Žiaci z cudzojazyčného prostredia s prejavmi dysgrafie a dysortografie
Causes, remedies, individual approach towards pupils with developmental learning disabilities are in the focus of interest of various professionals. Although the pathopsychological and special-educational point of view is dominant. Current educational trends are in favour of inclusion. But there might occur some challenge after a school attendance onset. What if a child, admitted to a school, does not understand Slovak language? Such challenges need to be treated mainly in border areas and areas, where there is high density of population with Roma origin and their first language is Romany. However, there is a minority group of immigrants that is forgotten. Is a school able to effectively optimize educational process towards a child in order to mitigate the impact of trauma from sudden migration alongside the impacts of learning disabilities? In the presented paper we bring the results from research conducted in the cooperation with Migration Bureau of the Slovak republic. The three-phased research was implemented in the asylum centre in central Slovakia within the research sample consisted of three children manifesting symptoms of developmental learning disabilities.
