for committing fraud.

The collection of information has evolved continuously throughout history, undergoing a series of transformations closely related to the development of the information sources. Over the last decades, these evolutions have been observed not only at the level of the intelligence community, but also at the level of the business environment, with the development and implementation of the competitive intelligence functions within the companies, on a larger scale. It is a known fact that many competitive intelligence professionals claim that they use HUMINT in their daily activity, often without clearly explaining what they are referring to. With regard to this topic, we believe that more transparency is needed, due to the fact that HUMINT is being also used by the government intelligence agencies to designate the secret human sources. This paper briefly analyses how business information should be collected by the competitive intelligence professionals, the types of sources with which they operate, as well as the way in which HUMINT must be approached in competitive intelligence, in order to align with the applicable Romanian legislation and the SCIP Code of Ethics.

Economic literacy, which is explained as being able to interpret economic events and developments, and having a basic level of economic knowledge, becomes more and more important every day. In the globalizing world, it is seen that the economic decision-making processes of individuals who have consumer, producer and investor roles have diversified and become more complex. In this diverse and complex decision-making process, individuals' economic knowledge levels affect the decisions to be made. In this direction, the decisions taken by individuals become more important for both their own wealth and the economies of the country. Survey of individuals living in Turkey for over 385 people in the framework of the aforementioned considerations in this study to determine the level of economic literacy is made. When the answers given by the participants are evaluated, it is seen that the level of economic literacy is sufficient. When the effect of demographic factors on economic literacy is examined in the study, there is no statistically significant difference according to gender, age, marital status and income level, it is seen that the differentiation is significant according to education level and occupation groups. Within the framework of the findings obtained as a result of the study, it is considered that making economics education more widespread and providing access to information with the cooperation of universities and economic institutions will be beneficial in increasing the level of economic literacy.

This article attempts to capture the link between geopolitics and renewable energy by reviewing the literature. This topic has been carefully covered since 2010, although the 1970s marked the beginning of writing about the geopolitics of renewable energy. From the literature there can be extracted the following conclusions: the use of renewable energy has both possible advantages and disadvantages: on one hand, it leads to the abandonment of fossil fuels, so that the environment is protected and divergences between states are reduced; on the other hand, the need to use certain materials to achieve technologies that allow the transition to renewable energy gives rise to various scenarios. Moreover, among the countries of the world, winners and losers can be identified in relation to renewable energy, but there are ways to change the situation in the future for some countries. There are 6 forces that favor the transition to the circular economy, with a different impact for each country, but that can influence relations between states in the future when fossil fuels will no longer be preferred in the energy production process.

The main contribution of the study indicates that accountants may decide the opposite to the norm’s intention when the norm is less precise.Limitations: The study was conducted in one country and among masters’ degree account-ing students. The number of males was relatively small.Practical implications: The results should be of interest to behavioral researchers, academic teachers, and Polish standards setters as they continue to develop national accounting standards.Contribution: We provide evidence that the interaction of norm recall, the type of asset, as well as the gender of the decision-maker impacts non-compliant decisions.
