Şizofreni Hastalığında Mutluluk Kavramı

Şizofreni Hastalığında Mutluluk Kavramı

Author(s): Fatih Sahin,Özlem Şahin Altun / Language(s): Turkish Issue: 3/2022

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that affects a person’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Although the symptoms of schizophrenia vary from person to person, the course of the disorder is generally not mild. In addition to these effects of the disease, patients have to struggle with both social and family problems. Having positive feelings such as hope and happiness for patients during this hard period can be a source of motivation in coping with the disease. Indeed, happiness is a basic dimension of a person’s life, related to both functionality and achievement. Happiness is a power that supports mental and psychological well-being in many fields, from healthy living to social interaction in individuals. Happiness in schizophrenia points out less depressive mood, less social isolation, and a more hopeful process for the future and treatment process during the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of schizophrenia. However, limited data are available on happiness in schizophrenia due to the long-standing belief that anhedonia is an inherent feature in schizophrenia. In this context, this study aims to create awareness about the ignored concept of happiness in patients with schizophrenia and to evaluate happiness in schizophrenia with its clinical and functional results.

Алекситимия и високорискови професии: психологична грижа и консултативни практики

Author(s): Tanya Dimitrova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2021

A theoretical overview of alexithymia is proposed, discussing construct`s connections with mental and somatic health, as well as with non-clinical phenomena emphasizing high-risk behaviors as a form of emotional self-regulation and a way to satisfy intrapsychic needs. The influence of alexithymia on choosing high-risk professions is discussed as a yet unexplored theoretical point. The focus is on military and police special forces, emphasizing „Difficulty describing feelings“ (considering these structures’ communicative culture) and „Externally oriented thinking“ (as conductive to following a concrete, clear, pragmatic framework). It is discussed whether increased alexithymia is a necessary personal predisposition for choosing and staying in these professions. If so, how increased should alexithymia be to favor the effective functioning within these structures without becoming a health risk. Effective psychological approaches for high alexithymia are discussed, while analyzing the reasons why there is no counseling framework specifically aimed at dealing with it. Existing psychological programs for government special forces high-risk professionals are also discussed. Currently, there is no psychological care program integrating the needs of both groups. This paper formulates guidelines for developing such a counseling strategy.

Алекситимия, чувствителност към тревожност и ментализация при лица, диагностицирани с диабет тип I или тип II

Author(s): Maya Ignatova,Svetoslav Savov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2021

The deficits in emotional processing have emerged as researcher’s interest, due to the fact that they have a significant role on the regulation and the quality of the overall mental functioning of individuals. They could lead to negative consequences both for the clinical course and for the treatment’s outcome of various psychosomatic diseases, including Diabetes. This chronic disease has a highly growing prevalence all over the world, leading to impaired quality of patients’ lives. The research and knowledge of the levels of alexithymia, anxiety sensitivity and mentalization in individuals with Diabetes would be advantageous by informing different individualized approaches in the clinical practice. The aim of this study was to investigate the levels of alexithymia, anxiety sensitivity and mentalization and their associations. We tested patients having Diabetes type I and II and healthy controls using self – report measures Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS - 20), Anxiety Sensitivity Index and Mentalized Affectivity Scale (MAS). The findings of the present study support the view that individuals with Diabetes showed higher levels of alexithymia and anxiety sensitivity and lower levels of mentalized affectivity. No connection was found between alexithymia and anxiety sensitivity; anxiety sensitivity and mentalized affectivity. These results were similar for both groups. The expectation of an association between higher levels of alexithymia and lower levels of mentalized affectivity was partially confirmed.

Биохимические показатели крови у девушек 17–20 лет разных типов конституции

Author(s): Aleksey Vladimirovich Lebedev,Olga Vladimirovna Tumanik,Mikhail Albertovich Subotyalov,Roman Idelevich Aizman / Language(s): Russian Issue: 5/2016

The article is devoted to the analysis of blood biochemical indicators of girls belonging to different constitutional types. It has been identified that the level of albumin and triglycerides was significantly lower, and the concentration of urea was higher in blood plasma of girls with asthenic body type in comparison with girls of other constitutional types. The studies revealed that girls of normosthenic constitution type had the lowered level of total and direct bilirubin in comparison with other types. Lower concentration of calcium, phosphorus, and α-cholesterol occurred in girls with hypersthenic constitution type, whereas the level of direct bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase and triglycerides was significantly higher in comparison with other types. The concentration of glucose, total protein, creatinine did not differ between girls of different constitutional groups. The correlation analysis of biochemical indicators showed that a range of parameters of protein, lipid, carbohydrate, mineral, fermental and pigmentary metabolism had reliable interrelations between themselves. The representatives of the asthenic type demonstrated more ap-parent system of correlation ties between the fermental and lipid balance. Significant correlations occurred between parameters of protein and fermental metabolism in females with a normosthenic body type, and between fermental, protein and mineral metabolic parameters in females with a hypersthenic type. The analysis of structure and the number of correlation ties in girls with the asthenic and the normosthenic constitutional types allows to assume high plasticity of metabolic processes which determines good performance of adaptive mechanisms against various external factors, whereas a large number of tight correlations occurred in girls of hypersthenic type indicates their high resistance to various factors and lower level of plasticity to changing conditions. It is emphasized that the type of constitution is a "phenotypical expression of a gene complex" that is caused by specific correlations between biochemical indicators in females with different types of body constitution. Probably, it reflects the constitutional determinant of metabolic processes determining an individual biochemical profile of a person. The obtained data have prognostic value for studying biological identity that is important in interpreting blood analysis results of both healthу and sick people.

