Lidija Dimkovska’s work is a tireless search for the meaning of existence, but mostly for identity values in a time torn and exhausted by transitive processes. Both the poetry and the prose in her works speak of cruelty, human inconsistency, and of the poison of hypocrisy that still corrodes this space. All her characters, all the sentences and verses carry indelible and strong messages that warn that the disintegration of humanity is the suicide of the hedonism and selfdestruction, that obstruction and dehumanization are becoming part of the human’s everyday life, and hope is a small light at the bottom of the long tunnel of suffering. In her bibliography we find layered prose, complex verses and a huge engagement worthy of every respect.
