The cross-border migration is a large aspect of migration process in context of increasing mobility. Studies on this migration segment are modest, there is an information gap to deepen knowledge and insight into the nature, impact and factors that inhibit or stimulate cross-border migration, but includes more types of migration on both sides of the border.

The article is a conceptual rationalization of live action role-playing games (LARP games) from the perspective of subcultural studies. The phenomenon of LARP games is addressed through the ideas of John Irwin and Gary Alan Fine, both representatives of the late Chicago School tradition, and defined as a scene of interaction or a leisure subculture. In the presentation of forms of social organization and cultural practices of Bulgarian larp players key terms borrowed from influential theories in the fieldof (post)subcultural studies are used, such as (neo) tribes and bricolage. Both thedynamics of values and attitudes among the active participants and the ideas producedin the perception of the subculture by outside members of society are discussed. Thequestion of the ethical engagement of the researcher to the studied subjects has beenraised and the position of the scholar as a mediator in a media environment oversaturatedwith representations has been questioned.

There are four major challenges that women face in the Blue Economy: Structural - Big companies don't reach the small scale fisheries, where women usually work. Despite the fact that women provide more than 85% of the landed catch, even when investment is available it reaches men first. Sociocultural - Social attitudes frown on and punish women for being in certain spaces. Discriminatory gender and social stereotypes ban women from taking part in areas of the Blue Economy. Capacity - Women engaged in the Blue Economy lack access to capital, investments, and equipment to grow their businesses. Lack of women’s voices - Women's voices are absent in their majority.

The 5+2 format of negotiations on Transnistrian conflict is a good framework to achieve the goal of establishing a durable peace on Dniester’s banks. However, Moldovan negotiators face difficulties to reach this objective. There is not clearly formulated set of common values, interests (and needs) that can unite the two banks of the river. Only in such conditions can be restored and consolidated the Moldovan integral state. In this context, it is explainable why till now there are no plans (projects) of resolving the conflict, elaborated by Moldovan government’s servants. Only such documents could be a base for discussions in 5+2 format (the third basket).

The Annual Campus Festival is among the summer music festivals in Hungary which targets higher education students and attracts a large number of participants. The organisers of the festival pay special attention to enhancing visitors’ interest in sport and music events. The Campus Sport Festival takes place annually to promote sport and to provide higher education students, fans and participants from Hungary and abroad (Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine) with memorable opportunities to get to know each other and socialize. Based on the results of a survey in 2017 this study analyses higher education students’ motivation to take part in such international events and focuses on similarities and differences identified among students from other countries. A programme for statistical analysis, SPPS, was used to study the differences among students from several countries and event motivational factors were taken into consideration when administering Pearson’s chi-squared and Kruskal-Wallis tests.

The pre-university educational institutions are state-funded, from the local budgets of the administrative-territorial units to which they belong. They can be funded additionally by the Ministry of National Education. Basic funding is provided by the state within the standard cost per pupil. Complementary funding is realised from the local budgets of the administrative-territorial units to which the pre-university educational institutions belong. Additional funding is provided by the Ministry of National Education. Educational institutions may also have their own revenues. These are obtained from donations, sponsorships or other legally constituted sources. Pre-university educational institutions cannot function and cannot perform without the allocation of financial resources to cover their expenses. This creates a direct link between funding and performance.

Education is a central social institution supporting human capital development and socialisation of youth to adulthood. From this point of view, the passage of individuals through the education system is an important theme of study for social sciences, both for explaining educational attainment, as well as for understanding subsequent outcomes obtained by individuals through their life course (employment, income, health, etc.). Educational trajectories are characterised by various transitions that mark the passing of individuals through the education system. The present paper aims to explore educational choices and participation to higher education in Romania and the way they are being shaped by contextual factors. We analyse statistical and administrative data on participation to higher education, considering the characteristics of the economic environment and institutional settings. Our results are relevant to better inform education related decisions of individuals, as well as for supporting the policy making process.

