Художествени проекции на социалнопедагогическото познание: случаят Рубен Гайего

Author(s): Veska Gyuviyska,Nikolay Tsankov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 7/2019

The study is a socio-pedagogical reading of Ruben Gallego’s novel ‘White on Black’, an autobiographical narrative about homes for disabled children in Soviet Russia in the 1980s. Gallego is a Spanish boy, born with cerebral paralysis whose childhood is spent in institutions for disabled children in Russia. Regardless of his disability, Gallego manages to preserve his will for life and creative potential. The novel White on Black is a Booker Prize laureate in 2003 and is a discovery in Russian literature. The conceptual argumentation of the novel is in the context of postmodernism and authors such as Pierre Nora, Maurice Halbwachs, Michel Foucault. It mainly analyses the social institutions as spaces of authority. Basic ideas and concepts include P. Nora’s ‘realms of memory’, Maurice Halbwachs 'collective memory' and M. Foucault’s 'heterotopia', which allows the highlighting of new dimensions in postmodern institutions and their relation to the uses of authority. The article also offers an empirical study with students from ‘Special Pedagogy’ majors at the pedagogical departments of some Bulgarian universities. The aim is to discover the personal expression and professional reflection of students in the artistic projections of the socio-pedagogical knowledge.

Цел и роля на образованието след 16-годишна възраст

Author(s): Phil Budgell / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2019

In this article, the author compares school education for pupils aged 16 years and over in Bulgaria and England. At the beginning of the article, he looks at the general matrix of the curriculum and the degree of freedom of choice for students. In Bulgaria, the educational model follows the way of training students aged 14 – 16, with limited choice within the profile. In England, on the other hand, there is a significant difference: after 16 years of age, students have the complete freedom to choose which subjects to study.Further, the author focuses on teaching Bulgarian in Bulgaria and English in England to illustrate the different approaches. For this purpose, he uses the Bulgarian language requirements published by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and the English language requirements of the Ministry of Education in England. Finally, the author examines the examination process and compares the types of questions that are included in the Bulgarian matriculation in Bulgaria and the types of questions included in the GCS A Level Exams in England.

Author(s): Petia Bankova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 3/2016

The article presents and discusses a widely spread in the past and practiced inpresent day rite associated with the birth of the child. On one hand it draws its datafrom ethnographic sources (archival, literary and personally collected field material),presenting the custom in its traditional version, and on the other – on research conductedthrough the method of participant observation and semi-structured interviewsduring contemporary manifestations of this custom. Analyzing specific ritual elementsand focusing on gifts/presents received by the child, the author develops theidea that this custom gradually loses its characteristics as a rite of passage. Furthermore, the lack of information or its laic presentation and interpretation has resultedin the development and approbation of a „scenario“ of the custom, which leads to aprocess of deritualization and transformation so this custom becomes primarily a festivemoment, a party, a visit, an occasion for gatherings of people who, through theirpresence and especially through their gifts, support the new-born and his/her family.

Чешка политика према породици

Чешка политика према породици

Author(s): Biljana B. Stanković / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 167/2018

The paper presents the development and transformation of the Czech population policy since the 1950s. It changed from the pronatalist, carried out at a time when the Czech Republic was part of the communist Czechoslovakia, to mostly social in the time of the transition from the 1990s, and the actualization and introduction of new measures in the last decade. The measures that were defined and implemented over a certain period of time represented the state’s response to the family and reproductive behavior of the population, most often reflected in low fertility, largely determined by the current social, economic and cultural conditions. In this sense, the period of the greatest challenges came after 1989, with the transformation of the social and political system and the great economic and social changes that followed, as well as the decline in fertility to an extremely low level. At that time, family policy excluded the pronatalist incentives and benefits and only kept social measures aimed at reducing poverty and alleviating inequalities. Since the early 2000s, new measures have been defined and implemented, motivated by the need to stop and change the declining fertility trend that reached the lowest level (TFR 1.13 in 1999), by looking at the possible negative socio-economic consequences, as well as the recommendations and directives of the European Union, member of which became Czech Republic in 2004. Since 2000, the decline in fertility stopped, TFR reached 1.43 in 2011 and according to data for 2016, it was 1.63 children per woman.

Щрихи от портрета на наемните работници в чифлиците от XVII - средата на XVIII век

Author(s): Stefka Parveva / Language(s): English,Bulgarian Publication Year: 0

The paper aims to add some elements to the portrait of hired workers (ter oglani, irgat) or share croppers (ortakci) in the askeri cifliks. The inheritance documents of several men and one woman who had died in the cifliks present a rare opportunity to examine aspects of the life of this category of people. The inheritance inventories (terke/ muhalleft defters) of these people were registered in the kadi court registers of the towns of Sofia, Vidin and Ruscuk (mod. Rousse). The first part of the paper analyses the main elements of the contractual relations between ciflik owners and the people they had hired and taxation of the workers. The second part of the paper examines some aspects of the portrait of these workers, based on a structural analysis of inheritance inventories of their representatives, who were either peasants or town dwellers.

ЭВОЛЮЦИЯ ОБРАЗА ЖЕНЩИНЫ-РУКОВОДИТЕЛЬНИЦЫ В СОВЕТСКОМ КИНО

Author(s): Marina Robertovna Torburga,Sergey Viktorovich Dobronravov / Language(s): Russian Issue: 3/2021

In the article the authors investigate the transformation of typical images of women leaders in Soviet cinema. Until the end of the Stalin era, politicized images of women leaders were created, which were mainly intended to justify state power and the course of leaders, who are not inferior to men in their strong-willed and business qualities, appeared during the years of the ―thaw‖ when the ideological pressure of state power on art became less strong. Women are depicted as independent and capable of achieving everything on their own. In the films of this period the party — as a social force — is absent. And finally, the 70s manifested the very patriarchal attitudes that Soviet cinema fought throughout its entire existence: the female leader began to be portrayed as an inferior person. The directors of this period promote the idea that the true essence of a woman is not career-oriented. For a woman, first of all, marriage and family should be the most important ideas and values. Moreover, ideally any woman should share the values and attitudes of the man she is going to marry. Such a metamorphosis was a sign of the decomposition of the Soviet system and the development of bourgeois relations, giving rise to the return of patriarchal views to Soviet society.

Children`s rights are not only with a legal but also with a pedagogical character. They take into account not only children`s specifics but they also bear educational messages. Janusz Korczak who is considered as a herald of the children`s rights has special merits in this respect. His idea regarding the children and childhood, which was exposed almost one hundred years ago, is reinvented again today and it is decoded as “pedagogical spirit” of the Convention of the rights of the child.
