Summary/Abstract: In the autumn of 1912, an attempt was made in the United States to unite the entire Bulgarian emigration into a single patriotic political formation. It received the name Macedonian-Edirne Bulgarian People‘s Organization (MEBPO). The initiative for its creation belonged to the Bulgarian emigrant colony in New York. The document published in the article is a detailed statute of MEBPO, regulating its future activity. Although for a number of reasons the establishment of the organization did not take place, the document is an important testimony to the patriotic aspirations of the Bulgarian emigrant colony and its empathy for the fate of their compatriots who were under foreign rule.
