This article represents an interactive binary lesson that took place in 90 minutes with students from the eleventh grade of Language High School “Akad. Ljudmil Stoianov”, Blagoevgrad. It shows a combination of informational technology, music (the transition between the different parts is piano music and the recital is accompanied by a violin) and Bulgarian language and literature. It also has the characteristics of a conference lesson, because it consists of texts of the students, their literature teachers and DSc, Prof. Tsvetan Rakiovsky. The preparation of the recital relies on out-of-school activities (acting school, led by missis Julia Djivdjorska, an actress in the “N. Vaptzarov” theatre. Having taken place in honor of the 100-th anniversary of the death of Hristo Smirnenski, the lesson included projects, consisting of a Power point presentation and a text prepared by a team of two students. Teachers and students switched their roles, and the parents watched the presentation of their children.

The article discusses the connections between classical rhetoric and speech act theory of John Austin and John Searle, with regard to genre and interpretive research on occasional works of early Slovak literature. It builds on the traditional aims of rhetoric and the role of the rhetorician (in the spirit of Aristotle, Marcus Fabius Quintilianus, and Marcus Tullius Cicero), as well as on insights into the connections between Aristotelian kinds of rhetoric and the typology of illocutionary acts highlighted by Walter H. Beale, Emmanuelle Danblon, and Cristina Pepe. The author applies selected tools proposed by Teun A. van Dijk for research into the pragmatics of literary communication: the notion of the indirect speech act in relation to the functional syncretism of early literature and the notion of the macro-speech-act in relation to the communicative function of the literary text as a whole. The article aims at defining occasional literary works on the basis of their pragmatic function and to characterise selected genres of occasional literature (supported by older theory of poetic and rhetorical theory). Following the work of the intellectual historian Quentin Skinner, the author outlines the ways in which speech act theory can be used in the interpretation of occasional literary works of Slovak literature of earlier periods.

The article focuses on phenomena of cross-lingual comprehension mediated by a bridge language. In a web-based experiment, German speaking subjects – without any previous knowledge of Bulgarian – translate written Bulgarian stimuli relying on some knowledge of Russian. We investigate the importance of the selected individual and linguistic factors for success in mediated receptive multilingualism. Proficiency in reading in Russian and orthographic distance between Russian and Bulgarian cognates are the most important predictors.

The text suggests a methodology for semi-automatic creation of terminological resources for the Bulgarian language for computer-aided translation systems. For this purpose, the technical characteristics of computer-assisted translation systems and their components(translation memory, terminological base, machine translation) are described and analyzed. The results of a survey aimed at translators in Bulgaria and their opinion regarding this type of technology are described. The proposed methodology does not claim to be exhaustive, but takes into account the processes that translators follow in their work. Through the proposed methodology, an English-Bulgarian terminological base in the field of computer terminology was also created.

The article summarizes the known so far scholarly facts and focuses on the problematic research fields in the study of one of the most significant translations of the South Slavonic Middle Ages, such as that of Dogmatic Panoply by Euthymios Zigabenos. The Slavonic translation of the Second Book appeared on Mount Athos at the very beginning of the 15th century, and was associated with the activities of South Slavic monks-literati who maintained links with Greek scribes. The Athonite monasticism acted as main engine for this translation in the context of the Ottoman invasion of the Balkans, when the Orthodox literary legacy was the mainstay of identity.

The Church Slavonic translation of The Letter to Marcellinus on the Interpretation of the Psalms (Еἰς τὴν ἑρμενείαν τῶν ѱαλμῶν) is published in the Russian Bible of 1663, placed before the Psalter just as in the famous 5th centuries Greek Codex Alexandrinos. Athanasius of Alexandria’s allegorical exegesis of interpreting the Scripture in the text macrostructures called Приточное богословие (The theology of parables)is investigated in this article based on some selected dogmatic and pastoral writings. The criterion for the correctness of the interpretation is formulated in the polemical Orations against the Arians. The polemical Sermon against all heresies is built on wordy allegories that have semantic and lexical parallels in the Orations. In the pastoral Letter to Marcellinos the technique of building allegories has changed according to the postulate of the selfsufficiency of the Holy Script without permission to change the words. The Preslav men of letters consciously chose the “spiritual” free translation and expand the grammatical exegesis with the means of the Old Bulgarian language. Using the term Приточное богословие for allegorical exegesis, they emphasize the need for allegories to clarify the hidden meaning in the quoted text. The Church Slavonic translation of the Letter to Marcellinus in the printed Russian Bible of the year 1663 contains some archaic forms which testify to the existence of a previous history of the text.

The article deals with the interactive relationship between common vocabulary and medical terminology. In recent years, medical terminology, against the background of current global events, has actively begun to move into the common language. With this fact in mind, the study attempts to justify this process from a theoretical point of view. Descriptive-comparative and empirical methods of scientific analysis have been used in the research. It is shown that words become terms in the context of accelerating scientific and technological progress. In recent years, medical terms have been increasingly used in children's literature, resulting in a unique environment for their transition into the common vocabulary.

They are always topical because their content although sometimes fantastical is a reflection of real life of people all over the world. They are interesting, emotional and influence the formation of child’s personality. They provide context for teaching and acquisition of vocabulary and grammar.

Game as a method of teaching children aids the development of their language and communicative skills, of their thinking and social skills. It can be used for teaching, practicing, revising grammar and vocabulary, for realizing cross-curricular links. It is the most suitable method for work in the kindergarten since it heightens motivation, brings fun, thus contributing to the effectiveness of the educational process. Therefore, I suggest a situation plan based on games.
