Intézményi és szülői szempontok az óvodaválasztásban

Intézményi és szülői szempontok az óvodaválasztásban

Author(s): Viktória Ferenc,Emese Vita / Language(s): Hungarian Issue: 1/2019

Parents play an important role in kindergarten choice, and their decisions are directly affected by attractive institutional services. In a minority context, this decision often means a choice between mother tongue medium education or state language medium education, which in the long run could mean a choice between identity maintenance or assimilation. In the process of elaborating institutional development, maintaining the dialogue between parents and institutions is crucially important. The paper examines how the parental and institutional perspectives differ in the case of kindergarten choice and how the relation between the partners develop afterwards. First, the study is based on an online survey among the leaders of Hungarian kindergartens outside of Hungary (734 questionnaires). Second, 1,977 paper-based questionnaires were completed by parents who had chosen Hungarian kindergartens for their children in the minority context. The comparison of the two databases shows us, among other things, that the quality of the pedagogic work, the personality, and qualifications of the teachers are the most important pull factors in kindergarten choice.

INKLUZIVNO OBRAZOVANJE I SOCIJALIZACIJA DJECE

Author(s): Milijana Prorok / Language(s): Bosnian,Croatian,Serbian Issue: 6/2021

Inclusion as an approach based on the principles of respect for the human rights of the individual refers to the process of increasing the participation of people and children with special needs in local communities, schools and other public institutions. Inclusive education is just one aspect of inclusion. Inclusive practices of educating children with special needs have expanded significantly in recent years, but there are still significant limitations in the implementation of such education. Inclusion in education is an integral part of a unique social movement, which emerged in the second half of the twentieth century in the countries of Western democracies. The preschool institution should provide an opportunity for developmental competencies, both for children of typical development and for children who need additional help and support in development. Positive attitudes towards inclusive work, motivation for work, personality traits, as well as the need for permanent development and improvement of various types of competence, social - emotional, cognitive, etc. contribute to a better understanding of the issue and professional work of educators. The quality of early childhood education is an important pedagogical and sociological issue, especially when children with disabilities are included in educational groups. In order to improve inclusive practice in preschool institutions, material resources and professional training of educators are necessary through training and cooperation with professional associates. This first step in inclusive upbringing and education provides educators with the resources, knowledge and skills to work with children with special needs.

Розвиток пластичних здібностей дітей-аутистів засобами танцюмодерн в умовах сучасних культурно-мистецьких практик

Author(s): Oksana Mykolayivna Gavelya,Tamara Drach / Language(s): Ukrainian Issue: 39/2021

The purpose of the article is to determine the methods of developing the creative abilities of autistic children by modern choreography. Methodology: in our work, we used systematic and comparative methods, as well as problem and analytical analysis of the literature to study methods of developing autistic children through art therapy and choreography, to improve their plastic capabilities and study the latest trends in art and psychology. Scientific novelty. The question of the development of creative abilities of autistic children by art therapy has already been studied in modern literature, but the novelty of the research it’s the first attempt to determine methods of developing plastic abilities of children with autism by means of modern dance. Due to the research, we have identified methods for developing the creative abilities of autistic children by means of modern choreography, in particular - modern dance. On the one hand, the focus of modern pedagogy is on people with special needs who receive additional permanent or temporary support in the educational process in order to ensure their right to education. On the other hand, much less importance is given to meeting the needs of children with autism by involving them in modern cultural and artistic practices. Although, in our opinion, it provides much more opportunities for adaptation of people with special needs, the development of their desire for beauty. Our research art and cultural attention have focused on the development of plastic abilities of autistic children by means of modern dance in modern cultural and artistic practices. Conclusions: we determined that it is important to develop the plastic abilities of such children, although it is very difficult to teach such child to dance professionally, it is possible to develop the choreographic grace of movements. In the course of our research, we analyzed the available scientific materials on autism and identified the behavior of autistic children, and explored the possibilities of using modern dance in the development of autistic children as one of the means of developing their creative abilities.

