Summary/Abstract: The paper brings forward an exhaustive presentation of a very important episode in the Old Testament: Exodus 33. This episode is particularly important for the theology of the Face, but also for the understanding of the possibility / impossibility of man to actually see God’s Face. The author’s discourse is focused on creating a portrait of Moses as the absolute favorite of God, as the one prophet to whom God spoke Face to face. From all the episodes which present us with repeated dialogues of God to Moses, the author strongly believes that this one is definitely the most important in understanding Moses’ personality and spiritual experience.
