Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to recognize the degree of competitiveness and specialization of individual provinces in Poland in the field of grain production. The results are presented on the basis of the method of Esteban Marquillas competitiveness changes, which allows the diagnostics of the region's production potential. This analysis allows for the identification of specialized regions and the nature of structural changes in the scope of the phenomenon under investigation. The research was carried out on the basis of data from the databases of the Central Statistical Office. Research covers the years 1999 – 2017.