Zastupljenost i funkcije konektora i u dječjem pripovjednom diskursu

Author(s): Sara Košutar,Gordana Hržica / Language(s): Croatian Issue: 91/2021

And is the first and most frequent connective in the narrative development, as well as in the acquisition of complex syntax. Previous research within the form–function approach confirms that the connective and encodes different meanings in children’s discourse and thus serves as a major mechanism for the acquisition of new forms and meanings. In early narrative development, and is also used in the descriptive, picture–to–picture mode, the use of which is abandoned as children grow older. The present study aims to investigate differences in the frequency of form and functions of and in the narratives of preschool and early school-age children. Narrative samples of 120 children (30 of 4–, 6–, 8– and 10–years olds) were retrieved from the Croatian narrative corpus Frog, where are you?. Connectives from the corpus were classified according to the semantic relations they express (succession, simultaneity, cause, opposition) and their descriptive function. Differences were found in the proportions of the connective and in relation to the total number of communication units. The proportions of the connective and decrease with age such that they form an inverted U–curve. The semantic and descriptive functions of and also differ. The proportions of the connective and in sequential and causal meanings change with age in a way that mirrors the inverted U–curve, whereas the proportion of and in simultaneity shows stagnation, followed by a marked increase after the age of eight. Only early preschool children use the connective and to produce descriptions based on single pictures. Our results are consistent with previous studies that showed that early language devices for establishing relations in the discourse enable the acquisition of new forms and functions.

Diagnosis of the Formation of Grammatical Aspects of Speech in Preschool Age

Diagnosis of the Formation of Grammatical Aspects of Speech in Preschool Age

Author(s): Kateryna Kruty,Antonina Minenok,Iryna Morozova,Tetiana-Yelyzaveta Tsapenko,Oleksandr Kozynets,Serhii Korniev / Language(s): English Issue: 4/2021

The article theoretically substantiates and experimentally verifies the validity of the developed diagnostics by the method of contrast groups. The relevance of such a study is determined by the lack of development of the problem of diagnosing grammatical aspects of speech in preschool age for Slavic (inflected by nature) languages. It is proved that for a preschool child in the first stages there is no speech activity separately from the subject, so the object of its orientation is not speech activity, but a single semantic whole, an event that is presented in a sentence (sometimes a phrase, discourse). In the following stages, the child's attitude to speech reality changes. This reality is already special, different from the subject. For all stages of speech and speech development of the child is typical limited and unstable nature of orientation to certain aspects of linguistic reality, when the pre-schooler focuses on either the semantic or formal side of speech. At the end of the senior preschool age, gender differences in children's use of adjectives are the most significant. The reason for the active use in speech of adjectives by girls we see both in the psychological characteristics and gender guidelines of adults around them (active use of nouns and adjectives with hypocritical-diminutive suffixes).

ÇOCUKLARDA KLASİK GİTAR BASLANGIÇ EĞİTİMİ: THIERRY TISSERAND’IN “JE DEVIENS GUITARISTE VOL.1” METODUNUN İNCELENMESİ

Author(s): Ceren Baran / Language(s): Turkish Issue: 82/2021

For children, musical education is considered as an essential need since it supports psychomotor development and provides children with an environment, where they can freely express themselves. Classical guitar is a polyphonic instrument that is widely used in musical education and, as with other instruments, it necessitates a certain level of learning discipline. The objective of the present study is to examine the « Je deviens guitariste Vol.1 » guitar method developed by Thierry Tisserand, being a composer and guitarist and affected by jazz, bossa nova, and other music genres, for children, who have no solfeggio knowledge and are having the first guitar education from scratch, and to reveal on which aspects of early-age guitar education this method has effects. The present research is a descriptive study providing a situation assessment and is based on general survey model. This qualitative study uses various document and content analysis methods. The data were obtained by analyzing this method’s contributions to the educational process and by reviewing the literature. Based on the findings obtained as a result of this research, how contributions that this method could offer for resolving the possible problems that might be observed in early-age guitar education are discussed and suggestions are provided for educator and method.

Tranziția inechitabilă către sistemul liceal. Studiu de caz: admiterea la liceu în București, România

Author(s): Andreea Gheba / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 2/2021

The main objective of this article is to analyze the interaction between the principle of proximity in the enrollment process to primary school and the high school admission mechanism from an educational equity perspective. Specifically, I conduct a case study in which I analyze how the type of school graduated by a student in Bucharest influences the type of high school at which she will be admitted, given the present system of allocation. As such, I am interested in identifying the extent to which the school where the student is enrolled (when parents, theoretically cannot choose, as it is dependent on the street where they reside) can represent an explanatory factor for the probability to be admitted at a particular high school (a stage when parents and students can manifest their preferences for a school/specialization).

