Author(s): Kastriot Gjika / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 01-02/2015

It is said and believed, in up to date studies, that the “kutelian” literature (especially the prose) is structured as modern literature. One of the features of which is the presence in its stylistic composition, of some phenomena and aspects of orality. In fact, it is only mentioned this feature, because in reality, our studies on orality have been and still are incomplete. Even in this author’s case, treating him as a modern prose author, has conditioned the study of orality not only as a point of view, but even as a pragmatic way of investigating these texts’ compositions. Studying for a long time the narrative texts of Kuteli, I’ve come to the conclusion that the axis of orality (agreeing that his work is not only multidimensional, but multi-axial too) it is even more essential and inherent than we could have noticed until now. There are many testimonies to prove this hypothesis and our work takes on to investigate them.

Dritëro Agolli, prêtre de Dionysos

Author(s): Aleksander Zoto / Language(s): French / Issue: 01/2015

Author(s): Myrvete Dreshaj-Baliu / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 46/2016

The object of this study is the contribution of Professor Idriz Ajeti in the field of literature and his didactic views in designing textbooks for this field. Many research studies have been made about his contributions that were focused in many fields and aspects of albanology, however it is not difficult to notice that from the rich bibliography his contribution in the field of literature was “excluded” in all cases. Therefore, my approach to this phenomenon has a special incentive: Adem Demaçi’s story in the novel "“Dashuria kuantike e Filanit”, about Professor Idriz Ajeti, as a model of a patriot teacher with perfect methods. This story prompted the research in his early bio-bibliography, which resulted in the recognition of two textbooks, Libër të leximit [Reading Book] and Antologji e letërsisë shqipe [Anthology of Albanian literature], and their substantive and conceptual structure.

ESTETIKA E IDENTITETIT TË RIGJETUR

Author(s): Rexhep Qosja / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 44/2014

Author(s): Ag Apolloni / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 7/2016

In this analyze are identified 33 figures to see how Ismail Kadare remained a poet even when he wrote novel. The purpose has been to evidence the figures, considering the proposal of Gérard Genette’s of the narrowing the stylistics in figuratique, through which will be analyzed the figurative functionality of this novel, the validity of which of course it can never be judged by the reference value, but from the figurative importance. The illustration of the essential elements of this novel is made possible by these 33 figures, through which is filtered the narration for the Calvary of the general, who is presented to us with a holy mission as a comic Christ.

Author(s): Anila Omari / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 01-02/2016

The article presents an overview of the current state of Albanian textual philology, with a focus on older Albanian texts (XVI-XVIII centuries). In the first part of the article, after briefly explaining the denotations of the term philology in Albanian linguistics, the study takes a historical look at the beginnings of Albanian philology with the discovery of the first book written in Albanian, Gjon Buzuku’s Missale (1555), by archbishop Gjon Nikollë Kazazi (1743). A contemplation of the publishing activity of old texts in the years '30-'40 is then presented, followed by later work in the '50s, ending with the rich publishing activity of recent years in the field of textual philology of Albanian texts. In the second part of the article, the author focuses on the implementation of scientific philological methods in recent critical editions, which are created according to the principles of modern philology and the ecdotic method, implemented by the Albanian linguist Eqrem Çabej in his critical edition of Buzuku’s Missale.

Author(s): Adil Olluri / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 46/2016

Ymer Shkreli is one of the best novelists of contemporary Albanian literature. But, unfortunately, his novels are very little known and studied. So, the analysis of his novelistic work is at first a research on values of an author who was unjustly neglected by Albanian researchers and critics. He is the author of a series of novels with the formal and stylistic variety and with numerous ideas and thematic layers. His novels have distinct specifications in relation to the works of this kind in Albanian literature. In addition, narrative particularity of this author is that each of his novels is different from the other, as in plan of style and form, also in terms of ideas and world-conception.

Gjuha shkencore e Bajram Krasniqit

Author(s): Shefkije Islamaj / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 45/2015

Author(s): Izaim Murtezani / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 45/2015

This paper tries to address the subject of hierogamy, or its tracks that can be detected within the content of some Albanian tales. It is known that the classical hierogamy means the sacred marriage between deities with opposite principles, namely between the male who is identified with Heaven, and female identified with Earth. A hierogamy of this nature, in treated tales is realized between the sun and the moon as adequate substitutes of Heaven and Earth. The sun, but also the moon is presented in the role of a married couple who communicate sexually between them and as a re-sult of this action affect childbearing by human couples who have problems in having descendants. These children, because they are the fruit of an extraordinary birth, re-spectively of the impact of the sun and the moon at their birth, are meant to possess superhuman traits.

