The short story The lucky Mill develops just like the fairy tale, the theme of confrontation between Good and Evil, which coexists within man. Similar to the classical fairy tale, Slavici’s short story includes elements of recurrence aiming to the symmetry between the incipit – the end, the symbolic significance of topos, the magic numbers, the names which manage to shape the image of confrontation between the two binary principles: the positive and the negative.
