Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of motivation in foreign language learning and the changes that motivation undergoes during online courses. The author attempts to explain what the motivating and demotivating factors are for distance learning. The text also provides tips on how to shape students’ motivation during online learning. The article contains the results of a survey conducted among high school students attending Spanish courses.
