In 2015 in the series Studia i Materiały Poznańskiego IPN, a work by the editorial staff of Dr Rafał Sierchuła entitled Drezdeński szafotery was published. This book is the result of a Polish-German scientific conference organized in Poznań by the local branch of the Institute of National Remembrance on May 21, 2010, under the slogan 'Śladami zbrodni' - Dresden Scaffold. The editor and the authors of individual articles pointed to two main assumptions for the publication of the results of their scientific investigations. First, describe the German occupation system and the functioning of the judiciary, mainly in the Reichsgau Wartheland. Secondly, commemoration of the heroic soldiers and activists of anti-German underground organizations, including mainly the national underground, who were sentenced by the Germans to the death penalty, and the judgments were carried out by guillotine in the Dresden prison complex on the Munich square.

The issue of faith as a man's response to God's revelation is a constantly valid issue. The act of faith, based on trust, implies the intimate relationship of man with God. Through the gift of faith, which is possible for all, one enters a path leading to a fascinating reality, as the author writes in Hebrews 11: 1: "Faith, on the other hand, is a guarantee of those goods that we expect, evidence of those realities that we do not see."

The 20th century of Polish history abounded in extremely important events. The state-changing state re-emerging after 123 years of partitioning and then shaping the reality of the inter-war period, the events of the Second World War and the first years of communist reality constitute one of the most dynamic periods in the history of the Polish nation. An extremely important role in all these events was played by the Catholic Church, including its hierarchs. The observer and participant in the history of this time was also Fr. Józef Umiński, one of the best-known Polish researchers in the history of the Catholic Church until the 1950s. Before his death, which took place on May 1, 1954, he managed on July 11, 1951 to finish work on the text of the Polish Episcopate of the first half of the twentieth century. He ceded the right to publish it to the Scientific Society in Toruń, with the proviso that it could take place not earlier than 50 years after the end of writing the text, that is in 1991. Since then, another 25 years have passed and the text was not prepared until 2016 case of the academic staff of the History Department of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń: dr hab. Sylwia Grochowiny and prof. Dr. hab. Jan Sziling. At the same time, it should be noted that the work of Fr. Umiński appeared as a source text and sensu stricte should be classified as a source of a memoristic nature. The author of the source text himself pointed to the fact that this is not a scientific work, but should be treated as personal remarks about the members of the Polish Episcopate: "[...] I present the contents here only from memory, without any data at hand at the moment. written or printed, and according to my mind, on the basis of knowledge acquired in various ways (sometimes even ordinary rumors, because it also has its meaning) over the years several or several dozens outlined [...] "(p. 1).

The figure of Cardinal Adam Stefan Sapieha, not without reason called the "Constant Prince", occupies one of the leading positions in the history of the Polish Church in the twentieth century. Although many works have already appeared on it, the story of this person is an inexhaustible subject to which - researchers are referring to readily. Therefore, when the hundredth anniversary of his episcopal consecration was approaching, the Department of History and Cultural Heritage of the Pontifical University of John Paul II proposed a device for a scientific session, to which the Jagiellonian University and the Polish Academy of Learning were very enthusiastic. The reviewed position is the result of a session that proves how much more secrets are hidden from historians by the person of the Archbishop and Cardinal of Cracow, of whom Pope John Paul II spoke with great esteem.

Two years ago on the Polish book market appeared a posthumously published book by Roland Dworkin entitled Religion without God (original edition Religion Without God published in 2013). This small volume of publication, which numbers slightly more than one hundred and forty pages, deals with the subject of religion as such, without reference to personal or any God or deities, which may be a bond joining theists and atheists. The book does not have a distinguished introduction, it is included in the first chapter, in addition there is a note from the American publisher and an index of names. The main part of the publication consists of four chapters, three of them are expanded with additional points, the last one constitutes one whole and a sort of summary of the publication. The author used in his publication a method that could be defined as a critical analysis of the concept of scientists of the 20th century selected by him and a synthetic presentation of its results

Okres drugiej wojny światowej był dla rozwijającego się w Polsce Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego – zgromadzenia założonego przez ks. Jana Bosko, rodem z Italii – czasem próby i ogromnych strat materialnych i personalnych.
