Consumer behavior on the tourist market is influenced by various factors. The results of the market research implemented by the authors on the tourist market of the border regions of Belarus and Poland (Brest and Biała Podlaska) are presented in the paper. Consumer preferences underlying the choice of travel company or travel products are identified. Recommendations aimed at reducing consumer risks and increasing the competitiveness of travel companies have been developed.
