ТРАНЗИЦИЈА, ДЕМОКРАТИЗАЦИЈА И ”СУБЈЕКТИВНО БЛАГОСТАЊЕ”

Author(s): Mirjana Vasović / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 1-2/2003

In this article author considers the concept of personal welfare as a cultural norm on the societal level with its mediatory function between social development and political orientation of the individuals seen on the long run. This sociopsychological phenomenon presupposes the result of interplay between the objective economic conditions, on the one hand, and dominant goals, aspiration and values (on the individual as well as on the gropu’s plane), on the other hand. Thus anlyzed phenomenon is seen as a factor that underlies more general economic and political preferences. On the ground of the data acquired through public oppinion surveys in Serbia during the tranzition period, author also analyzes some trends of the personal perception of welfare noticable within the Serbian public oppinion. (This perception is operationalized by the aid of the criteria of personal poverty, class identification and of personal’s quality life satisfaction). Author points out the link between personal satisfaction and antisystem sentiment that contributes to political instability and could effect the short term as well as long term processes of economic and democratic reforms.

Author(s): Kamelia Dimitrova,Yva Alexandrova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Publication Year: 2015

The current report looks at three specific forms of trafficking in persons: child trafficking for begging, for pickpocketing and for sexual exploitation of boys and the way they manifest themselves among Roma communities. The report examines the profiles of victims and discusses the vulnerability factors that make the Roma minority a particular group at risk. The study provides empirical knowledge on the mechanisms of recruitment and exploitation of victims in order to inform identification efforts and counter-trafficking responses. Particular attention is devoted to the policy and measures for assistance of victims. In this field, the report identifies specific gaps in assistance and the way they affect Roma victims in particular, and suggests how child victim assistance could be improved. The active involvement of Roma organisations in the research through participatory methods aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the risk factors involved, bring knowledge back to the communities and support Roma experts’ involvement in counter-trafficking policy and mechanisms.

Трябва да се борим за правата на детето – педагогическите идеи на Корчак от перспективата на Омбудсмана по правата на детето

Author(s): Marek Michalak / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 9/2018

Responsibility today has become the main educational, social, cultural and political problem. Undoubtedly, the period of a special development of the child protection dates from XX century and continues until now. In the beginning, there were appeals and innovatory views on the education of children of the Swedish pedagogue and feminist Ellen Key, who proclaimed XX century as a “century of the child”. After that came the ideas, the creative work and mainly the practical activity of Janusz Korczak. When he was alive Korczak spoke on the topic of children`s protection: “side by side to the defender that knows paragraphs of the written laws, I insist to assign a place to the educator that knows the secrets of unwritten laws” – and by that as announcing the establishment of the institution ombudsman of human rights. Children`s rights are our common responsibility – of the government, the observing institutions, scientists, non-governmental activists, teachers, educators. We should fight for them, to insist, so we would not stand one day in front of the dilemma that Irena Sendlerowa posed, one of the greatest among us, who was rewarded in 2007 with the Medal of the Smile from children themselves: “And what the world did? The Great powers? The world was silent! And silence sometimes means to agree with what is happening”.

У ОДБРАНУ ПАРСОНСОВОГ СХВАТАЊА МОЋИ

Author(s): Slobodan Antonić / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 1/2006

In Parsons` opinion, power is generalized capacity to secure the performance of binding obligations by units in a system of collective organization when the obligations are legitimized with reference to their bearing on collective goals. Power is exercised within the context of norms. Norms are at the root not only of all exercise of power but of all social conduct. Power, rather than being a conflictual mechanism which is opposed to social order, is both enabled by and constrained within that social order because of its normative basis. The threat of coercive measures, or of compulsion, without legitimation or justification, according to Parsons, should not properly be called the use of power at all, but is the limiting case where power, losing its symbolic character, merges into an intrinsic instrumentality of securing compliance with wishes, rather than obligations. Parsons` conception of power also was not to be a “zero-sum” game in which one could only ever win at the expense of another. On the contrary, he sought to show how power contributed to the general accomplished of order and civility.

Conditional conviction with protective control, as another form of suspended sentence (which has the widest application of all types of criminal sanctions) is the modification of the Anglo-American probation of conviction. The suspended sentence with protective control has been accepted for a long time in most Western European countries, but also in our country. In order to be able to pronounce conditional sentence with protective control, all conditions for the application of "ordinary" conditional sentence must to be fulfill. However, the most important difference between these two forms of conditional sentence is the introduction of protective oversight of the convicted person. Precisely this form of suspended sentence in Bosnia and Herzegovina law will be discussed in this paper.

Domestic violence is a very serious and complex problem which every country faces, including the Republic of North Macedonia. The complexity of this problem results in enormous consequences for individuals, families, and the general development of societies. The most common causes of domestic violence can be identified in: lack of material resources of the family, unemployment, presence of addictive alcoholism, drugs and other psychotropic substances, gambling, infidelity, and in some situations the poor mental state of family members, etc. Domestic violence most often occurs within the family community, whether it is a marital or extramarital union, between marital and extramarital partners, children, the elderly in the family, or between family relationships resulting from damaged family relationships, resulting in one of the most widespread forms of violence. In order to prevent and fight domestic violence in North Macedonia, in the past years the country is undertaking specific multilevel activities at national and local level. The main activities are aimed at preventing violence, protecting victims from domestic violence and implementing adequate national and international legal framework. Author(s): Julia Doncheva / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 7/2018

European education legislation defines two main objectives of education policy: equal access to education and quality education. Equal access to education means ensuring that all children and students have access to commensurate quality education. It does not mean equal care for all children and students, but differentiation of care towards their different needs. Access to quality education, not education at all, is an essential tool in the process of promoting integration and inclusion of both minorities and marginalized groups, as well as groups of children and individuals with peculiarities and non-standard development in our society.

Ученето в природонаучното познание и страхът от провал

Author(s): Nikolay Tsankov,Veska Guyviiska / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2018

The main problem discussed in this article is related to the reasons as to how and why fear dominates students’ learning process in education institutions. A right approach toward the topic requires first an investigation of the cognitive aspects of fear, especially when we talk about nature and science knowledge and studies. The research reveals and analyses the main concept characteristics of fear, connected to different ways of thinking and understanding the learning process. Some fear barriers of the learning process have been outlined. The empirical defense of the ideas is based on the research ideas of Daniel Kahneman, an Israeli-American psychologist, and his work on the psychology of judgment and decision-making in conditions of inexplicitness. The empirical data used for the research includes inquiries into students and teachers’ opinion of fear of learning. It is based on the concept of cognitive niches in thinking, which become barriers to learning. In the field of natural science education this problem deserves special attention.
