Author(s): Rustem Zhangozha / Language(s): Russian Issue: 3/2020

The article is devoted to the relationship of the processes of comparative studies in artistic culture with the processes of social practice in the context of globalization and multiculturalism. The problem of multiculturalism was considered in the context of postmodernism, which went beyond the limits of the artistic method and was extrapolated to social practice. Under the influence of these processes, the value system is radically transformed. Analyzing the problem of multiculturalism from the point of view of comparative studies, the author comes to the preliminary conclusion that the intensification of protest social movements “Islamic State”, “Taliban” and others in the Middle East and “right movements”, nationalism and isolationism in Europe represent a spontaneous response to the process of globalization and an attempt to preserve ethno-cultural identity. These same reasons can explain the decline in the influence and attractiveness of liberal-democratic models of social development. In the medium term, we can expect spontaneous turbulent processes in the social and political life of not only developing countries, but also countries with stable socio-political traditions.

EKSPRESIVNA SREDSTVA U PRIPOVIJETKAMA HAMZE HUME

Author(s): Amela Bajrić / Language(s): Bosnian Issue: 5/2022

A writer whose golden age of creative work was between the two wars, Hamza Humo, with his speciic style, bursting with emotionalexpressive means, ofers thrive opportunities for linguostylistic, lexicalsemantic and other analyzes. his paper deals with emotional-expressive means on a corpus of four narratives: Sevdalijina ljubav from 1925, Ašikovanje and Priča o Jasiki from 1927. and Krnata from 1932, in which Humo has woven orientalisms, words with exceptional stylistic potential, and which we have divided into orientalisms in the function of localizing the action, orientalisms in the function of describing the action and events, orientalisms in the function of characterizing and describing characters, and orientalism in the function of expressing emotions. The inluence of expressionism in Humo’s artistic work is seen in selected narratives, which as a characteristic have speciic word formations and sentence constructions. hrough metonymies, personiications, comparisons and other means of expression, along with expressive vocabulary, Humo ampliies the emotionality and semantics of his expression. He marked the mental states and moods of his characters with numerous exclamations as a category of expressiveness. he paper, therefore, provides insight into the analysis from the aspect of language, which is relected in the presentation of linguistic and expressive resources, characteristic vocabulary and expressive resources with which Humo „painted“ his characters, described amorousness, longing and urge, if we take into account the fact that selected stories are love themed.

Паралелните светове на българското училище. Сравнителен анализ на два случая

Паралелните светове на българското училище. Сравнителен анализ на два случая

Author(s): Svetla Marinova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2020

On the basis of the data from a field study carried out within the project “Educational inequalities and social chances. Strategic goals of the reform of Bulgarian high school education and practical results”, funded by the National Science Fund at the Ministry of Education and Science, I describe two cases as representative for the structural relations between different types of the contemporary Bulgarian school: the club school and the school of the ghetto. I am interested in the specific practical mechanisms of accumulation of educational riches in some schools and turning other schools into places of ‘educational poverty’ which leads to worlds of school education that are not merely autonomous but have a parallel existence, never meeting or intersecting, and predetermining different life chances and trajectories. The second focus of analysis are the models of education that this structural relation produces and are implemented in practice, with more or less reflection, in these schools. In conclusion, I propose options for the transformation of the analyzed structural relations as well as a critical reflection of one of the basic notions by which the measures of overcoming educational inequalities are conceptualized: ‘educational poverty’.

Делегирани бюджети и образователни неравенства

Делегирани бюджети и образователни неравенства

Author(s): Svetlomir Zdravkov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2020

For several consecutive PISA studies, Bulgarian high school students are last in the EU in terms of reading, math and science tests. The main problem for the Bulgarian educational system is that it is one of the most polarized ones. These results are a strong indicator that the school network in the country is socially stratified. The analysis is trying to reveal what is the role of delegated budgets (the main mechanism for financial redistribution in the educational system) in the process of stratification and increasing inequalities. For the purposes of the analysis are used several kind of empirical data. Data from questionnaire survey with students, qualitative data from interviews with school principals and teachers, as well the quantitative data from matriculation exams. The findings of the analysis show that the marketization process, which began with delegated budgets in Bulgaria in the mid-2000s, is linked with increasing inequalities and stratification between schools. It is argued that there are at least two parallel economic logics emerged in different strata of the education system, which is result from the functioning of the schools in heterogeneous social contexts. The two economic rationalities have great consequences. At the top strata are the schools with high educational attainment and prestige, competition leads to better education and various new learning opportunities. In the lowest educational strata in the system are the schools with low prestige and low attainment. There, the competition operates on a completely different principle, unlike the "elite" schools. The economic-educational rationality is towards reduction of the formal educational requirement towards the schoolchildren, making it easy for them, "pushing" the students up to 12th grade for financial reasons.

Man's susceptibility to believe in unverified information, astonishment and its result and the greatest friend fear, in the reticle create a reputation for knowledge due to the knowledge of everything that comes our way. Without critical reflection, without sufficient information, sometimes due to insufficient education, of course, not formal, but informal, which gives us self-confidence in the goals of understanding and ultimately we like to say; it is so; I believe; I know that (…).