Definition of sports supplements: A food, a component of the food, a nutrient, or a non-nutritional component is ingested in addition to foods consumed daily in order to achieve specific health and/or beneficial performance. Nutritional supplements should be consumed to supplement a balanced diet, not as a substitute. Nutritional supplements should not be administered by approaching the "Same for All" system; it should be considered that athletes train for different goals (problems with body composition, recovery after injuries) and train with different loads. Sports nutrition products such as sports drinks and protein refreshments are not considered nutritional supplements. The approach to nutritional supplements should be in accordance with the WADA Code (World Anti-Doping Agency) which stipulates that all supplements used do not contain prohibited substances in sports. Nutrient supplements are preparations that have in their composition macronutrients, micronutrients and other edible substances. Protein consumption is crucial for any individual involved in strong, vigorous workouts. 1 gram of protein has 4 calories. Protein is essential for growth and repair.

Due to technological evolution and digitalization education has encountered many changes in the last decade. Students as a part of educational system bring their own footprint on it through their learning styles. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the learning styles of a group of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The achievement of this goal is realized through a questionnaire applied to a sample of 114 students. Particularly, I have used the Felder & Soloman Index (ILS), which is specifically evaluating four learning dimensions: processing information; perceiving information; receiving and understanding information. In order to shape the students’ learning styles, the statements were grouped in three categories and had a five - point Likert scale for evaluation. Even if at first glance the problem of learning styles is considered a simple task, through further analysis I realized that it is a complex process. Understanding and defining the students’ leaning styles is particularly important because this is the key of their active involvement. In this context, Z generation is identified with an auto-didactic and independent learning type and also with a strong desire to choose what and how to study.

The aim of the paper is to examine the income inequalities of men and women in Poland. We estimate conditional cumulative distribution functions for incomes in both groups of people using a flexible hazardfunction based estimator in the presence of covariates. The conditional piecewise-constant exponential hazard models are applied. Then, we decompose the estimated income differences along the whole income distribution. For this purpose, we construct the counterfactual distribution, which is the distribution of incomes that would prevail for women if they had the distribution of men’s characteristics. The method allowed to investigate the structure of inequalities in the entire range of income values for the two analyzed groups of people. The empirical investigation is based on the data collected within the EU-SILC project.

The rise of racist phenomena both globally and locally is perceived ever more as a crucial issue in the present socio-political context. This has led to the substantial growth of intellectual considerations on the phenomena, even in local contexts where racisms have rarely been analysed. The article critically analyses the central issues of the dominant epistemology of most existing research and reductionist understandings of racisms, their historical developments and persistence in liberaldemocratic capitalistic societies organised as nation states. By reflecting on the genesis and fundamental coordinates of the dominant epistemology and utilising the insights of alternative epistemologies, a framework is established for a more nuanced understanding of racisms that mirrors the complexity of these phenomena.

A Hungarian public university was one of the main demands of the leaders of Hungarians from Romania after the fall of the communist regime in 1989. Almost three decades later, higher education in Hungarian has developed into a precarious, fragmented, and divided institutional assemblage, solidified around two main components, the Hungarian line of study at the well-established public Babeș-Bolyai University and the new private university Sapientia, reliant on the Hungarian government’s financial support. The article investigates how Hungarians from Romania, whose persistent ethnic politics brought them extensive recognition, and who were successful in creating a Hungarian parallel society, failed to converge in achieving one of their most important goals. By unpacking this case of intra-ethnic unmixing, it shows how institutional arrangements affect the stakes and means of the struggle for minority rights, and how structural asymmetry in numbers and power carries disadvantage into the life of institutions.

The free movement of persons in the EU has been thought of as reflecting an ideal of supranational solidarity within the single market. However, over the past decade, it has become a source of political contention among European peoples. Much attention has been paid to Western European, anti-EU sentiment regarding Central Eastern European migration. Yet euroskeptic populism has recently risen within the eastern EU as well. Despite this phenomenon, less attention has been given to discursive views of the free movement of persons in the eastern expansion countries. This contribution takes issue with transactionalist and utilitarian approaches to identity formation. It argues that resilient national identity shapes the perception of national interests regarding the market-based citizenship promoted by the EU institutions. Through qualitative analysis of the high-circulation popular Polish press, this study finds that when viewed through national identity–based interest perceptions, the free movement of persons is not framed in terms of “actual” economic benefits or opportunities. Instead, it is framed as a dubious benefit of EU integration, in relation to many obligations of EU membership. In contrast, the press discourse examined here frames intra-Union migration as the continuing unfortunate necessity of emigration. Thus, national identity conceptions may influence the eastern EU press narrative, causing it to frame the free movement of persons negatively, in terms of perceived interests.