Oportunități de optimizare a serviciilor socioeducaționale de sprijin accesibile elevilor cu dificultăți de învățare în ciclul primar

Author(s): Rita Orban,Gavril Flora / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 2/2021

In Romania, since 1989, new trends have emerged in terms of transforming the educational system, so that it becomes accessible to all and offers equal opportunities for the beneficiaries of education. The aim of this research is to provide a multidimensional image of the socio-educational support environment accessible to students with learning difficulties/specific learning disabilities integrated in mainstream primary education in Oradea, from the perspective of the information, opinions and visions provided by primary education teachers and special pedagogues. The questionnaire based survey conducted among teachers in mainstream education allowed to obtain an overview of the issues analyzed in terms of opinions and evaluations. The focus group interview with participation of expert stakeholders aimed to obtain information from the social actors involved through their expertise and/or professional activity in the educational inclusion of students with learning difficulties. The overall picture of the research denotes that schools can provide specialized educational services for students in need, with only a small minority of schools not having the necessary conditions to provide these services. However, the research also shows that due to lack of knowledge or motivation, a significant share of the surveyed teachers do not use the various compensatory measures put forward in the national methodological recommendations that would contribute to improving students' chances. Primary school teachers would need, in this regard, to gain more expert knowledge from innovative models, experiences and good practices in the field.

MULTIDIMENSINIS POŽIŪRIS Į MIKČIOJIMO VERTINIMĄ IR ĮVEIKIMĄ

Author(s): Rita Kantanavičiūtė / Language(s): Lithuanian Issue: 1 (47)/2017

A multidimensional structure of stuttering explains the interaction between various factors and determines their individual features. Stuttering is often understood as a speech fluency disorder ignoring its components and structure. A detailed assessment of the child’s stuttering helps provide stuttering exit strategies and aid modalities. Researchers’ differently define stuttering, as psychogenic, neurogenic, learned behaviour disorder. Research aim is to provide a multidimensional structure of stuttering and its use for the assessment and treatment of stuttering in preschool age children. Research results revealed that a multidimensional approach to stuttering, its assessment and treatment corresponds to the CALMS model, which includes cognitive, affective, linguistic, motor and social components. The CALMS model explains how educational elements can be applied to teaching children with mild and severe stuttering. A multidimensional approach to stuttering can be recommended when planning and providing stuttering treatment in preschool age children.

Author(s): Goda Stonkuvienė / Language(s): Lithuanian Issue: 2 (46)/2016

In today’s increasingly globalized world, people need to quickly adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Change underpins constant and continuous social and personal development. A person’s attitude towards lifelong learning plays an important role and ensures the process goes smoothly. Each person should be able to learn independently, analyse and reflect experience, seek knowledge in professional activities or the areas of interest. To do that systematically and consistently a person has to master learning to learn abilities and start developing them from preschool age. In the context of lifelong learning, the importance of preschool age is emphasised in the European agenda for education as well as in Lithuania’s documents on preschool and pre-primary education. In the context of learning to learn, document analysis allows the author to state that there is almost no direct mention of preschool education in Lithuania’s national policy on education although, speaking about a need for and the ability to learn through one’s life, this stage of education is of prime importance within the importance of other stages of education. EU and Lithuania’s document analysis on education may serve as the grounds for in-depth research into children’s ability to learn at the preschool and/or pre-primary education stage at a theoretical and empirical level and the (self)education of learning to learn of higher quality.

Author(s): Petro Boichuk,Nataliia Ivanova,Nataliia Denysenko,Alla Bliashevska,Sergiy Marchuk,Nadiia Knight / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2022

The article studies the use of principles of Friedrich Froebel’s pedagogy in the context of digital technologies implemented in the post-Soviet countries, in particular, in Ukraine. It also presents student opinions on the effectiveness of Frobel’s didactic materials aimed at developing children’s ability to participate in productive activity, which is of particular importance today. Besides, the article provides recommendations on the use of the author’s word-based games in Ukrainian and English. These games were prepared by a team of teachers from Lutsk Pedagogical College (Ukraine) in a mini textbook, titled “Froebel’s Ideas in Action: Theory and Practice of the Present”. The article shows how the cloud-based online service ‘Prezi’ can be used to master ways of using the Froebel gifts when working with children of preschool and younger school age. Finally, the article proves that information technologies can help one to create educational materials to improve the use of the Froebel gifts in preschools, as well as in the New Ukrainian school.
