In this article the author presents the Islamic concept of caring about the orphans and the poor through wider elucidation of a number of the Qur’anic ayats and relevant hadith, on bases of which he concludes that the faith in the Akhirah (Eshaton), all the rituals, as well as their value and sincerity are interwoven with the care about the orphans and the poor. After the faith in God, devotion and obedience only to Him and following His Massinger in all the matters of faith, morality, law and culture, greatest duties of a man are: duties towards ones parents, his children, grandparents, brothers and sisters and then come the duties towards orphans (yateem) and the poor (miskeen) and towards all that are in need. Dozens of the Qur’anic ayats and a large number of the hadith relate about the duties of a Muslim towards the orphans as important undoubted and unquestionable duties. The article stresses the Islamic concept of property based upon the Islamic sources underlining the significance of the required attitude towards economically endangered categories of the society.

This paper concerns a Polish public discourse about migrants and refugees. The author describes specific features of the discourse and tries to show strategies of argumentation and rhetoric used by politicians and journalists in order to justify opposition to the acceptance of refugees. The current study was carried out using research tools taken from discourse analysis and Critical Discourse Analysis. The research materials were texts published on the rightist websites: niezależna.pl, myśl24.pl, wpolityce.pl, and fronda.pl. On the basis of the texts analysis the author concludes that despite the great diversity, discursive strategies have in principle two main goals, hence can be divided into two groups. The first group comprises strategies that are based on the fear. Migrants that come from different cultures are believed to pose various types of threats which size and nature depend only on the author’s imagination and the examples that it feeds on. The second group contains strategies concerning moral issues. They are built on the conviction that obligation to help those in need and to solidarize with them is not universal and unconditional.

This article surveys the interpretations of the ethical foundations of Karl Marx’s thought. These interpretations focus on the early ideas of Marx and analyze them in the context of various traditions of moral philosophy. Aristotelian ethics is often proposed as the best model to understand the ethical foundations of Marx’s work. This article also points to the significance of Alasdair MacIntyre’s works in moral philosophy for the Aristotelian interpretation of Marx’s ethics.

Human rights have become one of the most pressing and intractable matters of political life, and perhaps even of life as such. We might even say that there could be no life without human rights, without, at the very least, the right to live. This is why, from their very beginnings, human rights have always been a way to think about what it means to be human, and what it means to have the right both to live and to be human. Why do governments abuse human rights and what can be done to deter and reverse abusive practices? The technology offers important health and nonhealth benefits, but raises ethical concerns, including privacy and the potential for coercive implantation of RFID tags in humans before their use becomes widespread and it becomes too late to prevent misuse of this usefull but ethically probematic technology. There is a benefit of an implanable RFID chip but also the erosion of our privacy and a right to bodily integrity might be a problem. Implanting humans with RFID tags is leading to some difficult questions as well as cameras all over the world and eavesdropping. They are definitively threats to humans privacy and the experts must consider how to balance between securitiy and liberty.

The article discusses the current issues of the discrete functioning of fundamental social institutions such as law and economics. The logical outcome of this situation is a significant social differentiation of the Russian population, the negative effects of which alter the quality of legal relations, studied, among other things, by the general legal theory of marginality.

The Bulgarian government striving to support the Bulgarian children ratified the Convention on the rights of the child in 1991 and adopted the Law on Protection of the child ten years later in May 2000. The Law on Protection of the child states that children’s rights are basic human rights and it sets the balance between the legitimate intervention of the State in the family relationships and respects the right of private and family life. Is this the truth? How well are Bulgarian children protected? What do we do for ‘our’ children’s wellbeing? The statistics concerning those who live in institutions in Europe as a whole, and in Bulgaria in particular, is not in favour of the concept of respecting the rights of all human beings. In the past it was widely accepted that the institutions provided the best possible cares for children at risk, children with disabilities, abandoned children, and adults. It was due to the state policies that relied on the assumption that the state is capable of being fully in charge of the groups that needed cares. The institutions involved in child care appear to be a problem for the European community, as well as the Bulgarian one, in particular. A number of surveys prove the negative effect of the institutions on the child’s life and their physical, psychic, intellectual and emotional development. The scientific contribution combined with the data obtained from practice present the institutionalization as a bad policy and violation of human rights. Because of the listed reasons, the issue of putting into practice the deinstitutionalization regarding the children accommodated in homes for institutionalized care has become a topical one. To respect their human rights and to achieve a better life quality these children need cares and support that differ significantly from those provided in the institutions. The state policies as well as the efforts of the community should be aimed at offering an alternative type of care which will be highly beneficial to the child. One of these homes that follows this direction of reducing the number of children living in it is the one in the town of Blagoevgrad. We have set the goal to trace the process of deinstitutionalization of children from the age of 0 – 3 years who are brought up at the Home for medical-social cares for children and meanwhile to make a parallel in the development of the medical-social services for children aged 0 – 3 on the way of deinstitutionalization.

