Психосоциални и медицински аспекти при проследяване на случай с Lues – норми, забрани и предразсъдъци

Author(s): Milena Dimitrova,Rositsa Doynovska,Dancho Dilkov,Trayanka Grigorova,Galina Dimitrova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2020

Nowadays, syphilis is both a well-known and a forgotten disease, due to the rarer morbidity and higher effectiveness in the treatment of the infection. Despite that, it poses a challenge, one formed out of, on one hand, the work of the multidisciplinary team/APL, a nurse, an infectionist, a psychiatrist, a dermatologist, a psychologist/and, on the other hand, the prejudices and fears of the patient and his relatives. This is due to the fact that it is most commonly a blood-borne or sexually transmitted and can affect all organs in the human body, causing severe, lasting consequences - both physical and psychological in nature. The high variability of symptoms, the possibility of developing the disease in a wide time range after infection, the need for a complex approach to working with patients all lead to difficulties in the diagnosing and timely treatment of syphilis. This article examines in detail a clinical case of newly-diagnosed neurosyphilis – from the doctor's office to the difficult way out of it, trying to answer the question: Is it possible to have a happy ending in a rather strict, stigmatizing society.

Расколдовывая смерть: медиа и ритуал скорби в телепередаче «Битва экстрасенсов»

Расколдовывая смерть: медиа и ритуал скорби в телепередаче «Битва экстрасенсов»

Author(s): Sergei Mokhov / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 2/2016

Modern Russian society can be seen as practicing both traditional and modern types of ritual mourning. On the one hand, it is not a traditional community with a shared structure of religious practices. On the other hand, a complex infrastructure of social and psychological support to bereaved people is not available yet. In such circumstances, the functions of mourning rituals—to work out fear of death, rebuild communities, and so forth—are delegated to other agents of discourse. This article argues that in contemporary Russia, one function of mourning rituals—acceptance of death—is performed by a TV show called Psychic Challenge. Following Nick Couldry’s position, I suppose that media can enact ritual. Psychic Challenge takes on the function of working out the fear of death and ritualizing grief. Televised mourning rituals use the basic strategy of working with symbolic immortality and drawing the viewer into their narratives. Psychic Challengecan thus be seen as a mediated ritual of mourning.

In the report is presented and developed the idea of the role of the reflection of the mastery of self-affirmation; reflexive self-asessment allows it to be placed under personal control. Trough reflexive self-knowledge, personal self-affirmation is released from the psychological defenses, compensatory delusions and inadequate ways of its implementation. The mature degree of self-affirmation is characterized by the release of inefficient mechanisms of self-assessment and self assertion and targeted use of personal reflexive procedures.

Ръкопис за петте стъпала. Горин Но Шьо

Author(s): Miyamoto Musashi / Language(s): Japanese,Bulgarian

When the undefeated samurai Miyamoto Musashi retreated to a cave in 1643 and wrote The Book of Five Rings, a manifesto on swordsmanship, strategy, and winning for his students and generations of samurai to come, he created one of the most perceptive and incisive texts on strategic thinking ever to come from Asia. Musashi gives timeless advice on defeating an adversary, throwing an opponent off-guard, creating confusion, and other techniques for overpowering an assailant that will resonate with both martial artists and everyone else interested in skillfully dealing with conflict. For Musashi, the way of the martial arts was a mastery of the mind rather than simply technical prowess—and it is this path to mastery that is the core teaching in The Book of Five Rings. Written not only for martial artists but for anyone who wants to apply the timeless principles of this text to their life, the book analyzes the process of struggle and mastery over conflict that underlies every level of human interaction.

САМООРГАНИЗАЦИЯ НА РАЗНЫХ УРОВНЯХ ЖИЗНЕДЕЯТЕЛЬНОСТИ ЧЕЛОВЕКА КАК СУБЪЕКТА ЖИЗНИ

Author(s): Naila Rustamovna Salikhova / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 6/2014

Using the contextual-level model for the value-and-conceptual organization of the life activity of a subject, we systematized the ideas about the phenomena of self-organization in psychological systems. These ideas show the presence of heterostatic tendencies at every level of life activity. We revealed that self-organization processes in psychology are most studied at the levels of activity and action. Self-organization at the metasystemic level of the co-existent community is poorly investigated. The common features of self-organization at all levels are the following: the openness of purposes, the low degree of specificity of its image, and the transformation of a purpose during activity. The problem of revealing the feedback mechanisms in large-scale conceptual contexts of life is a promising issue for future research.

