The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between the reading speed and prosodic readings of the sixth grade students in the secondary school. The research is of correlational design of quantitative research methods. The population of the research consists of the sixth grade students in the secondary school in the city center of Yozgat in the academic year 2018-2019. There are a total of 418 students in the sample. In order to determine the reading speed of the sixth grade students in the secondary school, a text from the sixth grade Turkish textbook was read. In addition, prosodic reading scale was used. The average reading speed of the students was determined as x̄=104.94. In other words, the number of words that the middle school sixth grade students read aloud in one minute is 105. Audition reading scores of the sixth grade students in the secondary school x̄=2.53; S= .69. In other words, it is understood that the reading aloud processes of the sixth grade students in the middle school are at an intermediate level. In this paper we analyze the attitudes of history teachers in elementary schools of northwest Croatia towards the pupils with hearing and/or speech impairments and the pupils with speech and voice disorders in communication and specific difficulties in studying integrated into regular schools. Investigation includes 78 history teachers in some regular elementary schools of northwest region of the Republic of Croatia: City of Zagreb – West, Ivanić Grad - Zagreb county, Zaprešić – Zagreb county, Sisak. From the obtained results it is obvious that history teachers have the most favourable attitudes towards the process of integration, but they are les favourable towards the conditions of work and implementation of educational integration. The analysis of obtained results shows that history teachers have predominantly negative attitudes towards the conditions of teaching in which educational integration is carried out when a pupil with difficulties in development is in the class. The results of examination of history teachers’ attitudes are mostly uniform, i.e. there is no statistically significant difference. In northwest Croatia for some variables statistically significant difference is obtained in the sample of examinees inside the County of Zagreb.

The subject of the research is based on fundamental difficulties encountered by women with physical disability: loneliness and isolation, rejection by society, inadequate and non-stimulating job opportunities, lack of information among general public about problems and needs of disabled persons, poor social integration. In accord with the subject of the research, main research aim has been defined – establishing a relationship between the degree of coordination disorder and quality of family life in the lives of disabled women. The research was carried out during 2003 and was based on an appropriate sample of 140 women aged 18 to 60, from different parts of Croatia, suffering from various stages of coordination disorder. For the purpose of this research the respodents were classified into three groups according to different kinds of coordination disorders: respondents with cerebral paralysis, those suffering from neuromuscular diseases, as well as the respodents with other coordination disorders (amputation, cerebral multi-trauma, spinal injuries, multiple scleroses). The questionnaire used in the research, titled “ Status of disabled women in Croatia” is based on the questionnaire “Status of disabled women in Hungary today – in the 21 st century”. The research used factor analysis under component model and discriminative analysis. Based on the research on a suitable sample of respodents it has been concluded that there is a correlation between the degree of coordination disorder and quality of family life in lives of disabled women as there is statistically significant difference. The research will have practical uses un forming strategies for a new global model adapted for disabled persons with purpose to enable them to lead the independent lives and to promote their active integration into society.

This paper is part of scientific project named „Monitoring the abuse of addiction substances in the population of secondary school students in Dubrovačko-neretvanska county“. Since 2001 Dubrovačko-neretvanska County Institute for Public Health has implemented (conducted) and financed the above mentioned project. The research sample consists of representative sample of all secondary schools’ students in Dubrovačko-neretvanska county who anonymously filled in the questionnaire „How are you? “ (autor: Petar Bezinović) in spring 2006 (N = 1485). The research focus was to analyze the connection of alcohol abuse and the experience of school environment as well as school obligations. The research aim was to analyze the connection between alcohol abuse and school environment. This would help us detect possible predictor values of the young functioning in school, in order to estimate the risk of their growth and development. The findings suggest that the school environment and school obligations are statistically significantly related to alcohol abuse. The more serious forms of alcohol abuse are connected with less favorable experience of the school environment and with lower engagement in fulfilling the school obligations. In short, on the bases of the youth’s functioning in school, it is possible to foresee growing up risk factors and prevent the possible alcohol abuse. That, however, implies thorough changes in Croatian education system

All Hungarian educational establishments in Southern Slovakia are struggling with competition, which is primarily the exhausting effect of the Slovak institutional system. While looking for a solution to competition, it is now clear that the strengthening of Hungarian schools can only be promoted by improving the quality of their education. Due to the new educational methods, the improvement of teaching and learning conditions and the technological equipment of schools, Hungarian institutions can now better compete with Slovak schools. The objective of this study is to examine the situation of the Hungarian small primary schools. The first part of the study characterizes the types of small schools and the trends in small schools in Southern Slovakia with charts. The last part introduces a good example for a small school in Karva (Kravany nad Dunajom), a village on the bank of the Danube. In Slovakian villages with Hungarian population small schools are the “last bastions” of local Hungarian cultural life. It seems important to expand the cooperation of small schools with the central school of this Southern Slovakian rural region and to deepen the quality indicators of personalized education in them.

This paper approaches museums possibilities to mediate culture from the perspective of adult learning. In this context it briefly outlines academic achievements of the past decades in the field of museum andragogy and sets forth the opportunities offered by the latest trends in interactive learning. The focal point of the theme is the fact that the paradigm shift of museums has recently generated museum andragogy aspirations. The key point is that museums, museum-type institutions, and organizations in charge of protecting and preserving cultural heritage attempt to create more and more opportunities for adult learning. The central issue of the renewal of museums is that the previous passively receptive type of visits is replaced with a wide range of actively receptive forms of learning.

As the most obvious provision of social media in the individual world, „selfie“ is confronted ata point where self-confidence is increased or lost. Nowadays, the use of social media startsat a very early age, and self efficacy beliefs are also developing at an early age. However, themadness of selfie is becoming more of an „infantilized“ action. Thus, it can be argued thatit functions as a counterfeit of the self and serves as a mirror in the individual’s world. It isalso true that this „new or pseudo mirror“, which shows us both to ourselves and to others, also raises concerns about perceptual development, curiosity and visibility in the era of selfdiscovery throughout the developmental process. The concept of self-reflection and „selfie“in its social media term emerges at a point where the individual’s internal communication isbroken. It brings a „dual-dyadic“ concept on one hand and a „triad theory“ on the other. Thestudy aims to analyze „selfie“ madness in social media, providing examples and assumptionswithin the framework of these theoretical discussions. The study aims to add new dimensionsto the concept of self portrayals of individuals within national and international examples in thelight of current media scrutiny.
