Short Description

The yearbooks (ISSN 1311 – 493Х) of the ‘Ongal’ Association of Anthropology, Ethnology and Folklore Studies aim to fully represent the theoretical studies and empirical research done by its members and affiliates. They contain the complete texts and the abstracts of the papers and research reports delivered at the annual international symposia organized by the Association in Sofia, Samokov and Rousse. The titles of the yearbooks reflect the topics of the symposia. Since year 2000 ten volumes have been edited (http://www.ongal.net/web.html). The already published yearbooks, as well as the planned ones for 2013 and 2014 are dedicated to the following fields of study: “Religion and Folklore,” “Cult and Ritual,” “The Languages of Communication,” “Ethnos and Mentality,” “The Ethnology of Space,” “Epos-Language-Myth,” “Image and Memory.” The municipality of the town of Samokov kindly supported the publications of the volumes 5 (2008) to 10 (2012).
