На границата на интердисциплинарния подход към историята – насилието и някои ключови моменти от европейското минало през призмата на един опит за историко-психологически анализ

Author(s): Dimitar Petkov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2018

The methods of the historical analysis are not sufficient to explain the past, because there is no history without psychology and there is no psychology without history. That is the main thesis of the present article. From that point of view, the author proposes an interdisciplinary explanation of the key moments from the European history, which combine the historical with psychological, as well as the philosophical analysis. These moments are: the rise of European civilization / the domination of European civilization over the rest of the world, the war and the violence that this civilization produces as a destructive force. The author tries to explain the destructive moments in the European history by means of the archetype “shadow”, which Carl Gustav Jung uses as а part of his theory for the collective unconscious. In the analyses some of Sigmund Freud’s opinions for the violence of the Human nature are used. On the base of the interdisciplinary analysis the author tries to explain the co-existence of creative and destructive principles in the course of the development of European society.

НАВИЈАЧКЕ ГРУПЕ И ЊИХОВА УЛОГА У ДРУШТВУ

Author(s): Iva Popović Knežević,Miša Vujičić / Language(s): Bosnian,Serbian Issue: 2/2017

The expressed commercialization of sports is one of the basic causes of criminal behavior in sports and “around the sports” аnd the violence in sport events is an external and the most conspicuous manifestation of criminalized sport scene. The violence carriers in the sport events are the supporting groups, characterized by a solid organization, extremism in acting, the absence of the responsibility feeling, the common actions of which cause the incidents and violence inside and outside the sport fields (courts). The violence in the sport events is connected to the appearance of hooligans in the football stadiums in England, and spreading subsequently to other countries. Since then, numerous investigations have been carried out, based on which there were established its prevalence, forms, causes and effects. However, having in mind the continuous phenomenon of this kind of violence, particularly among the youth, there is still a need for studying it. For that reason, the authors have been dealing with not the criminological aspect of this problem only, but with the criminal justice aspect, as well, with the analysis of normative solutions and their effects in suppressing this form of violence. The purpose of this paper is not only the study of the supporting groups structure and the internal organization, but also the analysis of implementation of legal solutions, not implemented at all, or insufficiently implemented, and which would, in fact, orient the supporting groups to the values, crucial for their existence.

Нагласи и социални дистанции на най-големите етнически общности в България спрямо имигранти

Author(s): Yolanda Zografova,Diana Bakalova,Antoaneta Hristova,Borian Andreev / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 4/2015

The intensified processes of mobility and migration, specifically after the accession of Bulgaria to the EU, result in increasing ethnic diversity, changing configuration of ethnic communities, and hence, complicated interethnic relations in the country. Besides the “traditional” ethnic minorities, the number of immigrant minorities, particularly from some Arab countries, is continuously increasing. The main objective and contribution of this study was to examine attitudes and social distances towards immigrants – Russians and Arabs – not only on the part of ethnic Bulgarian majority, but also on the part of the largest ethnic minorities in the country – Bulgarian Turks and Roma. The study was a part of a larger survey among 1216 respondents with ethnic Bulgarian, Bulgarian Turkish and Roma self-identification in 3 Bulgarian districts with different proportions of ethnic minorities. Attitudes towards Russians were found to be more positive, and social distances towards them – shorter, compared to those towards Arabs. Still, attitudes towards Arabs were not as negative as attitudes towards Roma, who had been known to face the severest discrimination for years. Ethnicity turned out a significant factor for attitudes and social distances towards the immigrants. The effects of perceived economic status and some socio-demographic factors were also scrutinized.

Насилието над жените като кризисно преживяване: психологическа помощ

Author(s): Teodora Stoycheva Stoeva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2020

The paper discusses two of the most common forms of violence against women: sexual and domestic, leading to serious damage not only to physical but also to mental health. Violence against women is conceptualized in the context of the concepts of "crisis" and "psychological trauma", meaningfully related to the idea of transgressing socially accepted and close to the individual views of the world and human rights, putting them in a state of extreme confusion and insecurity. The risk factors and psychological consequences of sexual and domestic violence are considered. Leading approaches to therapy and counseling of victims of violence are presented. Specific guidelines and practical advice on how to conduct psychological support activities aimed at dealing with cases of violence against women are offered. The uncovering the psychological significance and consequences of various forms of violence against women in their dynamics has important implications for the prevention, intervention and support of victims.

