The terms such as: humiliation, discrimination, domination, privileges, symbolic power, violence come from the dictionary of critical pedagogy. Researchers such as P. Freire, H. Giroux, P. McLaren, Z. Kwiecinski, L. Witkowski and T. Szkudlarek reveal the mechanisms of manipulation and abusive practices in the field of education, which create/ maintain/ develop social inequalities and discrimination. They pay attention to the fact that school (and state) systems neither fulfil the needs of individuals or society, nor allow to speak for groups representing different ethnic origin, religion, beliefs etc. Similar mechanisms are present in the field of social work, social policy and its institutions. A critical perspective is not permanently present in the theories of social work. Therefore, it seems appropriate to elaborate on this subject and emphasize a number of traps, danger mechanisms of domination and discrimination in social care, due to the nature of this institution, which bears the marks of a total institution. One can speak in this context about discriminatory practices against specific groups (eg. against seniors), but also reach the meta-narrative perspective and analyze the new academic discipline, which is social work.

Until Korea was divided into North and South in 1945, it had maintained its territorial unity on the Korean peninsula for well over 1,000 years. Then, two young US officers drew an arbitrary line along the 38th parallel. Developing into a heavily militarized zone only several years later, ironically called the De-Militarized Zone (DMZ), that division has lasted for decades and into the present. Recently, several symbolic acts were performer in the zone and innovative plans were suggested to make the land strip into a peace park as a symbol of ideological reconciliation and ecological paradise. Yet to many Koreans, the zone is still inscribed as a wall permanently bisecting the peninsula not only physically but also culturally. Through an analysis of Robert Frost’s poem “Mending Wall,” this article contemplates the divisions within South Korean society over the North-South divide as a war over the telling of history. This history, however told, must be understood alongside the sentiment of han, a Korean word loosely defined as frustration, anger, and sadness, something that has been shaped by centuries of suffering from wars, invasions, colonization, injustice, and exploitation.

The problem of the customers’ satisfaction is very usual in Economics literature, mainly in the Marketing field of analysis. In this paper we used a very common marketing tool: the questionnaire, in order to see and to conclude about the satisfaction of the clients of a tourism location, such as a hotel. We also try to introduce some Philosophical aspects, especially from Immanuel Kant’s ideas, regarding the knowledge and the possibilities of understanding the reality, passed through the mind’s filter, adding customers’ perceptions, a priori beliefs and other subjective traits. On the other hand, the use of the questionnaire is very sensitive, also from the Philosophical point of view, because we don’t know exactly how accurate are the answers, or if we questioned a significant sample of customers. At sum, including economic and philosophic aspects, the satisfaction of customers is obviously illustrated in the study.

The presented theoretical aspects support the use of the game in this process. Didactic games offer advantages to both the teacher and the students. The information transmitted through this method is easily assimilated by students who can develop behaviours, attitudes or beliefs. However, all this can be done under the careful coordination of the teacher, in order to avoid possible deviations leading to failure.

This paper examines the fate of the family and economic archives of the Andrássy family after the confiscation of the property complex in Betliar and Krásna Hôrka after the World War II was over. Complicated property rights and changes in ownership resulted in the fact that the archives were put into keeping of the Agricultural Archives (Pôdohospodársky archív) in Bratislava. Local government and the administration of the State Cultural Estate in Betliar, who managed the remains of Betliar and Krásna Hôrka Castle as museums, sought to keep this family archive in its original place. However, this resulted in a forced transport of parts of this archive into the branch of the Agricultural Archives in Levoča.

The Polish Armed Forces are one of the pillars of security of the country. Currently, Poland, as a Member State of both NATO and the European Union, might be required to engage soldiers in defence against a military threat. The primary role of the armed forces is to perform actions aimed at the preservation of security, but also to prevent potentially menacing situations, both home and abroad. All activities must comply with the strategy of the North Atlantic Treaty.
