La poezia di Fan S. Noli si può dire che raggiunga il massimo dell’impegno, così come la poesia del suo contemporaneo Lasgush Poradeci raggiunge il massimo della libertà o dell’autonomia. Però la poesia del Noli si riallaccia alla lunga tradizione della “letteratura impegnata” albanese che cambia colore, ma non l’essenza interna che vuole il poeta maestro, educatore, vate o tribuno. Maggiormente didattica ai suoi inizi, transformante poi con maestria d’arte l ’ideologico nell’estetico, questa letteratura resta fedele a sé stessa nell’autodefinirsi maestra di ideali, siano questi religiosi, patriottici, filosofici, sociali. È caratteristico che questo accade anche in mezzo alla grande varietà degli anni Venti, Trenta e Quaranta in cui s ’incontrano, si scontrano, si intrecciano e si fondono diverse ideologie ed elementi di diverse correnti letterarie.

Le Missel de Gjon Buzuku constitue le premier livre connu jusqu’à ce jour selon la tradition des études sur l’histoire de l’écriture en albanais. Réalisé en 1555 sous la forme d’un bref texte où l’on retrouve quelques données sur l’auteur et les circonstances dans lesquelles il a réalisé l’ouvrage en question, le Missel représente une source intarissable de données pour toute une série de disciplines scientifiques, allant de la philologie des textes anciens en albanais jusqu’à celles linguistiques et historiques, comme la morphologie historique et l’histoire de la langue écrite albanaise. Cet auteur occupe en effet une place d’honneur parmi une pléiade d’écrivains qui ont fait l’histoire de la littérature écrite en albanais. Une série d’études ont été consacrées à ce primum opus des textes écrits en albanais. N’étant pas seulement spécialisées, elles visent aussi à situer le livre de Buzuku dans un contexte historique plus large qui est lié à l’histoire de l’Albanie, mais aussi à celle de l’Église romane de l’époque, dont l’influence s ’étendait également sur les territoires albanais.

Cette synthèse n’était possible qu’à un scientifique de son envergure, rare non seulement sur le plan national, mais aussi sur le plan balkanique, compte tenu de son érudition et de sa profonde connaissance de la culture et des études européennes dans le domaine de l’albanologie.

Esad Mekuli’s poetry since its publication in the first years after Second World War had a special reception because it was addressed to people who for the first time were hearing the voice of its creator. This was a populist reception, which was then raised to the level of literary criticism by critics. How was read Esad Mekuli’s poetry yesterday, the answer to this question will shed the light on poem’s traditional reading, with all consignments of the time that carries this reading, while the new reading of his poetry, today, is a reading out of the context when it was written, it will be a reading discharged from those consignments, the one that will halt to the literary values of the text giving it longevity of a poetic creation. However, is it possible to avoid the context of the time in which the poet created; the first of Albanian poetry in Kosovo? No matter how much attempt is made to avoid the context of the time when Esad Mekuli has created, a complete escape from it is almost impossible. Esad Mekuli is people’s poet, such a notion today is both, impossible and meaningless.

Gli anni Trenta, storicamente un periodo di crisi politica, sociale, economica per l’Albania, rappresentavano stranamente, al contrario, un vero periodo aureo per la letteratura albanese che taglia definitivamente il cordone ombelicale che la legava ai miti risorgimentali e post-risorgimentali di idealizzazione dell’Albania e del carattere albanese e raggiunge una nuova maturità di pensiero e di livello estetico. In questo periodo si consolida definitivamente nella letteratura albanese il realismo critico e si disintegra il romanticismo che aveva caratterizzato la letteratura del Risorgimento insieme agli elementi del sentimentalismo che si erano manifestati alla fine dell’Ottocento ed all’inizio del Novecento.

“Shrew-mole years” by Kim Mehmeti is an ex-centric novel in the postmodern sense of the word. According to Linda Hutcheon, such novels are the result of focusing on local entities that removes the center in the margins and brings the margins in the center. “Shrewmole years” moves the event and the characters from the center, aiming in this way the conversion of the local in center in the narration. The ex-centric inevitably has been identified with the center that he intends, but also denies. The isolated people with their desires and fears to know the world creates the subject of the novel as a metaphor, where the local embarks on a bizarre relationship with the global.
