Уједињена Европа: економске, образовне и политичке интеграције

Уједињена Европа: економске, образовне и политичке интеграције

Author(s): Vladimir Ribić / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 1/2006

Initial political steps towards unification of European nations on level terms, i.e. on non-hegemony terms, were made within the period between the two World Wars. These endeavours culminated with The Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), which was signed on 18 April 1951 in Paris by France, West Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxemburg. The Treaty of Rome, establishing the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom), signed in Rome on 25 March 1957 broadened the economic integrations, and finally the Maastricht Treaty signed on December 1992 envisaged the establishment of economical and monetary union. Economical unification was followed by integration processes in the field of education that were manifested in joint institutions and projects for improving the expertise and mobility of students, teachers and researchers. As far as the political integration of Europe is concerned, divergent directions occurred after the World War II: the first, streaming towards the establishment of the union of European nations, while the second was reflected in founding of Atlantic, namely Euro-Atlantic organizations. Furthermore, there has been a constant struggle ever since between those advocating a tighter federation and those wishing a looser union of European states. Political integration is followed by attempts to create a fundamentally joint European identity based on mutual cultural heritage. Economic, educational, and political integrations within the framework of European Union are an expression of pan-national aspirations, which could – if successful – result in establishment of a single European nation, founded on the civil-territorial principle.

Author(s): Aleksandra Momčilović / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 2/2008

In this paper, museum artifacts are taken as a point of intersection between concepts of continuity and identity formation. The metaphoric and metonymic symbolism of the artifact were interpreted in the context of perception of time, taken to be the cognitive background of the perceived value of the artifact. Having in mind that museums are institutions dedicated to preserve and promote cultural identity, it was necessary to build a connection between cognitivity and contemporary concepts of museology. Theoretical starting points were structuralism and semiotic analysis. The approach is deductive and comparative, starting from the anthropology of time, over issues in museology, to the introduction of a cognitivist perspective. The character of the study is hypothetical, with the goal of being applied in museology.

Участь Південноукраїнських Істориків У Роботі Наукових З’їздів (Друга Половина ХІХ – Початок ХХ Ст.)

Author(s): Olexandr E. Muzychko / Language(s): Ukrainian / Issue: 28/2017

The purpose of this article is studying of participation of the South Ukrainian historians in work of scientific congresses which took place in the second half of 19th - the beginning of the 20th century both in the territory of the Southern Ukraine, and in other regions of the Russian Empire and beyond its limits. The research of a question of participation of the South Ukrainian historians in work of scientific congresses confirms the leading positions of Odesa in historiographic process of this region. On the other hand, it is obvious that Archaeological congresses which were held each third anniversary in the Russian Empire were a powerful tool of involvement in the scientific historiographic field not only the academic historians, but also historians of the second plan, often just fans of old times. It in turn promoted an exit of historical researches in the south of Ukraine from a provincial state. Congresses performed important communicative function of establishing contacts between the South Ukrainian historians, between them and their colleagues from other regions; promoted inflow to the South Ukrainian historical science of new forces; to increase in interest in local, South Ukrainian history, development of researches of history of Ukraine; to strengthening of potential of local scientific organizations and institutions. However, participation in foreign congresses was already elite business of which, even from especially financial reasons, only professors of the Odesa university, first of all those from them which researches were focused on studying of the Western European history were capable. Reports of the South Ukrainian historians and their participation in congresses brightly reflected the fact that the scientific interests of these historians were not limited only to the Southern Ukraine even if it is about those who are known for the corresponding reputation and interests. The congresses facilitated the establishment of closer cooperation between the southern Ukrainian historiographic centers. This is especially noticeable in the process of preparation for the Katerynoslav Congress. Preparatory committees were active in Odesa and Simferopol. Also, congresses have contributed to the strengthening of the scientific potential of the southern Ukrainian centers. Yes, it was the Katerynoslav Congress that contributed to the completion of the formation of the Museum of Antiquities by A. Pol. A common feature of the Odesa and Katerynoslav Congress was the organization of excursions of its participants to the Crimea. During the excursion of the Odesa Congress, one of its leaders was the Evpatorian priest Y. Chepurin, a member of the congress. During the visit to Khersones, participants of the Katerynoslav Congress met with the Head of the Kherson Museum and the excavations of K. Kosciuszko-Valiuzynych. Congresses had also important public, national value: in the conditions of deformations in national policy of the Russian Empire they allowed the Ukrainian national movement in the south of Ukraine in addition to declare oneself by lips of the leaders, and, on the other hand, participation in the international congresses in addition stimulated liberal views of historians which never avoided active participation in public life. In general, participation of historians from the territory of the Southern Ukraine in scientific congresses was main «platform» on which the «live» historical thought developed.

