Summary/Abstract: The present scientific work examines the deinstitutionalization in Bulgaria. Deinstitutionalization is a social reform that aims to completely change the model of social services in Bulgaria. This process called "deinstitutionalization" is not new. It is “a long and complex process, as it involves changing the lives not only of children, but also of people from vulnerable groups.