НАСИЉЕ У СПОРТУ

НАСИЉЕ У СПОРТУ

Author(s): Jelena Simonović / Language(s): Bosnian,Serbian Issue: 3/2018

Sport is analyzed as a symbolic dialogue and this aspect of social life is viewed upon as a unity of work and entertainment. This is not a phenomen isolated from socio- cultural occurrences as an entity, but is, on the contrary, an inclusive part of social structure and an everyday occurrence. An important feature of the modern way of life is a mass entertainment expansion, especially sport as a spectacle. Sport is considered to be a mirror of society and reflects the very best one nation possesses, but also the worst, the consequence of which is violence in sport, transferred from grandstands into the streets. Fans' violent and hooliganic behaviour before, during and after sport events is one of the more serious problems in the modern world. Sport hooliganism occurs as a problem not only in undevelopped societies, but in very developped and rich ones as well. Strengthening sport manifestations, political ideologies and street criminal encourage the development of this occurrence. Violence as an unavoidable society companion and its negative aspect, has been existing as long as society itself in general, and, although it has got independent effect and significance, it can never be viewed in isolation from its other similar occurrences, such as deviations, anomie, aggression and social clashes. Different forms of violent behaviour have been also demonstrated in the last years on public gatherings such as: political activist demonstrations, dissatisfied workers, students, nationalistic or xenophobic organisations and activists, but special attention should be devoted to violence in sport, among sports people as well as among fans.

Об истоках культа престижа в потреблении

Author(s): Veronica S. Raceeva / Language(s): Russian Issue: 6/2013

An attempt at deconstructing the modern concept of “prestige” is presented in the context of accounting for different types of socially oriented consumption strategies and the fetishization of prestige factors of consumer behavior in the contemporary world. The necessity of turning to etymological origins of the word and the phenomenon behind it was stipulated by the presence of some serious terminological inaccuracies that preceded the introduction into mass circulationof the notion “prestigious consumption” in some post-Soviet states. The detailed lexicographical analysis of the genesis of “prestige” is combined with the study of the socio-cultural context wherein the forming of the phenomenon that the word describes took place. It’s argued that such factors as absolutist monarchy principles, the aesthetic sphere and the literary (and consequently political) public domain played the key role in the gradual process of acquiring by “prestige” of its modern meaning. The undertaken analysis serves as a basis for elaborating a definition of “prestigious consumption” with an emphasis on its pronounced symbolic nature and the inevitable interdependence with the power redistribution system. An innovative categorical distinction between the concepts of “conspicuous”- and “prestigious consumption” is proposed, basing on A. Schutz’s classifi cation of motives for everyday action.

Обещанието „2020“: закони за онези, които напускат Омелас

Author(s): Stoyan Stavru / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2019

The article summarizes the main issues raised by the new regulations, proposed by the Bulgarian legislator at the end of 2018 and in the beginning of 2019as legal solutions to some of the problems of people with disabilities. Unfortunately, the search for these answers was not a legislative initiative itself, but a reaction to the “mothers protests” that lasted almost all throughout the 2018. Three laws were adopted: Disability Act: promulgated on 18.12.2018, in force since 1.01.2019; Personal Assistance Act: promulgated on 18.12.2018, in force since 1.01.2019; and the Social Services Act: promulgated on 22.03.2019, in force since 1.01.2020. The postponement of the most significant of the three laws – the Social Services Act, for the beginning of 2020 is the reason why the proposed legislative decisions should be referred to in this report as The Promise “2020”. An analysis is made of the new actors around which social services are organized and the state's efforts to ensure the protection of these rights, focusing on the regulatory lines that go through the everyday life of people with disabilities.