Dostoevsky, is the largest such collection and currently includes 2540 items. The collection of photographs is based on the memorial collection of A. G. Dostoevskaya from the Memorial Museum of F. M. Ф. Ніцше про культуротворчий потенціал духу музики

Author(s): Tetiana Borisivna Kablova / Language(s): Ukrainian / Issue: 2/2015

Civilization complex processes of human development forming a global paradigm cultural environment. Sometimes it leads to leveling the spiritual and aesthetic diversity in culture. There is a diversity of concepts and standardization at the same time. Against this background, establish understanding of the need for cultural and historical processes and their implementation in some new creative constants. The result is the kind context that matches the culture of human existence. This provides opportunities to apply concepts cultural-creativity as existential and contextual self-determination rights of human. Cultural-creative process gets spiritually and aesthetically defined form in the specific kind of arts. It is in this philosophical and cultural aspects in the article studies the views of Friedrich Nietzsche to the importance of the spirit of music in the cultural-creative being. Considering art as a form of expression of the culture of creativity of the human being, Nietzsche drew attention tothe irrational part of the cultural and historical processes. In the cognitive process the science completes its search for truth like the rational and logical form of this truth. At the same time, art has aesthetic, artistic and original creative form of the first idea. Science and art are in different layers of culture creative process: the first tending – to discourse, another – to the aesthetic. The art Nietzsche understood as being aesthetic form and artistic for explication will to power. He singled out the Apollonian and Dionysian principles of formation and functioning of Arts. The spirit of art appears as merging art and nature, art in its aesthetic significance and crafts, art of life and the will to power. The result was the culture creation – material reality as an imitation of world of ideas and the world of ideas as mimesis, reproduction Logos and Cosmos. The real creative work is accompanied by a rejection of individuality. Composer creates a form, the content directed to an ideal state. After achieving this result is to power beyond his, the only eternally cultural creativity natural forces which dominate the world. In his discussion the spirit of culture Nietzsche emphasizes the unique role of music in culture-creativity existence. Music stands beyond any comparison, but all in culture compared with music. Thus, the musical culture ethos associated with the fact that, according to Nietzsche, music can become a reflection of this reality, where there is an implicit harmony Apollonian and Dionysian principle. The Spirit of Music transmits the actual harmony of time – true feelings in opposite over conventional enemy, any artificial exclusion and any misunderstanding of man by man. In this context, the cultural spirit of music is an abstraction, deliberately devoid of any kind verbal or conceptual nature. Music has a logical composition form, but not illustrates the picture of historical process. Music has immanent features of particular object or event. The spirit of music hasn’t a discursive potential or reaction, its unconscious emotional expression of the inner essence of the world, volitional quintessence of life. This conceptual framework Nietzsche formed the concept of "the spirit of music" as a general and universal content being which determines any phenomenon, but the meaning of which in principle cannot convey the other kind of arts. The essence culture-creativity of this is that "the joy of existence" we must look for not in the phenomena. Musical story can to show thousands variants of events, images and stories which reflect just one facet of historical content and emotionally individualize it. This allows the recipient is not interpreted through plastic images of the world through music in general, but only certain events with certain characters. So music is a metaphysical fundamental of the world, the will to power. The image itself will not display specific events in the world. The musical product created within the cultural traditions and recognizes successful only if through it is "visible" enough of this tradition and cultural heritage. Unity of music culture of the creative process – is the most insightful play "structure" spiritual events of historical time. It is known that cultural – creative has deep anthropological principles, which to some extent reflect the evolution and development of man, with its ethnic and cultural characteristics humanitarian specifications. This provides opportunities to assume that the spirit of music is particularly important in the processes of cultural-creative and accordance with the socio-cultural of being in a cultural and historical continuum.

