The article is a report from a conference organised in Warsaw on 8–9 October 2015 by the Slavic Academic Information Centre (Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences), the Slavic Foundation and the Linguistic Bibliography Committee of the International Committee of Slavists. It was the second conference over the span of the last three years devoted to the newest trends in and future development of Slavic studies information systems.

W dniach 11–13 września 2012 roku w Kalwarii Zebrzydowskiej odbyło się 48. Sympozjum Wykładowców Liturgiki na Wydziałach Teologicznych i Wyższych Seminariach Duchownych. W tym roku organizatorem był Instytut Liturgiczny Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II w Krakowie. Tematem sympozjum były Reforma i odnowa liturgii po Soborze Watykańskim II. Oprócz ponad 70 liturgistów w sympozjum wzięli udział: abp Damian Zimoń, bp Stefan Cichy oraz przewodniczący Komisji ds. Liturgii i Dyscypliny Sakramentów Episkopatu Polski bp Adam Bałabuch.

One day conference on the issue of election of judges of constitutional courts was held in Sarajevo on the 2nd November 2012 organized by the Foundation Public Law Center (CJP). Consultation was organized as a regional scientific conference with 57 participants. Among the participants there were lawyers from the state institutions, the constitutional and supreme courts, and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and university professors, lawyers, representatives of embassies, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and foundations. Concerning representatives from the region, the conference was attended by experts from Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Conference was held on the basis of 14 research papers which discussed the issue of election of judges of the constitutional courts in the regional context with focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ratings of the television programs as well as commercial effects become crucial measures of the media success and journalists’ efficiency neglecting minimal ethical standards. The profit maximisation logic and mere survival in times of the economic crisis also has the impact on preserving the sensitive ethical standards. In this respect, the television, as the most influential medium, especially public television, has the biggest responsibility. Violation of the ethical norms on public television means that it does not fulfil its key role – the role of public service. In important cases of the violation of ethical rules, the lack of clear responses of the regulators is the other side of the problem. The case study in this text shows us how easy it is to turn to the contempt of the professional journalistic standards and, consequently, ethical norms. This leads us to think how difficult is today to remain professional and ethical in times of the tangible commercialism and sensationalism.

New data on trends in radiophonics are rare and often radio as a medium is ignored entirely within academic studies. When it does appear in research, however, the achieved results depict an entirely different story: radio not only remains popular, but it also enjoys a high level of public trust. These conclusions primarily derive from a September 2009 study compiled on trust in the media. This study concludes that, in terms of trust, radio is positioned in front of the television and print media, and next to the internet. This article presents two themes. The first comments on the nature of the radio audience; the second deals with the issue of trust in radio content. The conclusion attempts to settle the question of if radio will again become active as a media source with a high degree of social responsibility, or rather remain a medium that fails to utilize its high level of the public trust?
