LE DISCOURS JURIDIQUE: ASPECTS NORMATIFS ET PERFORMATIFS

Author(s): Eugenia Stefanescu / Language(s): French Issue: 1-2/2011

The purpose of this paper is to present the different functions assigned to the legal discourse, to see how to structure legal discourse, to measure how the performative structure allows unification of law and then clarify the differences between the performatives of ordinary discourse and those of legal discourse. The concept of discourse has acquired many meanings in everyday language and the discourse of experts claiming various fields. In our case it is the legal field, an area to which this paper is devoted. Law is a discipline that is directly concerned with the theory of speech acts whose promoter was J. L. Austin.

Author(s): Dina Mantcheva / Language(s): French Issue: 1/2017

Bulgarian Modernist drama is discussed in the context of the two most representative traditions in European Symbolist theatre – the Francophone and the Slavonic (Russian and Polish) ones – to point out its aesthetic similarities and specific originality. The analysis focuses on the principles underlying the selection and structuring of the two types of folklore plots (fairy tales and legends), used on all stages where idealistic plays have been produced. The study charts out the similar interpretations of the popular basis and its structural importance in all modes of writings. However, the national and social connotations in Bulgarian theatre, inspired by its own cultural context, differ from the Francophone metaphysical forms and mark out its relationship with the Russian and Polish versions. Finally, Bulgarian plays strengthen the eclecticism, characteristic of the Slavonic stage, and make use of some vanguard trends (parody, ambiguity, buffoonery), which transgress certain aesthetical postulates and announce the further evolution of the European stage tradition.

L’innovation pédagogique

Author(s): Jamal El Kafi / Language(s): French Issue: 3/2017

Author(s): Svetlana Ananieva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 3/2017

The author presents leading trends and main directions in the development of Kazakh and world literature, revealed in collective monographs, whose authors are literary critics and critics of the most authoritative scientific centers in the world. According to them, new horizons, new artistic themes, literary forms and styles appear in prose. The real literary process overcomes the situation of schism in national literatures, including the foreign underground. Inconceivability as a concept, emigration as a creative strategy in the context of multilingualism leads to the formation of transcontinental literature, to the literature of the “European home”. Against the backdrop of the obvious strengthening of the position of modern literature, there are opinions and concerns about the fact that the diversity of literary development leads to its disappearance, to the blurring of borders.

The paper focuses on the novel “Uncles” in the context of Vazov‘s poetry and prose of the 80s of the nineteenth century. Emphasis is placed on speaking in the story. It argues that through the words the characters say their claims of self-importance. They can talk about everything, because their words did not originate anything. Another commented thesis is the metamorphosis of uncles, traced in “Uncles” and the novel “Under the Yoke” and Vazov concept of philosophy of history.

Author(s): Mina Hubenova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 4/2017

This paper attempts to put forward some problems of foreign language teaching in relation to cross-cultural communication. The introduction of cross-cultural issues in foreign language teaching is a logical consequence of the integrative tendencies which are getting more and more popular. The new circumstances require a different attitude towards the learners They should be viewed as subjects of their own culture on the one hand, and as representatives of the foreign culture through the language studied, on the other hand. The problem is discussed in terms of its cognitive, emotional and pragmatic dimensions. The acquisition of proper language communication is placed within the context of cross-cultural education.

Author(s): Krasimira Angelova Chakarova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 4/2017

The research paper focuses on the question of the typology of functional semantic fields in the contemporary Bulgarian language. In the analysis comments have been made on A. V. Bondarko and I. Kutsarov’s popular classification models of FSF in the Russian and Bulgarian languages, emphasizing on some problematic parts in the points of view of the two authors. The new classification of FSF presented in the exposition is based on several main criteria: 1) a sphere of functioning; 2) presence/ absence of a structural centre (nucleus); 3) structure of the field periphery; 4) a degree of the functional autonomy; 5) semantic scope. There are arguments in favour of the belief that FSF build microfields not only around the marked members of the nucleus – the morphological category, but also around the unmarked members (having both general and main meaning).

Author(s): Andreana Eftimova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 4/2017

The article examines the concept of the functional semantic-stylistic category (FSSC) the introduction of which is the result of the development of functional direction in linguistics, particularly functional grammar and Bondarko’s theory of functional-semantic categories and fields. The interest through FSSC axiology and evaluation was prompted by the awareness of language as a space in which the structures of knowledge, opinions, beliefs and imagination are associated with evaluation. The place and role of lexical-stylistic means are outlined in the field of evaluation and axiology.

Author(s): Elisaveta Balabanova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 4/2017

The text uses the Functional Grammar of M. A. K. Halliday (Halliday, 1985; Halliday & Mathiessen, 2004) and the definition of Halliday as the topic being this that the speaker decides to make a starting point of his message. Using this definition in a corpus, comprising of only first paragraphs of contemporary Bulgarian fiction, we make conclusions about which sentence parts are most commonly used as a topic. A hierarchy of the most common sentence parts, which function as topic, is defined. The conclusions show that the referentiality and the syntactic features of the sentence elements are the reasons for an element to function as a topic.
