Digital technologies in the context of fine art

Summary/Abstract: The article considers the idea of digital technologies not only as a means of expression (tool) for creating works, but also as a digital environment in which a concept inspired by the digital context is realised. The chronology of the formation of the different types of digital arts and the technological processes in the creation of works in certain time periods is traced. Our focus is concentrated on various examples of media arts that are directly related to computer technologies for creating visual copyrighted works. The development of technologies is considered as a continuous process, which is a prerequisite for experimentation and creation of new artistic practices.