Gremina e dashunis - romani “mozaik” i Mustafa Greblleshit

Author(s): Laura Smaqi / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 01-02/2015

The novel “Gremina e dashunis” remains for our reader an unknown and not treated work in our studies for about 70 years, after its first and unique edition in Albania. This novel was published in 1944 from the Publishing House “Ismail Mal’Osmani”. It is the third novel composed in the form of a diary, during the period 1935-1944. After its edition, the novel was a successful work, like two others: “Nga jeta ne jetë. Pse?!” and “Sikur të isha djalë”. Whenever it is written on previous novels in a diary form (it is about the novels created during the years of ‘30), it is stressed the reason of writing in this way, the authors’ opinion about the social aspects of the life and problems of time, the sentimentalism of these works. But it is left out of attention the fact that relations person - society are shown not only in strong social messages. They are shown in artistic structure of speech too. The social debate enters inside of the private debate. The reports between private writing, poetic description and the speech that unites publicity, rhetoric with its elements, social program, debate and propaganda, are different on the pages of this work, giving a mosaical structure to the novel. The presence of such a structure is understood since the initial combination between the novel in the first person and the novel in a diary form. And afterwards, with frequent passings from the personal speech, which is typical for a diary to the impersonal one, typical for publicity and rhetoric.

Author(s): Luan Starova / Language(s): French / Issue: 1/2017

In 1903, on the road of exile, Albanian prolific and versatile author Faik Konica met a kindred spirit, Guillaume Apollinaire. The chronicle the latter published on 20 August 1903 in L'Européen Weekly and entitled War on French words in Germany would become the starting point of almost a decade of correspondence between the two men of letters. These relations would take place in a period that would become significant for their future development. In fact, their cordiality would go so far that Apollinaire would visit Konica and stay at his London home on two occasions (in November 1903 and in May 1904). Apollinaire had understood well the “double persona” Faik Konica used in his literary work: one pseudonym for his works directed towards European aestheticism, and another for the ones directed towards Balkan militancy. Konica wanted to anchor his homeland Albania in Europe, and to bring it back to where it rightfully belonged after five centuries of Orientalisation in Ottoman Asia, meeting on his way the poetry magician of Europe and of the “aesthetic of differences”. The result of the effort was that relations between Apollinaire and Konica were not random and anecdotal. They derived from deep affinities that could not be neglected. The friendship of these two “uproots” could develop and could last so long only because of the European dream they both shared.

Hapësira letrare në romanet e Ismail Kadaresë

Hapësira letrare në romanet e Ismail Kadaresë

Author(s): Gëzim Aliu / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 7/2016

The purpose of this work is the delineation of the “map” in the literary narrative space of Kadare’s novels, published during the period 1963-1990.The narrative map of these novels has two main textual space dimensions: the referential literary dimension and the fictional literary dimension. Both these dimensions, in some novels of the author expand into a third dimension, which we might call symbolic spatial dimension. The first dimension is built referring to the real places and objects, sites of real objects, whereas the second dimension is built referring to the imaginary places and objects. The two dimensions are composed by interior spaces (closed) and exterior spaces (opened).

Hiperteksti alegorik i Kadaresë

Hiperteksti alegorik i Kadaresë

Author(s): Saranda Buzhala / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 9/2016

Kadare makes the passing of the myth of Prometheus in different genders, enabling us as researchers to draw a trajectory from the story, trilogy to the drama so we can see the trans models. “Dull Season in Olympus” is utterly an allegory that in many parts of the text - controversial and sensitive situations - gives us the opportunity of making an analogy with personal life of the author. Kadare found it impossible to lee the time in which he lived and which made him experience a lot of sentences as an author. Therefore, the allegory, allusions and irony wear the reality of the Kadarean time. Through taking, recontextualization and remodeling of the forms and myths, his drama will be departed from that of antiquity with the rules and ideology. Finally, Kadare’s works possess what is called universality which makes the work readable and receptive at any time.

Homazh për alamiadon (Romani “Haxhiu i Frakullës” i Vath Koreshit)

Author(s): Orjela Stafasani / Language(s): Albanian / Issue: 46/2016

The novel "Haxhi of Frakulla" of Vath Koreshi, published in 1980 by the publishing house "Naim Frasheri", belongs to the first period of Koreshi’s opus, the one of socialist realism, but stays away from the socialist dogma. The author builds the novel as a hypertext on alamiado literary texts, suggesting to the readers knowledge about that cultural context. The poetic language, the oriental style and the intertext as quotation, reference and allusion pay homage to the alamiado literature developed in XVIII-XIX century in Albania.

Author(s): Genti PUKA / Language(s): Italian / Issue: 10/2015

The case of Kadare and censorship in communist countries. The article re-evaluates the role of the self-censorship in the literature of the communist countries using as a case-study the work and the interviews of the most famous albanian writer of XX century Ismail Kadare. Kadare tries to move the conflict center between him and his detractors on the – more convenient for him – ground of comparison between the real and the secondo class literature, calling him out of the discussion about him and his work in terms of dissent. The article argues that the role of the self-censorship has been conveniently overlooked by him and that such role connveniently overlooked and that such role establishes the real value of Kadare social-realism works.
