Summary/Abstract: In the early 19th century in Constantinople lived many Macedonians. The conditions in which they lived were very bad. Already in the middle of the 19th century Macedonians living in Constantinople recognized the need of medical care. At the beginning of 1895 was based company „Bratstvo“to raise funds to build a hospital. Donations were made by the lot Macedonians. Largest amount was contributed by Evlogi Georgiev. After building on the hospital the largest part of the contingent taking cure at the hospital were poor Macedonians sent there by parish educational councils. The hospital worked until 1925 when it was declared state property belonging to Turkey.