Author(s): Iliya Todorov / Language(s): English,Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2018

The article deals with a range of concepts, striving to reveal their semantic unity. In this connection, a kind of dialectical perspective is used to review their relation of definition. The concepts in question are those of self-consciousness, morality and love. The author clarifies the nature of amorous consciousness – in the sense of identity of love, conditioned as infatuation, and adoration. As a result, a new analytical perspective on certain specific forms of love is established, including love of God, love of the ideal (homeland), maternal or parental love.

Связь динамики физического развития младших школьников с уровнем компьютерной нагрузки

Author(s): Nataliya Borisovna Pankova,Irina Borisovna Alchinova,Olga Igorevna Kovaleva,Marina Andreevna Lebedeva,Nadezhda Nikolaevna Khlebnikova,Anton Borisovich Cherepov,Leonid Alekseevich Noskin,Mikhail Yur’evich Karganov / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 3/2020

Introduction. The means and methods of computerized learning, introduced in recent years in the education system, can potentially have an indirect effect on various indicators of children's health, in particular, indicators of physical development that are sensitive not only to biological, but also to social factors. The aim of this research is to study age-related dynamics of the physical development (body mass index) and its seasonal variability in elementary school students depending on the amount of screen time. Materials and Methods. The sample consisted of 4525 primary schoolchildren in grades 1-4 from 66 educational settings in Moscow. The study was conducted during 5 school years each autumn (October) and spring (March-April). All samples were independent. The study involved body weight and height assessment and BMI (kg/m2) calculation. The amount of school-based and out-of-school screen time was evaluated by teachers, according to the Hygiene standards of the Russian Federation: 0 – no screen time, 1 – the screen time meets hygiene standards requirements, 2 – the screen time is twice longer than recommended, 3 – the screen time is three or more times longer than recommended. Statistical data processing was performed using nonparametric criteria. Results. The research found a correlation between the amount of out-of-school computer screen time and BMI in primary schoolchildren. The relationship between the amount of school-based screen time and BMI has not been identified. Boys are more likely to respond to an increase in out-of-school screen time. The boys’ body response to a high level of out-of-school screen time is an increase in BMI and a change in its seasonal variability (from an increase during the winter period to a significant increase during the summer period). Conclusions. The study reveals the correlation between the amount of out-of-school screen time and physical development of primary schoolchildren. The authors suppose that the most likely reason for the increase in BMI and changes in its seasonal dynamics in the context of digitalization and computerization of education is a forced decrease in children’s motor activity.

Author(s): Valentin Vergilov / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 8/2017

In this study the author searches for the conceptual messages in the poetry of Bulgarian Literature’s Patriarch, which suggest that only by a strong will, faith and a quest for knowledge and self-development, can one rise to the true freedom of personality and spirit. And with his high civic conscience, with the educational beginning, the realistic delight and satirical orientation of his work, Ivan Vazov shows how people of his “rank” cannot and should not keep silent when making decisions with important consequences for the people.

Симулация и огледални неврони. Анализ на понятието за намерение в експеримента на Якобони

Author(s): Nikola Nedelchev / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2015

The goal of the present article is to analyse some of the main premises for justifying the simulation theory (ST) via the mirror neuron theory. The first task will be to formulate a criterion which will set the analysis’s limits. Here I will refer to this criterion as “Goldman’s criterion” (GC). According to GC, the attribution of mental states requires that they be simulationally represented as mental rather than behavioural states. The second task is to introduce the analysis’s object. The object of the analysis enters the picture as part of the theoretical explanations of Iacoboni’s experiment. According to the experiment’s results, mirror neurons represent intentions, which is taken as evidence in support of ST. However, here I will show that the experiment’s description can be a source of alternative uses for the concept of intention – ones that refer not to states, but rather to behavioural dispositions. If this is the case, then GC can not be fulfilled, because of a conceptual problem.
