„Could Anyone Explain How to Prepare Man for the Worst?” – Pastoral-Psychological Reflection on Physical and Mental Conditions Caused by the COVID-19. This study provides a theological reflection on suffering by identifying various conditions caused by the COVID-19 and post-COVID syndrome. A dis-tinction is to be made between fear and symptoms on the one hand and anxiety and suffering on the other. Fear and symptoms potentially cause anxiety, and suffer-ing thus creates existentially defined states wherein our faith and spirituality are highly significant. Different approaches are adopted in this paper: the problem-focused and emotion-focused approach, as explained by Lazarus and Folkman, and the religious coping methods and styles of Kenneth I. Pargament. The collaborative coping style (researched by Pargament) is not just the most effective approach, but it is one of the potential ways of inner spiritual growing. In order to find answers regarding suffering and anxiety, we have to meet Jesus and follow him on his descending path (repentance, humility, obedience – via purgativa), make reconciliation (via iluminativa), and receive the new creation (via unitiva). Congregations can search these ways together so that faith communities might gain strength and find possi-bilities in pastoral and spiritual care during the time of COVID-19.

Purpose – Courage, which refers to self-sacrifice for others, is one of the most universally appreciated virtues. There is a need for research that examines the concept of courage, which has its roots in the Ancient Age, more comprehensively than philosophical approaches that accept it as a personal trait. For this reason, the aim of this study is to adapt the "Social Courage Behavior at Work" scale, developed by Howard, Farr, Grandey and Gutworth (2017) and proven to be valid and reliable, into Turkish in order to conduct studies on organizational variables. Design/methodology/approach - The universe of this research consists of 1,400 teachers working in secondary education institutions in Çorum Central district in the 2020-2021 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 381 teachers who were reached through the convenience sampling method. Findings – In parallel with the structured scale adaptation studies, firstly, exploratory factor analysis was performed to determine the research sub-dimensions and to reveal the factor structures. As a result of exploratory factor analysis with the help of SPSS program, 2 items with more than one factor loading were removed from the scale and a one-dimensional "Social Courage Behavior at Work" scale was obtained. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, the model's goodness-of-fit index was CMIN/DF= 2.956; RMSEA=.072; CFI = .955; GFI= .965; AGFI=0.934; TLI=0.933; p=.000 and standardized RMR=.0393 were found within the desired limits. The Cronbach Alpha value (0.849) was used to determine the reliability of the scale whose construct validity was accepted. Discussion – As a result of the validity and reliability analysis, it was determined that the final version of the "Social Courage Behavior at Work" scale, consisting of 9 items and one-dimensional, is a valid and reliable scale.

Purpose – The point of the study is to examine the relationship between the personal characteristics of bank retail customers and the factors that may affect their credit card alternatives via the frequency of usage of such credit cards. Design/methodology/approach – This study falls within the scope of correlational research model in this respect. The correlational research approach provides for the clarification of the relationship between variables as well as the prediction of the findings. This study's sampling is based on 610 bank retail customers who had access to credit lines defined using easily available sampling methodologies. The research findings are produced using the following criteria: (1) personality inventory as the primary factor, (2) frequency of credit card usage each month, and (3) factors that influence credit card preference. The total score for each criterion is established by the criteria applicable to subsequent factor analysis that were developed in line with the data that fell within the scope of this study. Findings – As a result, the total scores were computed first. The skewness and kurtosis coefficients were calculated to determine whether or not such derived scores were distributed smoothly. The structural equation model was used to establish how the variables were clarified through the criteria used in credit card preference and customer behaviour based on the frequency of credit card use. According to the findings, when the factors impacting credit card preference that are based on the personal characteristics of retail customers are applied, the structural equation model used to establish for the instances that may have an influence on the frequency of credit card usage is substantiated.

How the person uses his body to express himself and how these are interpreted by the author will be examined. Four novels in which the author featured female characters were selected for the examination. These novels are Cemile, Over the Fertile Land, There Was a Sprout, and The Bad Path. In these four novels, four female characters, which are seen to be in the foreground, will be examined by centering. These women are Cemile, Fatma, Filiz and Nuran, respectively. It is possible to make some determinations about the characters of these people from the descriptions made about the people in the mentioned novels. Orhan Kemal gives various roles to female characters in these four novels and these social roles contain clues about their place in society. This information, on the other hand, reveals the mood of the novel characters by giving various clues about their psychological state. In other words, it can be said that the author used these bodily descriptions in order to obtain various clues about those women and to better understand them. Fatma and Cemile live in similar conditions. One is the worker women who succumb by making wrong choices in the face of life, and the other is the women who resist against life. They are like two different alternatives of the same road. A similar interest can be established for Filiz and Nuran. Filiz is a good alternative to Nuran's story with a bad ending.
