Instituţia cenzurii şi accesul la documentele privind secretul de stat
In Romania, censorship, as an independent organization, was formed in 1949, having been called “General Department for Press and Publications” (DGPT) and the protection of State Secrets did not enter into its duties. Censorships’ attempts to monopolize the “State secret” must be explained by the influence the Soviet censorship had on similar Romanian institutions. The understanding of censorship mechanism could contribute to the declassification of many documents inaccessible today in the archives.