Ф.И. Шмит в Ленинградском университете на рубеже 20-30-х годов ХХ века

Author(s): Vitaly G. Ananiev / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 3/2021

This paper discusses an episode from the academic biography of Fyodor Ivanovich Shmit (1877– 1937), a prominent Russian art historian and art theorist, museologist. The history of F.I. Shmit’s teaching at Leningrad State University during the 1920s and 1930s was covered. The scholar was an alumnus of the university and renewed the relationship with the alma mater following his return from Ukraine to Leningrad in the mid-1920s. Until 1932, F.I. Shmit taught here various disciplines of art history and theory. Since 1930, he had worked as the head of the Department of General History of Art and taught here such courses as History of Byzantine Art, History of Art in Feudal Europe, History of Ancient Art, History of Western European Art of the Age of Primitive Accumulation of Capital. He actively presented the results of his research in the form of academic reports. The analysis of F.I. Shmit’s curricula shows that, on the one hand, he tried to adapt them to the needs of the changing time, but, on the other one, he tried to preserve the traditional academic content. In many ways, his activities during this period helped to uphold the traditions of the St. Petersburg-Petrograd School of Art History. However, F.I. Shmit was deprived of the opportunity to continue his teaching due to the changes in the structure of higher education, which were typical for that period, as well as because of the growing pressure of the totalitarian state. In 1933, he was arrested, expelled from Leningrad, and murdered.

The presumable place of finding is Bolgar, Spassky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the hallmarks of the cross, there is a part of the Troparion of the Cross of the Lord “KRE//ST/UT/VO” (Krestu Tvoemu poklonyaemsya, Vladyko, i svyatoe voskresenie Tvoe slavim [Thy Cross do we adore, o Master, and thy holy Resurrection do we glorify]). The paper gives a number of analogies from Pskov, Novgorod, and Ilimsk ostrogs. Similar delicate pendants are also represented in the archaeological collection of A. Likhachev in the funds of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. On the basis of the comparative-typological analysis of the subject, a version about its chronological frameworks in the 17th – 18th centuries has been put forward. The results of the radiographic analysis of the material from which the mold is made have been also discussed.

Хранители и власти: охрана и реставрация имперской столицы в сталинский период

Author(s): O. Yu. Malinova-Tziafeta / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 27/2019

The article analyzes the book Saving Stalin’s Imperial City: preservation Restoration in Leningrad, 1930–1950 by S. M. Maddox. The — Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 2014. — XII, 284 p. Since the 1930s the architectural heritage of the former capital of the Russian Empire was actively used for ideological and mobilization purposes: — to fight fascism, to rebuild the city after the blockade, and to create the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the Blockade. The case of preserving monuments as such was first delivered only in Stalin’s time. Before the Revolution, the state did not invest in restoration, and there was no legal framework obliging owners to do so. The work of city defenders on the evacuation and preservation of historical monuments during the war is also discussed; post-war cooperation of authorities and “guardians” in the restoration of Leningrad; mobilization of the population by using the idea of complete restoration of the pre-war urban landscape; the possible fate of the monuments of Leningrad in the case of the capture of the city by the fascist troops; the establishment of official memory of the Blockade, captured in the urban landscape (monuments, memorial plaques, etc.) and the so-called “Leningrad text”; and finally, the disintegration of the alliance between creating a memory of the Blockade and the restoration of old imperial Petersburg as a result of tightening political course in the late 1940s and the start of the cold war.
