The HRM and effective HR practices play an important role for promoting a committed environment and a culture of citizenship. This study is intended to explore the HRM systems’ dynamics and applied HR practices in Lebanese banks and to find their possible link with employee commitment and citizenship behavior. The primary research selected six most representative Lebanese banks. A questionnaire on employee commitment and citizenship behavior was sent to each bank’s HR officers. The questions were derived from the OCQ, ACS, CCS, NCS, and CBS. Direct positive relationship between HR and organizational commitment was not completely verified in terms of the Lebanese bank institutions. The HR-OCB relationship is much more coherent and noticeable especially when the HR role of employee champion emerges. Commitment has a strong relationship with the OCB. Lebanese banks have very promising examples of serious dynamic HRM initiatives that promote employees’ support and recognize their efforts while trying to capitalize on their competences, commitment, and displayed citizenship behaviors.

Research Question: This paper assesses the effect of environmental concern, self-efficacy, subjective knowledge and guilt on sustainable consumption behaviour. Motivation: This study focuses on predicting and explaining sustainable consumption behaviour by proposing a model comprised of environmental concern, self-efficacy, consumer guilt and subjective knowledge as predictors. Environmental concern is an important element in VBN theory proposed by Stern (1999). Meanwhile, self-efficacy is part of SCT theory by Bandura (1997); as for subjective knowledge, it is deemed to be a better predictor of environmental behaviour (Kollmuss & Agyeman, 2002). Guilt is included in this model as it is an important emotion that can affect sustainable consumption behaviour, especially in the context of collectivist culture country like Indonesia (Lee et al., 2012). All these factors have been proven to be able to influence sustainable consumer behaviour. However, there are still a few studies that explore these factors altogether simultaneously, especially in the context of a developing country. Thus, this study tries to examine sustainable consumption behaviour by incorporating these factors altogether. Idea: The main idea of this study is to empirically assess the influence of proposed independent variables, namely environmental concern, self-efficacy, subjective knowledge and guilt on sustainable consumption behaviour. This study also tries to assess whether there is a significant difference of sustainable consumption behaviour among demographic groups such as gender, education and age. Data: The model is tested by conducting a survey using a self-administered questionnaire on 200 respondents. The respondents are younger millennials aged between 17-27. The questionnaire consists of questions about demographic profile and about the research instruments. Tools: This study uses descriptive research design and purposive sampling to collect the data. Research hypotheses were tested by multiple regression analysis. Findings: The result of this study shows that environmental concern, self-efficacy and environmental knowledge have an influence on sustainable consumption behaviour, where environmental knowledge contributes the most in predicting the aforementioned behaviour. Meanwhile, this study also finds that consumer guilt has no impact upon this behaviour. Contributions: This study gives additional insight and understanding of sustainable consumption behaviour in the context of millennials in a developing country. The findings of this study can be used by the government to formulate environmental policies as well as for businesses to formulate strategies to promote their environmentally-friendly products.

The purpose of this paper is to point out the reasons why companies should apply the concept of shared values. The thesis is based on the claim that the concept of shared values represents an additional engagement in the field of business, but also that it significantly contributes to maximizing the added value of the company and its business performance. Shared Value focuses on creating meaningful economic and social value - a new benefit that goes beyond the costs required for business and society as a whole. Concept of shared values defines a new role for one company, which goes beyond the traditional models of corporate social responsibility. Shared value strategies are a supportive tool for companies to strengthen society's progress through innovation, their image, their connections with consumers, and their competitive advantage. On the other hand, the concept of shared values provides the opportunity to involve other actors in achieving a significant social effect. The article presents the concept of shared value as a result of discussing and developing a new idea of social responsibility in doing business. Qualitative analysis within two identified companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina is presented with an emphasis on theoretical limitations as well.

The influence of socialization and motivation in the process of forming attitudes mediates both social relations and social development. The first process frames our perceptions of the world from how we understand social processes and relationships, through the admission of new and different from our own understandings and knowledge, to our choice of strategies for dealing with different life situations.