Education of national minorities in primary schools in the Republic of Serbia

Author(s): Marko S. Jovanović,Milica S. Joković Pantelić / Language(s): English,Serbian Issue: 4/2022

The position taken in this paper is that the development of a society depends on the status, role and importance of the educational system, and that education has a significant impact on personality formation. The aim of this paper is to establish the condition of primary school education for members of national minorities and, based on this, to enable getting a better insight into steps to be taken in order to remove regulatory and practical shortcomings. Three models of primary school education in the languages of national minorities have been analysed: entire education in one of eight languages of national minorities, with Serbian as a non-mother tongue as a compulsory subject; entire education in the Serbian language with an option to take an elective subject/programme with elements of national culture (in the mother tongue); and bilingual education in Serbian and in the language of a national minority. Furthermore, empirical argumentation is presented for the period covering the academic years 2013/14 through to 2020/21. In the conclusion of this paper, it is noted that capacities of the educational system should be strengthened by introducing professional training for teachers of the languages of national minorities, which would ensure the availability of competent teaching staff. Additionally, appropriate curricula, textbooks and other teaching aids required for the learning of minority languages should be improved, in accordance with the latest teaching methods.

Conceptualising Innovation and Creativity in Knowledge Based Society

Conceptualising Innovation and Creativity in Knowledge Based Society

Author(s): Jelena Gaković / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2022

This paper raises a discussion on innovation, nature of knowledge and the growing significance of skills in contemporary society. We propose the argument that knowledge is commonly perceived in terms of skills only, as a result of an applicability logic rule in knowledge based social orders. Moreover, innovation is recognized as yet another central issue of our times that is strongly interrelated to technological developments and the realm of science. Creativity as a specific human feature, on the other hand, is widely accepted as a critical precondition for generating innovative products and ideas. The essential problem lies in the oversight of the role humanities and arts play in nurturing humanistic values, whereas means are commonly mistaken for an end.

Social Legitimacy of Mass Privatization: The Case of Bulgaria

Author(s): Antoaneta Getova / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2022

Mass privatization is an important part of the Bulgarian post-socialist transformations. Because of citizens’ direct involvement in it, its social legitimacy is crucial for the social acceptance of the privatization in general. The paper analyzes the problem of the social legitimacy of mass privatization in a long-term period and the main research question is: did privatization succeed in acquiring social legitimacy or did the attitude towards it remain mostly negative. To contextualize the topic, a brief overview of the results of mass privatization in the Czech Republic and Russia is also included in the analysis. The main research hypothesis is that privatization could not legitimize itself as the right path taken in Bulgarian society. The main reason behind this is the non-success of the main wave of the Bulgarian mass privatization. To prove the main hypothesis, data of national representative survey is analyzed in the paper.

СПЕЦИФІКА ІНТЕРПРЕТАЦІЙ КОМПОЗИЦІЙ У НАТЮРМОРТІ

Author(s): Julii Skakandiy / Language(s): Ukrainian Issue: 1/2023

The purpose of the study isto reveal the peculiarities of interpretations of compositions in still life using the example of five productions and to illustrate them with exemplary works. The research methodology is based on the application of methods of analysis, observation, description, which allow us to investigate the peculiarities of interpretations of the given compositions. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the author has expanded and supplemented the features of work on such an important area of watercolor painting as still life. The implementation of the set tasks is clearly demonstrated on the examples of specific productions. Conclusions. An important achievement of the research is that, like a portrait and a landscape, a still life has its own special means of influencing the mood and thoughts of the audience. Of course, a person, his/her complex spiritual world, the most diverse images of nature open up wider opportunities for the painter to interest and affect the viewer than images of "dead things". Thus, still life enables verifying that in painting not only the object of the image, but also the way it is depicted determines the content of the work. By combining various methods of work and looking for the new ones, the artist can achieve in his/her works such strength and expressiveness, juiciness and brightness of colour, the most subtle transitions of tone, depth, and various textures, which will raise his/her creativity to a qualitatively higher level. The creative principle in the work always prevails and is combined with the experiment, as well as with the emotionality of the artist, his/her ability to generalise and select, to think plastically, with visual memory. A mature artist relies on these qualities already purely mechanically, but knowledge of the basic laws of painting, drawing, and composition are always present in his/her mind, thereby forming his/her system of methods. Therefore, the main task of a young artist is to master the techniques of the craft, to master the basic laws, that is, to lay a solid foundation for the development of one's own thoughts, creative ideas, the power of expression of which will be determined, without a doubt, by the artist's talent.

Author(s): Larysa Gorelik / Language(s): Ukrainian Issue: 1/2023

The purpose of the article is to highlight the specifics of chamber singing as a special expressive technique in canvases, generally designed for presentation on a large scene, which allows, on the one hand, to clarify the idea of K. Orff's stylistics, and on the other hand, to make a contribution to the theory of chamber art in the aspect of modeling its features in the conditions of a large-scale scenic embodiment. The methodological basis of the research is the intonation approach to the nature of music in the traditions of the works of the followers of B. Asaf'ev's concept in Ukraine in the works of O. Markova, O. Muravska, L. Shevchenko with a principle emphasis on stylistic-comparative, hermeneutic, historical-descriptive, and cultural- disciplinary for secretion of epoch stylistic status of works, essential in modernity significance of their expressive aspects, their explanation by the author, historic world-outlook interaction of music expedients with expedients of other types of arts. The scientific novelty of the study is formed by the originality of the vision of the data expressiveness in the title of K. Orff's works, as well as the discovery of the theoretical formulation of such a feature of chamber vocals as «hiding» the dynamic excess of expressing the capabilities of the operatic voice by placing the melody in extreme registers with appropriate textural indicators. Conclusions. Chamber vocal constitutes a typological expressiveness of singing, which is organically adjusted by the conditions of salon or salon-style voicing of works, but also has a symbolic expressive cut, which, as a special method of sound expression, is detected in works designed for dynamic large-scale presentation, but with artistically grounded techniques of chamber singing in zones of so-called "quiet" climaxes and starting points of "crescendoing" dramaturgy, as we find in two famous scenic cantatas and the extremely popular opera by K. Orff.