The social exclusion of the Roma population in Slovakia is manifested in many areas of life– from housing, education, access to healthcare and services, to employment and spatial distance. More than half of the Roma live in segregated settlements, which are characterized by a lack of fundamental infrastructure. Although a substantial number of infrastructure projects funded from EU funds were implemented to address these conditions the outcomes had been inconclusive. In this paper, the authors suggest that significant factors affecting the outcomes are general structural conditions, power asymmetries, and rooted social practices at the local level. Employing P. Bourdieu’s theoretical concepts and building on extensive fieldwork in municipalities of eastern and southern Slovakia, the authors identify three types of outcomes. These might serve as ‘ideal types’ for the better understanding of social processes leading to decision-making, and how various social agents may shape implementation of infrastructure projects at the local level. Finally, the authors discuss possibilities of how to mitigate discrepancies between the declared goals of the projects and their real outcomes.

From the standpoint of ideologists of national movements teachers as the lowest link of intellectuals were obliged to carry out the intermediary functions between different population stratums and elite representatives. These responsibilities often contradicted with the educational function of a teacher, compelling him to seek a compromise between national and professional requirements. The teacher’s choice in favor of national duties has often become a source of conflicts with a school administration and authorities in province.

The article explores the situation of the Romanian youth, offering an overview on the young people’s economic and social inclusion perspectives. The article argues that the high levels of unemployment, lack of access to education and poor living standards are the reason for young people’s dissatisfaction with the country’s situation and, more broadly, with the performance of democratic institutions in Romania. The lack of economic perspectives generates a high migration rate to other EU countries, a solution that many young Romanians prefer for better living standards and more opportunities. The article claims that the dissatisfaction with the current situation creates a rejection of the traditional, institutionalized politics and elections and the pursuit of new, alternative forms of political participation, but it also feeds potentially dangerous authoritarian attitudes.

The current socio-political and economic environment places Europe’s youth in a burdensome position. The financial crisis from the past decade, as well as the remnants of the political transitions after the fall of communism in Southeast Europe, have spelled some of the worst conditions for young people in historic terms, particularly in this region.Youth unemployment is unprecedentedly high. The education system seems to fail in providing young people with the skills and knowledge to succeed. Governments are perceived as vastly detached from the issues relevant to their youngest constituencies. Political apathy is rampant. In the present environment, perspectives of young people are increasingly important, as they signal the urgent areas of action and can navigate social research and government policy. The present paper provides an overview of the current attitudes among young people in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe based on previous research and personal observation, filling some of the existing gaps in common perceptions of young citizens.

The article stresses the main problems of the Croatian economy and society. Young people are one of the groups that are most influenced by these problems. Youth unemployment, public debt, the educational system and labour market are the main problems for the adolescents in Croatia. But even though young people are influenced by many negative trends in society and economy, they have a perspective in Croatia and in the EU as well. They are the ones who are the important factor for future changes and the politicians should give them a real chance. Young people in Croatia are educated and they are willing to work and to make contributions. But the state must not be an obstacle on their journey. They gain experience through national and European projects, and so they can help other young people in the EU candidate countries to benefit from the EU and change the situation in their own countries.

The sense of necessarily taking place on the team winning and the sense of always being the winner have influenced the olympic spirit of sporting activities. Some athletes who want to win at all costs start by working and using many supplements or some drugs to develop their performance, and eventually began to some medical methods that will go up to doping. It's also true in terms of doping no ethical value and caused controversy in the sports community. When we realize that the use doping of is wrong for the principle of equality in sports we should deter the people who use or plan to try and we should get across the globe raising awareness work in this anti-doping direction. The most noticeable in terms of doping practices method is gene doping. The progress of the human genetics finds a better chance with a wide variety of applications over genes which are used for gene doping, for athletes who will face with versatile health problems, or unknown and unpredictable dangers, either.

The labor and employment woes of today require that existing businesses to expand its operations and to be receptive to innovations. Within this context, in the studies it has been alleged that when intrapreneurship is supported it is likely to obtain performance increase, to create new job opportunities, strategic renewal, and foresee new business expansion opportunities. Here has been a consensus on entrepreneurship literature that people who are prone to be intrapreneurs have a set of common characteristics such as innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness and autonomy. Considering the fact that in today’s business environment these three generations working together, and contemplating on their differences, our first hypothesis then becomes, if an organization is seeking intrapreneurship from its employees, there will be generational differences regarding the characteristics. While processing, the effects of variables such as educational differences, years of employment, and gender are also investigated. Within the quantitative research design, we employed descriptive statistics, ANOVA and the Kruskal-Wallis H. and tested the proposed hypotheses. Sample data was collected from instructors working in public and private primary schools, high schools, and study centers. he results suggest that the older generation, with more experience, were greater risk takers, and were able to tap into their lifelong experiences, resulting in higher evidence of innovation.

Dealing with contemporary security challenges suggests that our thoughts should focus on current social and political processes that shape our reality. Thinking about security challenges is not random; we can easily say that this is the result of the negative nexus of social and political events that we are facing within our lives for so many years. Consequences that exhaust our community and undermine the overall quality of life are clearly visible. Irresponsible actions followed by poorly conceived social policies have not produced a healthy or secure society, making overall safety very questionable. Unfortunately, and almost without exception, this problem is more than evident in all countries in transition. Even a cursory observation of the social relationships in the public domain shows that they have become a source of deep existential insecurity and dissatisfaction among citizens, especially as it relates to what is still standing in phenomenology of the political sphere, where existing policy stirs up a sense of fear and uncertainty. BiH society, full of paradoxes, has ratified many important human rights documents, but this is more “ceremonial”, because in reality these principles are “decoupled” from everyday practice (Cole,2012).
