Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the words, particles and connectors, (1) ‘e’ and ‘no’, (2) ‘a’ and ‘ali’, (3) ‘kako’ and ‘ka’ and (4) ‘te’ and ‘što’, as well as (5) syntagmatic connectors ‘al i’, ‘kad ali’ and ‘te liš’. The analysis is made by looking into the examples from “Stephen the Little” and by comparing them with those from “The Mountain Wreath”, “The Ray of Microcosm” and other works by Njegoš.