ВАСПИТАЊЕ ДЈЕЦЕ У ПОРОДИЦИ – УТИЦАЈ СИБЛИНГА И ТРЕЋЕ ГЕНЕРАЦИЈЕ

Author(s): Nataša Đorem / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2018

The main goal of this paper is to provide insights from one side, the influence of the gender configuration of sibling in the education of children, and on the other side, the contribution of the third generation to the upbringing of children. The Sibling relationship is a unique and potent context for the upbringing of children and is one of the key factors of family dynamics. The gender configuration of the children is a structural characteristic of a family that relates to the combination of sex and the order of birth of the child in the family. The unique effects of birth order or the sex of the children affecting the behavior of children and parents are widely researched, but research on their joint impact is rare and insufficient. Grandmothers and grandfathers play an important role in the upbringing of children. In considering their relationship, there are three theoretical models that tried to illuminate factors which can be indicators of the cause of the relationship quality between grandparents and grandchildren. The first model-family life cycle, the second model-model of "selective investment" and the third-model of intergenerational solidarity. However, the role of sibling and third generation in the upbringing of children is relatively neglected by the researchers who are studying the contributions and dynamics of family relationships.

Вземане на решения в дигиталния свят: Отразява ли се гледането на видео или четенето на текст върху прецизността?

Author(s): Yasen Ynev,Daniela Andonova,Ivan Aleksandrov / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2018

The world of today is flooded with information which we need to process and make decisions. Does it matter if we perceive this information as text or video? Using video fragments of real-life diagnostic interviews and text representations with the same content we compared the diagnostic classification accuracy of experienced and novice clinical psychologists. Confidence was also examined. We noted lack of difference in accuracy between cases presented as video or text, and also, lack of difference between experienced and novice groups. What seemed to alter accuracy was the case itself, not its presentation (as text or video). Confidence was found to be positively correlated with accuracy. We conclude that text vignettes are as good case descriptions as videos.

The future profession of medical psychologists requires a high level of training and is associated with a high responsibility for the lives and health of patients. An important factor in improving the quality of training is the rational organization of the educational process, which contributes to an effective learning process, the acquisition of professional skills. It is possible to educate a real doctor, medical psychologist, specialist in one's field only by introducing a strategy of critical thinking development into the educational process. The goal of this strategy is to "awaken consciousness" as the student becomes aware of the realities around him and seeks solutions. Main part. The introduction of interactive learning methods is in line with the concept of personality-oriented learning and is inextricably linked to the use of active and interactive learning methods, such as brainstorming. The introduction of the method of "brainstorming" in teaching physiology to students of Bukovina State Medical University has demonstrated the creation of comfortable learning conditions in which students feel their success, their intellectual ability, which makes the learning process more productive. Conclusion. The introduction of interactive teaching methods: lectures, practical and seminar classes is a requirement of a modern approach to teaching. Such methods significantly improve the assimilation of the material and form the basis of clinical thinking in students in the first year of medical university.

Introduction. The investigated problem consists in studying the factors which influence the ability of mentally retarded children to participate in non-verbal communication. The work was tasked to identify capacities of gestures perception by primary-school-age children with mild mental retardation depending on the attitude of their parents towards education of their children. Materials and Methods. The study involved 128 students of the first grade (7,4 years old, 47 girls and 81 boys), of whom 30 children (the average age was 7,5 years old; 11 girls, 19 boys) had a diagnosis of mild mental retardation (MR) and 53 children (average age was 7,4 years old; 12 girls and 41boys) with mixed specific disorders of psychological development (SDPD). The control group consisted of 45 children with a normative intellectual development (average age was 7,0 years old; 24 girls and 21 boys). In this study we used unique methods, one of which was aimed at identifying a child's understanding of various gestures, and the second – on the description by parents of the interaction with the child. Results. It has been shown that children with MR have difficulty in perception and under-standing of many gestures compared with normative developing peers. Parents of normative developing children compared with families with children with mild MR, significantly more often explain the role of non-verbal communication skills in communicate to their children and answered the questions about the social interactions of people. Parents of normative developing children significantly often trained their communication skills compared to families raising children with easy MR. Conclusions. It is necessary to carry out psychological work with parents of children with easy UO with the aim of improving their parenting competence in developing capabilities of their children.

Въведение в теорията на когнитивния дисонанс

Author(s): Presiyan Burgov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2012

The aim of the present paper is to comment on the most important aspects of the cognitive dissonance theory. The latter offers a possible explanation of the ways in which information is selected, of the structure of the cognitive system and the pursuit of harmony and preservation of the Ego. The excitation of the cognitive dissonance between the elements of the cognitive system of the Ego may be the result of different causes but its presence gives rise to tension and psychic discomfort that motivates the Ego to reduce or eliminate it. The cognitive dissonance may be reduced through a change in the behavioral cognitive elements, in the cognitive elements of the environment or in the addition of new elements intensifying one decision instead another. The original ideas of the theory help generate a lot of conceptual and experimental research that enables researchers to broaden its application in the disclosure of the enigmas of human existence.
